I came in for a scheduled appointment with Dr. Day in order to get trial contact lenses with a more accurate prescription for me. The previous week I was sent home with a pair that would at least get me started with my trial phase after getting an eye exam, contact lens evaluation, and fitting. My first appointment went well. Granted, we all have our "off" days and it's impossible for people in customer-facing jobs to be gracious and personable 100% of the time, but Dr. Day's behavior toward me today was just awful. I came home from my appointment feeling increasingly offended and awkward. I understand she may fit hundreds of people for contacts every month, but for me the transition to contacts is a big deal. I was hoping for compassion in my eye care provider. Here are some highlights: Dr. Day demanded to know why I bothered coming in. After reading my chart, she began to get impatient and short with me, demanding to know why I even bothered coming in if I wasn't happy with contact lenses. I was shocked at this reaction. I definitely had questions and concerns about lenses, but I was not ruling out contacts. She essentially pushed my back against the wall and demanded to know if I wanted contacts or not. I couldn't believe her nerve approaching me in this bullying manner! Until I said "yes, I want contacts", she would not back down. Dr. Day rudely dismissed my headache concerns. She persisted with describing generalities about people with headaches, claiming that almost no one gets headaches when switching between glasses and contacts of different strengths. I asked her if we could talk about my particular situation vs. generalities, and she said "No". I was shocked. She then began claiming that most of the time people get headaches for reasons completely unrelated to glasses or contacts (like psychological trauma). I was left feeling ashamed for having very legitimate concerns about one of the most important tools my body has, my eyes! Dr. Day disregarded my call to the office earlier in the week. When she looked over the notes that were left on my chart from a call I made earlier, she described it as "stuff" and I felt like she didn't take the notes to heart or considered the call with care. Dr. Day insisted on speaking in generalities and not about my unique profile. Most of our conversation revolved around "most people" and their reaction to contacts, as opposed to my particular case. What medical professional behaves that way with a straight face? Statistics are welcome, but dismissing the patient in front of you is wrong. She also continued to mention what happens to people's eyesight after they turn 40. How exactly is this relevant to me? It was as if she was scaring me about the future for no good reason. Dr. Day seemed extremely impatient and intolerant. No need to elaborate here. Most of the appointment was painfully awkward. Dr. Day was sarcastic and belittling. She said things like, "News flash - contacts will NEVER be like glasses! The materials are just different!" Implying that I should just get over it and stop expecting perfection from contacts. She was so quick to strike me preemptively when all I wanted was the chance to talk about my experience. Only after Dr. Day had it out with me did she finally come back to a set of more routine (and productive) questions (which she should have started with!), leading us to conclude that another brand of contacts may be more comfortable and hydrating for me, even if they may never be as crisp and exacting as glasses. I'm looking forward to using my contacts on the weekends, with no headaches transitioning between my glasses and contacts. All this is to say that I won't be working with Dr. Day anymore. Now that I realized they offer Saturday appointments I will continue my contact lens fitting with Dr. Haack, who I originally started with last year and is supremely kind and patient, as well as knowledgeable and respectful. read more

The office itself is clean and there is plenty of parking nearby, but I was not a fan of Larkspur Landing Optometry. The experience overall just wasn't what I expected it to be. One of the girls at the front desk was a sweetheart, but all the others did not provide good service and were actually tacky and unprofessional. Dr. Day chargers an out of pocket expense to have your eyes examined for contact lenses. I have never had to pay for that at another clinic. Weird that I would have to with her. I also felt very rushed when I was there with her and her topics for small talk were a bit weird. They were practicing all Covid protections from masks to sanitizer to temperature checks to even an oxygenation check! I looked at frames and found a pair I liked but didn't love. (I never thought I'd be able to find a contact that worked ... since I'd had a dreadful experience with Mill Valley Optometry who were terribly poor communicators who felt more interested in making money than helping me find the right solution) Dr Nassef at Larkspur Landing was technically excellent, has such a very kind and patient manner, and helped as we tried different types of lenses. i never felt pressured, or that the team was interested in anything other than setting me up with a life-changing solution. I have been going here for years and loved it. Unfortunately the last few years customer service has gone down hill dramatically. So sad because it was a optometrist that I have recommended to many people as the friendliest and helpful group. If it was only a one time thing I would not be writing this. I recently recommended someone on Medicare which I know they take he forgot his card so they made him put his credit card on file until he could bring it in. Unfortunately he couldn't get it to them for two days after his appointment. He called and left a message because they never answer the phone. His girlfriend came by two days later and they had already processed his credit card. They were very curt in thier response to her. I will never recommend them again. So sad I loved them. read more

Last Wednesday evening, our daughter tried on a new shirt and randomly, the tag sliced a horizontal line in her cornea. Dr. Gina Day and her staff provided me with the WORST experience I have ever had with an optometrist office that resulted in deteriorating the vision in one of my eyes because they provided me with the incorrect prescription. My son was misdiagnosed at this facility. We sought a second opinion, and realized that the problem with his eye was very basic, yet very serious, and were shocked that Dr. Day missed it. Because he was misdiagnosed, the problem was untreated for many more days than it should have been, and the result was numerous scratches in his cornea. That has led to numerous days of missed school and sports, antibiotics, pain, and daily re-checks and the doctors. I called to let the office know what had happened, and we never received any response back. We also had to pay for the visit, with no offer of refund. Our family has been happy in the past with routine eye exams there, but we will not be able to go back after this incident. So disappointing. read more

I would give Dr. D. a negative star or two, if Yelp allowed it! Even though my last encounter was more than 2 years ago, especially after reading a couple of the recent reviews, such as the one by P.F., I felt compelled to write. When I had MediCal (Partnership Health Plan), this was one of the few places in Marin that accepted my insurance for an eye exam, so that's where I went. After the exam was done, I picked out a not-too-bad looking pair of (cheap) frames from their "special" drawer. Without going into the gory details that were documented in a formal complaint I filed both with Dr. D. directly and the State board, long story short, I paid extra (out of pocket) to get thinner lenses, because I knew that with my prescription, PHP would only pay for coke bottles. The extra charge wasn't the problem. Nor was the biggest problem even that the glasses weren't the right prescription. I don't remember all the details at this point, but to the best of my recollection, it was after the second pair came back with the wrong prescription that I started to get annoyed. Not only would they not refund the out of pocket charges, but they refused to straighten out the insurance mess they made. When I tried to make a new appointment for another eye exam with a different optometrist, PHP said they wouldn't pay for it, for another 2 years. Dr. D. then proceeded to write a virtual book to the licensing board blaming ME for the wrong prescription, saying that my previous glasses weren't progressive bifocals (!), and that I needed cataract surgery, so it wasn't her fault that the new glasses didn't work as well as my old ones. She also accused me essentially of stealing the glasses with the wrong prescription, that she charged me extra for, even after I brought the useless glasses and told the office staff that I expected a refund in the mail, along with a phone called apology. Anyway, long story a bit shorter, I never got the refund, never got an apology, and had to pay for a new exam out of pocket, after which I bought a number of awesome pairs online, over the next couple of years until I was ready for surgery. I don't wear glasses any more, but if I did, there is no way I would ever return to this nasty, unprofessional piece of arrogant and nasty work! PS To Gina D.: That you don't recall the details of this event suggests that my complaint must have been only one of many. I'm happy to contact you personally, to refresh your memory with the details. However, the bottom line is you owe me $150 for glasses that were returned to you, plus $50 to cover the eye exam I needed to get elsewhere. Or perhaps, if you continue to refuse, I'll SEE you in small claims court. It's bad enough you ripped me off, and you and your staff were SO nasty and unethical, that you're continuing to do the same to others you perceive as poor (and perhaps ignorant), is outrageous! read more

This business has deteriorated since it relocated and I will never purchase there again. Management (a male, do not know his name) is not friendly and was not apologetic when issues arose because his incapable staff made a mistake. Bigger issue: The retail space is now crowded, there is no where to sit, frames are not logically arranged to browse. Staff is totally inexperienced and cannot complete simple orders without help. I recently bought a new pair of eyeglasses for my son in college, who came for an appointment during the holiday break (he has been going here for 6 years). We insisted that his glasses be mailed to him at college on the East Coast. The staff person was so incompetent that she did not document this request correctly, though we were QUITE. clear. A month later the eyeglasses arrive at MY house, and I raced off to UPS to send them to my son quickly. The owner was unwilling to reimburse me for my shipping costs and refused to acknowledge this error or that it was a "real problem" that the eyeglasses for my son had been erroneously shipped to a location 3,000 miles from where they were supposed to go. I found the Covid protocols to be stunningly poor. A staff member (who has untrimmed dirty fingernails) coughed and sneezed during our visit and did not sanitize his hands afterwards. He instead offered me things out of his hands to hold. They also don't adhere to appropriate reductions in density and ask people if they've sanitized without confirming when they come in. I feel for them that they've moved but staff and supervision seem to be wanting. A health care related office just do better. read more

Dr. Haak is gone and so is this businesses future. This place used to be great! .... Now there is a new doctor and new support staff. The doctor is horrendous. She was condescending to me and flat out rude to my mother - we could not believe it. She also bad-mouthed her assistant in front of us, blaming something on her staff, implying they were incompetent. (It sounded like she thought she was being funny) Terrible terrible business behavior. To top it all off the doctor aggressively tries to up sell you and frankly I even felt ripped off. She added $42.50 on to my exam for a contact evaluation and she did not even have me try on contacts - the sample given to me was a terrible fit and had she put them on my eye I would've known immediately that they did not work. I have filed a formal complaint against Dr. Day as suggested by another reviewer below. He has linked the proper form. The new support staff aren't terrible but they are slower and not cohesive. Also, before the staff changes it would take 3-4 days to get contacts. Now, I have been waiting for my contacts for 2 weeks. Needless to say my entire family of 4 will never be going back. What a completely different experience I had today after last year. When I called to make appts for my son and I, I was told Dr Haak was going to be off for an indefinite amount of time but that I could be seen by Dr Day. What a nightmare. The highlights: - I told Dr Day I was there to get an updated prescription for glasses. I've had a big problem adjusting to away and close vision for about the last 6 months. She asked if I wanted contacts and I told her I have a really hard time with contacts and probably not. She said if I thought I at all wanted them that I'd need to do an exam now, because the exam rates are different. (I thought she meant that they would be billing my insurance for this) I then consented thinking I should in case I changed my mind. -Our appts were at 1000 and 1030. I had to be at work shortly thereafter and stated so. Dr Day talked non-stop. She talked about communism, the book Animal Farm, her cat (and showed me pictures), her daughter and her dog showing and completely stopped working while talking. My glasses script was totally rushed through while she spent an inordinate amount of time on contacts that I really wasn't into. We did not get out of the exam room until 1130. An hour and a half for two exams. After the exam she wanted me to try on glasses. I told her I just wanted the script and I would be checking prices on them elsewhere as well. She took me right to the desk and started showing me how insurance pays and that I could probably get a pair for only $100 out of pocket. I told her thank you, but please still write the script. Immediately after she took out her rate scale and told me I owed $65 for the contact exam. ? I thought my insurance was going to pay for that. Apparent not. I was caught off guard by this. I felt like she should have stated I'd be paying this out of pocket. I have never had a doctor take me to the desk and demand payment. It was weird. After I left and barely made it to work on time, the office staff called me at work and told me she wanted them to call me to tell me I still owe $10 for my son's co-pay. I work in a high paced environment, too busy to be talking to my eye doctor's office over a $10 co-pay. My cell phone was the first number on the chart. Why they called me at work over $10 is beyond me. Totally unprofessional. My overall impression if Dr Day is that she wants to milk her clients for as much as she can. What a difference from Dr Haak. I don't feel like the script she gave me for glasses addressed my issues. End result is I won't be returning to this office. For the record, I found the glasses I wanted for $59 dollars, fully covered by my insurance, NOT a penny from my pocket. read more

Wow. I just had the strangest experience with Dr Day. I brought my 6 year old in for a second opinion (she was referred through my pediatrician so I didn't check yelp reviews prior). Anyway my son has been having persistent headaches for almost a year and I wanted a second opinion on another optometrist recommending vision therapy. I thought this was something Dr Day specialized in so if figured I was in the right place. She began the exam and things seemed to be going fine. She wanted to do a dilation so we had to wait for a bit in the waiting area... during that time they wanted me to check out so I paid for the exam (big mistake). Anyway we head back in and I begin to explain that the last doctor didn't think my son needed glasses. Dr Day was recommended glasses for him so I just wanted further clarification and also wanted to ask her about vision therapy and her thoughts on that. Things took a turn and she got super defensive, out right rude and basically she rushed through the rest of the exam, handed me the prescription and basically asked me to leave. At several points I tried to ask her if I had said something to upset her... even trying to apologize and explain to her that I was coming in seeking her professional advice not questioning it. It was all very strange! I tried to talk to the receptionist on the way out but she just kind of looked at me like she had no idea what to do. I had two young kids with me getting restless so I felt my time was up and we headed to the car... a bit stunned and shocked. What just happened?? I'm not sure if this doctor is having mental issues or what but her behavior was bizarre, rude and completely unacceptable. Who treats their patients this way? She actually seemed like she was about to have a breakdown or something. After the initial shock wore off I came home just feeling frustrated and angry. After all they took my $300 but I didn't even get the second opinion I was seeking. When I got home I tried to find the email address on their website to write a complaint and I see on their website that they offer Free Pediatric Eye Exams for these type of vision issues. Wait what? Insult to injury. And they don't have a posted email address and heads up they also don't answer their phone. There's a weird message saying not to leave more than one voicemail that your call won't be returned any sooner. The whole experience has just been awful. Stay away from Dr Day. read more

My wife and I traveled to San Francisco this past weekend only to find that my wife accidentally left her contacts at home! We were panicked! I searched online and came across Larkspur Landing Optometry. Seeing they were open on Saturday, I called and spoke with Josh. Josh was amazing! He helped calmed our fears, helped us understand my wife's prescription and had fresh pairs of contacts waiting for us for pick up in minutes. While I am not a local client of theirs, it was quickly and clearly established that they are first class optometry office. I'm still pleased to be working with Dr. Gina Day! So much that not only do I bring my daughter here but I now get my eye exams here. The staff all seem to work together well now. My previous comment regarding staff members complaining about another employee does not apply any longer because those two people are no longer a part of the practice. And the one they complained about thankfully still is part of the practice and she does an excellent job!!! So applying 5 stars now! My daughter still loves to see Dr. Gina Day. She frequently wants to know when we'll get to see her again. This is wonderful news as my daughter is old enough to start vision therapy this week at the "vision therapy-only" office in the outer sunset here in San Francisco, every other week. One of the worst businesses I have ever experienced. Very unprofessional. Dr. Day is very rude and combative. One contact lens was very incorrect. Went to the "fitting" and left with the one good contact disappeared from the case. The bad contact was bad in both eyes--Dr. Day asked me to switch the lenses to see if that was the problem--it was bad in both eyes. There was a clear lens in the case where the new good colored one had disappeared. In the "fitting" she said that I had 2 contacts in one eye. The other contact was not mine. I ended up going home without the new contact. The second clear one worked pretty well but what I ordered were 2 colored lenses. The clear one was NOT the one I had lost 2 months earlier--that one was an uncomfortable fit, a very old one. The manager insisted I bring the lenses in for him to examine. He kept mixing the story up and offered to replace only one lens. He said that a person could have 27 contact lenses in the eye (implying that the second contact was in my eye for 2 months). I have already paid $320 for this "service" with more payment for the lenses due after a successful fit. In my first appointment with Dr. Day she said that all older people get cataracts--I am 75. Actually my Dad lived to 85 with no cataracts. In the second appointment she insisted that she told me that I had cataracts. When I disagreed she said "Do you have gray hair?" and other accusations relative to my age. read more

Although being in a generally good location w public parking, the inside of the office is wildly tacky, cluttered, not the cleanest, too crowded for those with mobility issues, and is loaded w unattractive and cheap looking frames--particularly for Marin County, not to mention Bay Area clientele. Although I was immediately turned off by the place, I stuck out the long wait where not one staff member acknowledged, prepared me, or expressed any type of valuing my time (read the beginning of poor and it gets worse customer service) during their lateness. The reason why I waited is because I understood that the office brought a specialty to the table that could benefit me as a person with an invisible disability that historically rendered my vision 100% blind, where at times light triggers head injury related seizures, my prescription totally needed updating, and I required someone who could recognize a disorder I have that requires my wearing a prism in one lens that could be overlooked due to low quality basic testing. After the very affect-bizarre Dr. Gina Day took me into her office, she left me there for some time because her own staff poorly tested me, and, incorrectly tested my lenses at their intake; she had to re-examine my glasses, etc. herself--another bad sign. Before she left the exam room, she asked me routine intake questions. When I listed the vision concerns I had and why I was there, her affect grew even more jittery and mechanical. She stuttered, "Well, we won't bother with that." I replied, "Excuse me? I think these are important factors." She said, "Let's not complicate the exam," ignored me, and walked out of the room with my frames to redo the work her own staff botched up to begin w. So while waiting another eternity, I realized the staff never gave her legally mandated notes as they said they would when I made the appointment, and, she actually didn't care anyway. I realized that I needed to ditch this place. I walked to the front desk and told the tall male staff that "I had an interaction with Dr. Day that left me feeling uncomfortable proceeding w the appointment and that I am terribly sorry, but I need to cancel." He walked a few feet over to Dr. Day and said a la diva rotten attitude style, "Now she wants to leave" as they exchanged knowing sideways glances. What in the world?! I have a history now? And, hello people, I was right there! How unprofessional and offensive can you get? Dr. Day approached me and gave me my frames back. I told her that I was deeply concerned that her office claims to offer superior services in vision care and yet she disregarded the importance of my need for specialized attention. She said, "Thank you. You can leave. Good-bye." What?! What did I miss? I said, "I would like to give you an opportunity to explain any misunderstanding because I am a person with a disability seeking your advertised vision services related to head injury." She said, "That's nice. Good bye." People started gathering and watching. She started shaking even more and tried to usher me out. I said, "Dr. Day, I came here referred by Dr. Frank who I regard very highly and because you purportedly specialize in advanced vision care, head injury...and yet you disregarded my history of blindness, need for a prism, vision related seizures...by saying [y and z]." Jaws dropped. She tried to talk over me as in to get rid of me. I said, "You have wasted my time, insulted and discriminated against a person w a disability, and I would like to be heard--not patronized and dismissed, particularly by a fellow female professional, particularly one who is a doctor who I devoted my time, travel...to work w on something as important as my eye sight." Clients expressions turned to pissed--and not at me. She continued in the same vein talking over me. I told her that her conduct was not only incredibly rude, but irresponsible, discriminatory, and illegal and I am looking for [her] to take the opportunity to respond w something constructive if there has been a misunderstanding.". She said, "Thank you. You can leave." I said, "Okay, well...no, thank you for the opportunity to report people like you who need to be held to higher standards of medical, ethical, and moral conduct." and as I turned to leave, I heard her say, "Uh huh, that's nice. Good bye." What a disgusting woman w a disgusting staff and disgusting office. read more

Super nice staff and amazing service. Dr. Haack helped me find me the perfect prescription and I learned a lot while doing it. I love to work with a Dr. who spends the time to talk and discuss how things work, so that in the end you can be on the same page and understand what you are getting. I'm certain I took up twice as much time as what was required, but in the end I felt comfortable and confident in the results. My husband spoke to Josh on the phone who was so kind and helpful. He took the time to confirm my prescription over the phone and once we arrived at the office with prescription in hand, he was able to provide us the contacts right then and there. Do not go here! They took my last set contacts and gave me the wrong prescription so I couldn't drive for two weeks waiting for them to get new ones in. Then when I needed to get my contacts before the insurance benefit ran out at the end of the year they suddenly required another appointment while I was out of town. I really love the multitude of eyeglass styles they offer. They've even made lenses for my over-the-counter frame purchase at another retail shop. They have a good range of prices as well. I've never had a problem with loose lenses, or ill fitting frames. They usually get the fit right the first time; on the rare times I've had to adjust the frames, they've been friendly and helpful. One star is missing because of encountering large crowds of folks despite making an appointment. The wait time was very long. I'm hoping this was an isolated incident, because the employees are always so courteous and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

I had a nice, comfortable experience at Larkspur Landing Optometry this Saturday morning. Dr. Day was very friendly and explained the tests they perform during the eye exam because I was curious. Josh and Jorge were friendly and relaxed, and Josh explained in detail the frames my insurance covers and how much. He pointed out the cases with the different types of frames and measured my pupillary distance and explained it clearly when I asked. I haven't had this great of a experience at an eye doctor in years. read more

The staff are great and so caring and helpful. Covid protocols are all in oder during these times. Dr Baptista is an amazing and thorough eye doctor. I highly recommend her for anyone in need of a new optometrist. She recommended bifocal contact lenses and I was fitted for glasses for distance. I loved everything ab out my visit and success of my purchases for contacts and glasses. They are located in Tamal Plaza now, not as their name says in Lasrkspur Landing. So make sure you don't use the old Google map. read more

Doctor Day and assistants are professional and cheery. There are SO many styles to choose from. It was a fun eye exam with a nice experience picking out my new frames. I was a new patient with Dr. Day, and should have first read the multiple negative reviews concerning her doctor-patient relations, for I had a similar experience and will NOT be patronizing her business again. If she hadn't dismissed me and walked away by claiming "We're done" after the exam, I would not be seeking a public last word. At the end of the exam, I asked for the PD measurement to be added to my eyeglass prescription for online orders. She suggested I measure it myself (which I have, I just wanted to compare measurements) and then proceeded to give me a lecture about buying local (which means buying overpriced retail frames in her shop that are made in China). During the buy local lecture, I clarified that I am getting glasses through her shop, thus ended her first objection to not give away the PD measurement unless I was getting glasses. She then blamed my healthcare plan (Medical/Partnership Health Plan) for low reimbursements for the covered frames and continued to suggest that I spend my money locally and above my insurance coverage! Oh my! She effectively berated my current unemployment status and I take extreme offense to that. Furthermore, now is not the time to goad me for out-of-pocket expenses, when I am admittedly on a budget yet still trying to take responsibility for my health. I then explained that I would have chosen BRAND frames if she carried what I am looking for.* Then she walked away from me saying "We're done" and into the security of her staff office section. There was no pleasantry, goodbye, thank you for doing business, or any service-oriented closure (except of course from the staff who have to do damage control, and were professional and courteous the whole time). I feel Day's frustration between service, patients and insurance companies. However, it is not only unprofessional, it is completely inappropriate to blame your customers for 1) their insurance company benefits, and 2) for not patronizing the retail shop. I sincerely felt harassed and insulted. We patients only have buying power and doctor choice, not the power to set the terms for the insurance companies. So my suggestion is instead of blaming, shaming and complaining about the system to individual patients, why not choose to NOT accept Medical patients, new patients, or whatever other insurance carrier you dislike. No one is forcing you to take these low income patients that you clearly condescend and feel appropriate to "kick them while they're down." What happened to observing the Hippocratic Oath statement you have on your patient clipboard? I may also feel compelled to file a complaint with the certifying board, for this doctor's behavior and judgement were outrageously inappropriate bedside manner evidenced by previous reviews. When one starts to view your patients as customers, maybe it's time to get out of the profession. And when one starts to blame the patients, it's definitely time to get out. *I have 2 frames to buy with my updated prescription: eyeglasses (rimless is my preference) and sports sunglasses (wrap around are a necessity on the water). I will and generally do spend above the insurance parameters for brand, style and durability; in fact, only once did I choose the low-end frames that were covered with my insurance in the 1990s. I seriously looked at the entire shop stock and found NO rimless frames and only Maui Jim brand sunglasses (which are way too large for my small female face). From what I can tell, there is a tremendous amount of inconsistency at LLO. Perhaps Dr. "Edward" is as excellent as some say, but Gina Day has made it impossible for me to ever return to this awful place to find out if that's the case. In reading through reviews of Gina specifically, it's a pretty mixed bag. However, my experience was almost exactly like CJB's. I only wish I had read that review BEFORE I wasted my time, money and insurance benefits. CJB had mentioned "incompetence", "rudeness" and "gall", so I will do the same: Incompetence: Check, two wrong prescriptions so that I couldn't see as well as with my existing/old glasses Rudeness: Gina was late for my first appointment after I had been told to arrive early, and despite me having told her staff that I had another appointment after the one with her. Rather than apologize, they tried to detain me for an exam that I specifically did not need and wasted about 45 minutes of my time just to schedule another appointment. At the return appointment, not only was Gina late but she blamed ME for making her late for her "other" patients. She not only tried to rush me through the appointment, after wasting most of it quizzing me on my past treatment for an unrelated eye condition, and trying to convince me that I no longer needed bifocals though I've been wearing them for years. She also kept trying to tell me that she wanted to make a referral to another ophthalmologist, even though I had just seen my ophthalmologist who told me to get new glasses. Gall: Unmitigated! I was pressured into paying $150 out of pocket in an attempt to "resolve" the problem of the first incorrect prescription. Then, after the second pair came in wrong, I was told that there were no refunds, and that it was my fault, to boot. There's more to it, but the bottom line is that I was treated horribly, $150 was stolen from me and my state insurance benefits were used up. Because I am a Medi-Cal patient it took four months to get an authorization for another eye exam so that I could get a corrected prescription, which is significant;y different than the ones provided at LLO. Gina still refuses to refund my money, or to return any of my numerous messages to try to straighten out the mess she made, though she has sent out several dishonest letters, shirking responsibility, continuing to blame me, and "dumping" me as a patient. It is appalling that Gina Day treats low income (or any) patients this way. I intend to pursue whatever legal recourse is available to ensure that I am reimbursed and compensated for all damages, but this woman needs to lose any contracts she has the the state. She is just AWFUL! read more
