Giving the HP LaRosa's 4 stars because I can't do half stars. It's really 3.5, which is the average rating as of this review. I have been ordering from this location for years. (Decades, actually). It's consistent. There has been plenty written about pizza, and LaRosa's place in the pizza world. It is what it is. Not everyone likes it, but it's very consistent. I like to order mine well done with the pepperoni on top to make sure everything gets done enough. It's good. Never outstanding, and never terrible. read more

Was excited to try one of Cincinnati's most indigenous pizza places. When people would talk about LaRosa's, there was never a mood of "it's sooo good" so my expectations were set realistically. We got the double pepperoni which was listed as their most popular for takeout. The pizza looked good at first glance. What I tasted was mediocre, pretty flavorless pizza. They use provolone cheese and have a sweet tomato sauce, which together provides little flavor and no punch. It was one of the few pizzas that we didn't finish; the taste just wasn't worth it For Cincinnati natives who grew up on LaRosa's, I'm sure there's some nostalgia and appeal. Very good service from this LaRosa's! My toddler and I stopped in for a lunch date and everyone was super nice to her, asking her name and interacting with her. We were in 10 minutes after opening on a Tuesday afternoon and ordered the Spaghetti A Plenty special. Emphasis on the "plenty." My little and I took home a box full of Spaghetti. After eating leftovers, I STILL have more in the fridge. Needless to say the portions are huge! The garlic bread was probably the best I've ever had at any LaRosa's location. LaRosa's is known across the city for their signature pizza and deep dish pizza, covered with a heavy red sauce and thick cheese. Put some parmesan on top and it is good to go! However, LaRosa's has a lot more to offer than just pizza... their hoagies, spaghetti & meatballs, salads, and now fish (during Lent), is all fabulous! This homestyle cuisine makes you feel right at home, just like my grandma makes. So delicious and comforting! I have not dined in but like to leave a review on the food, delivery and catering. My work uses this location for delivery and catering. We ordered more than a couple of times and had no problems with the temperature of the foods (warm and fresh), no missing orders, they give enought utensils and condiments, delivery is always on time and the meals taste great. So far we ordered pizza, salad, hoagies and recently catered in boneless chicken, chicken alfredo, vegetarian ziti, meat lasagna and breadsticks. My first time trying the pasta at Larosas and my favorite was the meat lasagna and chicken alfredo. Very delicious. I would recommend ordering from this location and love that you can order online (especially if you have special instructions). read more

This has been a favorite haunt of ours for over 30 years, but they've messed it up recently. The dining room used to be spacious, warm and a little old-fashioned, but they remodeled the interior such that over a third of it is gone and now the decor is some obnoxious form of "modern". The new server messed up both of our orders and the food didn't taste the same. We'll probably try a LaRosa's in a different neighborhood, but we won't be back to this one. read more

As a relatively recent transplant, I sincerely dig the Skyline chili, give a thumbs-up to Penn Station as a homegrown sandwich chain, and appreciate Izzy's, too. But I cannot get with this bland, doughy, sugary-sweet simulacrum of pizza. The flaccid, floppy, tasteless crust is an abomination. And when will LaRosa's figure out how to prevent their cheapo, oleaginous cheese from sliding right off the pie? In all seriousness, this is not food for adults. I have to believe that this food is actually designed with five-year-olds in mind, seeing as how the pizza at Chuck-E-Cheese's, probably aimed at a target clientele two or three years older than that, is better. Only reason I bump this rating up to two stars is because, on the few occasions I have been to a LaRosa's, the restaurant seems to be clean and the service has been polite and efficient. read more

Having spent nearly half of my life living in Cincinnati, LaRosa's pizza was always one of the places that I missed while living elsewhere. Now that we are living back in town, I've discovered some other local pizza places that I like even more. However I still love the thin crust, square cut, LaRosa's pizza. One weekend night a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were out in search of pizza. We first stopped at ZZ's and quickly found a 30 minute wait for a table. Without much room for our son to run around, we decided to try their pizza another night. We drove over to Dewey's in Oakley, and found an even longer wait. We were starving at this point and I suggested we just head over to the nearby LaRosa's for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant and finding no wait for a table I was reminded again another reason to love LaRosa's, I have never had to wait for a table. My wife immediately noticed a new item on their menu, multigrain wheat crust pizza. I agreed to try it out with her. The 12 square pizza serves 3-4 and starts at $9.99 with 3 toppings, we choose ham, pineapple, and banana peppers. I must say that I wasn't sure that I would like LaRosa's on a crust other than the traditional that I was used to, but I honestly could hardly tell a difference. It seems that this multigrain crust isn't as crisp as the regular, but that was the only thing I noticed. I didn't even really taste a difference. The pizza was just as good as always. read more

We are not from Cincinnati and had never heard of this restaurant. We were just out looking for a good light dinner and we were very happy with this place. We had two small thin crust pizzas and two small salads and everything was very fresh, hot and tasty at a very fair price. Even though they were slammed with almost every table occupied the service was reasonably prompt, accurate and very friendly. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Cincinnati. read more

I recently learned that LaRosa's offers crustless pizza bowls. As someone who watches their carb intake I was very excited. I ordered a build you own that included 5 toppings, plus cheese. What a disappointment. It is very over priced for the amount of food you get. I felt as though any frozen entree from the supermarket would have been more filling. I ordered delivery from this LaRosa's recently, and the quality and delivery time deserved a great review! I ordered a small pizza with garlic bread. Both were very fresh, and didn't seem like they had been sitting in some delivery bag for an extended amount of time. The garlic bread was cooked perfectly, and so was the pizza. It was super crisp and seemed right out of the oven. The only thing I think it could have used was a little more sauce. Also - I have to give a shoutout to LaRosa's in general for having THE best online ordering system. The customization options are insane!!! I love a LaRosa's you can walk to-- my entire time living in Cincinnati, I've never lived out of walking distance to LaRosa's. That said, you'd have to be pretty adventurous trying to park at the Hyde Park LaRosa's. It's a wee-tiny, super-busy lot. Service at this location is always friendly and pleasant, if not perfectly prompt. Although I love the pizza, my favorite is the Baked Buddy hoagie. It's surprisingly low-calorie yet indulgent with pizza flavors. I'd give five stars, but the large televisions in the dining room are distracting to me. If I wanted to watch TV while I ate, I'd order carryout. read more

Lemme start this off : I'm a Cincinnati native. I've been eating this since I was a kid. I sold Buddy Cards (buy one LaRosa's large pizza get one free for carryout and dine in) all throughout school. I love LaRosa's - as do my out of town family members. One - the garlic bread sticks. With provolone cheese. A bit greasy, sure, but boy are they good. Buttery, garlicy, deliciousness. Yum. Dip them in sauce or no - my husband devours them sauceless everytime. The french onion soup is decent here - it's not awful by any means, but it's not great. For a restaurant like this, it doesn't actually taste like the canned stuff, is made with good melted cheese on top, and the bread in it is good so I can't complain. The salads actually are quite good here - JoJo's BLT salad is filled with what is actually pretty darn good bacon and always fresh lettuce. The baked buddy hoagys are a long time favorite of my family (except me) with capacolla ham, pepperoni, and salami with provolone and red onion and their sauce. The pizza is good - I only do the traditional thin crust. Cut in squares. I hate when they cut it in squares. Some locations, but not this one, sauce it up a bit much, but this one always does a good job. I love the cheese - they have a three cheese that just isn't as good. It's not amazing cheese, but it works on this pizza and I can't complain. I mostly just love their sauce. Their black olives are really good as are the onions and canadian bacon. Those are my favorite toppings (custom pizza). LaRosa's really is you love it or you hate it kind of place. I mostly love it because of the sauce, and I buy the sauce in the store and can literally eat it out of the can (which causes my husband to yell at me for being terrible, but whatever.) read more

I place a order for pickup on Saturday afternoon.I place the order the night before with a pickup time of 4:00pm. At approx 11:30 am I called in to change the pickup time to 4:30pm and a modification to the actual order. Their system is flawed or the staff lacks training or just does not care. if you place a delivery or pickup order I would advise you to email or call in with your comments. The sauce on my large pizza was wrong but the phone rep gave a credit for over $16.00. My original large pizza cost $1.85 because i had a promo code for a free large one topping pizza. While the staff at the store level leaves a lot to be desired if you contact them BY PHONE OR EMAIL they often make accommodations to the customer. read more

My family comes to this location for the Spaghetti a plenty on Mondays and Tuesdays. For $5 you get a good sized salad, all you can eat spaghetti, and 2 pieces of either garlic bread or breadsticks. We often get the same server, and everyone is super nice and service is quick. read more

Yum!!! So I have never been the biggest Larosas fan because I prefer my pizza crust to be a bit thinner, but the other night I tried their lasagna & boy it was DELICIOUS! A nice large serving with a salad & garlic bread for only $10. Seemed super reasonable for all the food! The JoJo salad is so yummy too - that creamy garlic is amazing!
