Overall I'm usually satisfied with Larry's. The service is quick and they always get my order correct. Place looks clean and employees are always friendly. OK Larrys Giant Subs has been a favorite of mine for years ,however I went into the Palatka store on 7/24/2025 around 6:00pm the young lady that waited on me was rude ,not friendly at all ! I ordered a roastbeef with cheese and ask that peppers an onions be heated and added and for two auju sauces ,also ordered two cups of clam chowder with crackers it was out in like 5 minutes no auju sauce an no crackers so i asked her again for these items she got them but acted like it was a chore .When i got home the sandwich was drowned in mayo and was cold .Abolutely unacceptable ! The food is delicious, hang down. Giant is debatable, the 12" sub is not small but it was a little skinny. Their clam chowder is perfect, it has lots of clam with bacon and spices, very savory. However, the delicious food isnt enough to give this place 5 stars. The cashier was so spaced out, no smile, no offering help. Just point at menu and typing stuffs in, I've seen friendlier cashier in McDonald. We asked for no mustard but I dont think they care. We saw no communication between the cashier and the girl who makes the sandwich and of course, there is custard, which quite overpowering the cheese and vegetables. Still good though. read more

I have been getting my subs as a monthly treat for years and they have made me amazing subs. Every bite gives you that ummm feeling. About a year ago all of the workers were gone, all of them, overnight. Then they bring in these nasty women that are walking around barefoot with their shoes in hand, back to make food without washing them first. No one wears hairnets or gloves and my sandwich which was not what I ordered just didn't have that ummm taste. I had ordered a whole sub and was given a half. I added the drink and chips so it was $5 more then usual but it was not what I ordered. My knee was bothering me so my friend took it back in and they said I ordered a half and if I wanted the other 4 inches I would have to pay $3 more. They paid it and commented that we would not be going back there again. The manager freaked out, through the money back and told them to get the fuck out. I called and apologized if there was a misunderstanding but would they please explain to me what happened, she yelled at me that I ordered a half and I should have read the screen on the register to make sure it was right. Takes way to long to get your order at a place like this. It's a sub shop I understand everything has to made fresh and by hand. Ultimately I don't believe it should take 20mins to make a sandwich when there only 2 guest in the establishment. The staff that works at the Palatka location are rude and not vary friendly. I thought the subs would be larger more "giant" if you will.... I ordered a Big Boss Man and my stomach still hurts. It was really blah. I should have taken it back after the first couple of bites. Worst Philly Cheese Steak I've ever eaten in 65 years of my life. You can forget getting my business. My biggest regret was not taking it back to the counter and telling them this is NOT a Philly Cheese Steak. The one star is a push because I can't choose a half star. I will absolutely never return to this particular establishment. The staff is anything but professional and courteous and you're most likely not going to get what you ordered because they are hung over and spaced out. The produce is gross and old and my wife has gotten sick on multiple occasions, which suggests that they are not taking care of cross contamination. We stopped at Larry's during a road trip through the area which was a great alternative to the fast food chains nearby. The menu had everything you could possible be craving from a sandwich perspective. Unfortunately, when I'm starving everything sounds good and delays my decision making which extends my hunger pains. Regardless, we placed an order with the friendly and polite staff. Also, the dining area was in great shape (much better than the building street appeal suggests). They had great options for the kids along with a couple high chairs. Although a couple items were left off our sandwiches (probably due to our complicated request list of do's and don'ts), they still tasted great and not an issue worth deducting a star. I went through the drive through because of limited walking ability and ended up in line for 15 minutes before I could order and only two cars ahead of me. Then, it took another TEN MINUTES for them to prepare my order and hand it to me. When the person at the window took my money, I told her I wanted her to tell the manager I would not be back because of the continued time delay each time I come there. Another young woman handed me my sandwich and quickly shut the window without giving me the rest of my order. I then had to honk to get the attention of the first woman who was still at the window, but looking at her register. I had to honk my car horn to get her to look at me. As much as I enjoy eating at LGS in Jacksonville fl. I am really disgusted by the service and appearance of the LGS in Palatka fl. The lady taking my order doesn't know the difference between a foot long and a 12"sub. One of the ladies in the back had her pants pulled down below her but(disgusting) the sweet tea was not sweet.
