The absolute best way to take care of your pet if it needs to be put down. Way better than a visit to the veterinary office where most pets are full of anxiety. The mobile veterinarian comes to your home and lets your pet go peacefully in comfort with dignity. We had to use Mimi recently and she was a true professional. She showed us and our dog real compassion and love and walked us through a most difficult situation. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Thank God for Mimi and what she does.

    Dr Mimi with my girl

Dr Mimi was absolutely amazing. My girl fell in love with her as soon as she came in the house. Mimi was caring, loving & compassionate. She explained everything and took the time to answered any questions. I couldn't ask for a better Angel to help assist my beautiful girl over the Rainbow Bridge. She is a true blessing. Thank you Mimi I would definitely recommend Lap of Love

I wish I didn't need this service but I am thankful it exists. We took my sweet Stewie to the emergency vet and got bad news. We opted to take him home and spend time with him. The following morning, he wasn't doing any better. It was a Sunday morning and I didn't know what to do but I knew that I couldn't take him back to the vet. I heard about lap of love from a friend. We called on Sunday morning (must have been around 8:30). The lady who answered took down all the necessary information. She was very patient and kind. Within two hours, Dr Matt had arrived. He called about 30 minutes before arriving to let us know he was on the way. When he arrived, there was a gentle knock on the door (I appreciated that he did not ring the bell). Dr Matt was gentle, compassionate, and said all the right words in this difficult time. Once Stewie had his angel wings, Dr Matt made a keepsake paw print and saved a lock of Stewie' s fur. We received a personalized handwritten sympathy card a week or so later. Thank you very much for making this difficult process just a little easier.

We had to say goodbye to our dog Annie yesterday and I was so relieved that Lap of Love could come out to our house to help her cross the rainbow bridge. Annie would always get anxious going to the vet, so we knew we wanted to do this at home where she would be most comfortable. Annie was diagnosed with lymphoma about 4 months ago and did well for a really long time, but rapidly declined over the last few days so we knew it was time. Dr. Amanda Buerke was so incredibly kind and caring and took time to get to know Annie. She walked us through the entire process before she did anything so we'd know what to expect. We were able to be with Annie and pet her the entire time. After Annie was gone, Dr. Amanda gave us as much time as we wanted to sit with her and process what just happened. We also took this opportunity to bring our 2 cats out so they could see/smell her, in hopes that it would help their grieving process. Dr. Amanda created a clay paw print and took a clipping of Annie's hair for us as keepsakes. Once we had our last moments with Annie, she gently wrapped her up in a blanket and took her to her car. She promised to handle her with respect, which I appreciated.

Rest in peace my love of almost 18 years. You touched so many lives.

Lap of Love made the second worse day of my life as comforting as possible. For anyone who thinks euthanizing your pet at home sounds bizarre, I did honestly at first too. I thought there was no way I could do that but to know that my pet was not disrupted going to the vet and being in a noisy place etc. to let him cross the rainbow bridge on the bed that he has slept in for years was truly the last act of love we could give to him. Dr. Elizabeth did his paw print and took care of all of the arrangements for us to be able to pick up his ashes at our vet. It is the only way I will ever say goodbye to any of my babies in the future. They have a pet memorial page that was heartbreaking but healing also to read and post on. https://www.lapoflove.com/pet-memorial/15019

From the call center to Dr Brandi, this company is truly amazing. They take the time to listen, care, and explain the process. You can choose which parts of the process that you would like to be involved in. My sweet kitty boy passed away in my lap since that was what I wanted, and I chose to walk him to the car with Dr Brandi. He was snuggled in a basket with a blanket which is so touching. She answered any question that I had as did the call center when I called a few times. I cannot recommend this way of your animal crossing the rainbow bridge more highly. I also really appreciated that I did not feel rushed in any part of this process

Like the other reviews said we find this very hard to make a review because we lost our best friend today. Lap of Love employees are angels. Dr. Mat came to our home and was very caring not only for us but for our pet. We never were rushed and continued with our hugs until the end. Dr. Mat even made an impression of our dog's paw in clay and gave it to us. We decided to buried her in the yard and Dr. Mat even offered to assist in carrying her to her final resting place. Again I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mat and the women who work at Lap of Love.

From scheduling to the day of, they were so kind, compassionate and empathetic. We weren't just another pet family, I felt cared for by them. They explained the process and we set up a plan to make my dear Sammy, female Tabby (15), be the most comfortable and stress free. I cannot imagine having done this any other way. And as much as it sucks, I feel so at peace with using Lap of love and having it done at home. Dr. Maite Santos-Torres and Dr.Andrade (I believe was her name) walked us through and gave us all the space we needed.

Our baby girl who was 12, suffered a terrible aspiration pneumonia and subsequent Megaesophagus a little over a week ago. After 6 nights in the ICU at UF Vet school and us trying everything from oxygen to NG tube with tube feeds to IV fluids & IV antibiotics, our baby couldn't overcome the odds. I contacted Lap of Love this past Wednesday when we decided to withdraw care and take her home for the best few days we could offer her. Every hour we had her home was spent loving her. I had made an appointment for this morning so my husband, myself, & her nanny could be here holding her together. Dr. Anika came to our home & was so kind and gave us time & answering our questions.I set up everything for billing on the first call to them so this morning thankfully was just a signature. We opted for private cremation and they handled the rest. We were allowed to have our sweet girl outside on our back porch with the fan on her just as she loved most. After some pain meds with muscle relaxer & sedative, she made us a beautiful paw cast that she left us. Our baby girl felt no pain and was so peaceful. The heartbreak of losing a fur baby is so incredibly hard but knowing this company exists to do it peacefully in our home, surrounded by our pack, gave us peace. We are so grateful for what the staff and doctors do for those who have chosen to let their fur babies go with dignity and in their own environment. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to everyone whom we interacted with for calls and at home.

Well let me start with this. I called to make an appt. Anna the virtual assistant ran me around…read morethru prompts, but it's AI what can you expect. I needed to get Willow spayed but needed to know the procedure and cost and from the website described it's an exam first before any work is done. No pricing or questions answered online only the bounce back and forth. I made a blind appointment (online only) and went to the Sanford location. They told me the exam was 35.00 BUT WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 150.FOR BLOOD WORK IS NEEDED. This only took 10 minutes in and out, great when I went to checkout, the girl asked for 235.00! I clearly heard 185.00. Then she said your dog is over 5 years old (I TOLD HER THAT SHE WAS BEFORE WE AGREED ON THE VISIT never mentioningthe +50.00) and the blood work would be an additional 50.00. You can see clearly see the road we are going down. I said "no I'm paying 185.00 like you originally told me!". She apologized and asked for the higher balance which I wouldn't have minded if she just gave me the proper quote in the beginning. I refused and asked for the manager. She went to the back and came forward and told me the manager was busy! I just knew we're going to have an issue here. I asked for someone to talk to. Meantime I was very calm and polite but adamantly courteous. Finely after her returning a second time she said she could remove the additional balance. I told her thank you and proceeded to pay. She noted the balance was now 265.00. Like Whaaa... She said I'd have to pay half the procedure before we can book the operation. She said maybe next week after the blood work is reviewed in 2 days. So I'm paying 185.00 and not knowing what the blood work is, and I need that info before we can even do the procedure? Yes! she might be to old she said. OMG!! I told her "I'll pay what I owe you, and call me in 3 days with the results. She agreed. TWO WEEKS LATER. After numerous calls for my results and no emails or call backs. Calling Anna the AI took all my information again and again I even tried to spoof the AI telling her I have a large monetary donation for Pet Alliance but three days later....NO CALLS! So I took a morning off and went up there to speak to the head of the clinic (not mentioning any names) and I got a circling of the wagon by the Indians. HER explanation was "The doctor was out for A WEEK, he couldn't do any operations". So no results, no paperwork, no money back and I'm out the door. Thank God I never paid for the operation and used a CC. MORAL OF THIS STORY....Get you quote in advance. Ask all the right questions and don't assume. If you have an issue after surgery or an ailment for your Furry friend could you get ahold of someone there for help maybe an emergency number? Any questions about add on pricing? NO while I was waiting to be seen, a man walked in with a HUGE bag of dog food . He came back out yelling "I can't even get a receipt for my donation" and walked out with the bag!. Upper management listen. If your to big for your pants remember one moldy grape keeps people from buying the vine. I'm just a small nobody and who cares. I could have taken my pup to LA. Underhill animal clinic where all 3 of my Dutch Shepards have gone, but (I thought) would have liked the funds go to a good cause in our community! Maybe not? That's my story and I wish you well!

I am extremely disappointed with the scheduling process at Pet Alliance Sanford…read more This is now the second time I have attempted to get my cat seen for treatment. The first time, I scheduled an appointment and never received approval until I physically showed up at the facility. At that point, I was told I would need to wait approximately 45 minutes. Unfortunately, I had arranged my day around the appointment time and could not stay because of my work and travel schedule. I then rescheduled for another date, only to find out that the clinic is closed on Wednesdays even though the scheduling system allowed me to book an appointment for that day. This created another unnecessary delay in getting treatment for my cat, who has been dealing with fleas and needs care. As a pet owner, I understand that things happen, but the scheduling system should not allow appointments to be booked when the clinic is closed, and appointments should be reviewed and confirmed in a timely manner. I've now spent months trying to get my cat the care he needs and have experienced nothing but scheduling issues and delays. I hope management addresses these problems so other pet owners do not have to go through the same frustration.
