I love Larry's giant subs, but this particular location was not the best experience. First, they were out of tomatoes and pickles. Second, a number of the fountain drinks were out of service. Lastly, we showed up around 2:30 and even though the hours are posted to be longer, they said they were closing the dining room in 15 minutes. I told him we'd hurry. The service was not the best at this particular location. I hope to see it improve as I like the brand as an overall place to eat. read more

I found this restaurant on Yelp while working out of town. I wasn't sure what the current Covid protocols were for the area so ordered online for pickup to make the process easier. The online ordering system was easy to navigate from choosing my meal to adding toppings and submitting payment. The parking lot for the restaurant has many spots which was very convenient , i was to run inside, grab my meal from the pickup area and head back to the office to eat. You are able to eat inside if you choose, glad to know that is an option as i would definitely come back here again as the meal was great and the menu full of other options i would like to try. read more

First time eating here, but have heard of them before. We were hangry and I wanted something a bit healthier than what was around. This location sits right off 16 before getting to Savannah, in a strip lot with two other eating options. They have outdoor covered seating with fans, and lots of seating inside. Unique, they have their logo etched into their chairs. They also have a ton of signage posting their healthy options and commitment to sustainability (eh, seems like rhetoric to me). It was serious sub overload when looking at their menu. So many options, more than I've ever seen at any sub place. This can be good and bad. My son hated too many options, but I liked it! I settled on the chicken salad 8 inch sub with jalapeños, plus drink and chips combo. Drink station had decent selection of drinks (tea, lemonade, cherry coke, coke, sprite, mellow yellow, Dr Pepper). My sub was decent and hit the spot. My two gripes: the sub was NOT 8 inches (more like 5) and the cost. $21 for both my son's sub and mine plus combo meals. Since I felt like I didn't give my money's worth, can't really give a 4 rating. Still A-Ok though. Please serve up an 8 inch, as advertised, next time. read more

I'm at Kia getting work done on my SUV. Went o Larry's sub on 2 Park Conmerce BLVD.in Savannah GA. I wanted a grilled chicken at 1:14 pm.i was told it's frozen. So I got a turkey sub. I wanted lettuce. Pickles, black olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach . I gest this at subway. I was told they was out of cucumbers and black olives. I got my sandwich, I saw what looked like cucumbers and not pickles on it. The employee said that's pickles not cucumbers. I said they tastes and look like cucumbers. Their site says it's free. I was charged 30 cents for pickles. It says at no additional charges you can get yellow mustard, mayo, bell peppers, pickles, black olives, cucumbers, carrots. But I was charged??? The price was $11.33 it's not worth it. I get more for a foot long at subway and more toppings for free. Floor was dirty, tables not wiped down. Mine I had to use a napkin to clean it off. read more

Food and service was great! The sandwiches were delicious!!! I had an animal and all of the fixings on the sandwich were freshly prepared. Customer service was also dynamic. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Savannah and the surrounding area. It is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. I have also had the tuna sub and the soup. 0/10. Tried to call and place a pick up order at 7:31 pm. No one would answer their phones. I arrive at Larry's at 7:44 to their doors being locked and 3 employees cleaning. I called again and could hear the phone ringing but none of the 3 employees answered it again. I knocked on the door and all 3 looked at me. None of them would come talk to me until I knocked a second time. They tried telling me their "computers are down" which is why they were not answering their phones, which is an obvious lie. We saw Larry's as we were driving by. Stopped for lunch and it was delicious! We had the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet peppers, mushrooms and onions. I was served an Italian Big One on cold bread, not toasted like everyone else does it. And people skills could use some polish here; I'm always wary when the cook/prep person seems unhappy. The meats and veggies were the usual Larry's quality and they're open at 10:00 am, so 3 stars, but this is the lowest quality Larry's I've been in. The place was open, wide open not one table indicating distance measures are required. The sandwich I ordered was the "cuban"... no indication of "Miami style roast pork"! Which is more or less a pulled or shredded pork. The only meat was wafer thin slices of ham an salami. I got the footlong and counted 7 pickles. Bleh..about sums it up. No one greeted me when I walked in the door. And there were no customers in the restaurant. Finally as a first timer, I figured out how to place an order after pouring through an extensive menu. The cashier was not familiar at all with their menu nor did he know what was included with each sub or a side. Once I got my food it was kind of blah. I got the Philly cheesesteak and the grilled onions on it seemed as if though they were previously cooked and just rewarmed. The meat was tough and the bun was lacking as it was just toasted . I also got a caesar salad and for the most part it was just sandwich lettuce a few pieces of ham a few pieces of cucumber and a little dressing. Plain vanilla if you ask me. I walked in to this location and no one greeted me, and no one helped a first timer like myself understand what the process is. I finally saw a sign that read place order here, and when I stepped up to the register to order, it still took some time for one of the four people behind the counter to serve me. I mean yes, if the place was busy I would understand the delay in service but the crickets were beckoning. After scanning the vast array of menu items I chose the NY Rueben. This sandwich was nothing special, unless you consider cold sour kraut on your hot pastrami an extra treat. I am rating this place at 3 dreary stars for poor service, average food, and dull atmosphere. read more

I went there 6 months ago and the service was slow, the bathroom dirty, and the swept around my feet. I decided to try it again today and the service was worse, the bathroom was worse, no napkins at the drink machine, there were dirty lids and straw papers all over the place, and it took 20 minutes to get my sub - only after complaining and asking where my food was did they apologize and say the meat wasn't cooked all the way through so they were finishing it up. Another customer standing near me said he had been waiting 15 minutes just for a cold sub and he will never come back again either. On the way out the door I hear someone behind the counter tell another employee "Today is national slap a f***ing co-worker day so get ready." This is a nasty location with horrible service and very unprofessional. I've heard good things about the other locations but RUN from this place. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I am so disappointed that I felt I needed to. So I order 5 subs on the phone to pick up. I wanted to order cole slaw but the lady said they don't have that, even though it is on their take out menu. When I get there, my order is not ready. Not a big deal but I asked for a cup of water while I am waiting. The lady told me that I needed to pay extra if I wanted water. Why would a business want to nickel and dime a customer that just placed an order for his whole family? I didn't feel like running my card again so I didn't get a water and I waited. When I got home, the sandwiches didn't have all the ingredients that I asked for. They were on my order ticket... just not on the sandwiches. Since they close early on Saturday, there really wasn't anything I could do. It really sucks because the sandwich really tasted bland. While all of the previous stuff was pretty annoying to say the least, what really upset me enough to write this review was the hair I found in my sandwich. That's right... not only did they not add the ingredients that I asked for but there were MULTIPLE HAIRS ON MY SANDWICH!!! I had my family check their subs and luckily it was only on my sandwich but WTF? Where is the quality control here? Something for sure has changed. Larry's has always been my favorite local sub restaurant. But today I went with my family and we all ordered our favorite subs and they were not that good at all. The meat had no flavor, skimpy condiments, and the bread is for sure narrower the meat was hanging off the bread (this was not due to too much meat actually that was skimpy too) and prices have also increased. Hate to say this is probably my last visit because I'm going to miss what once was the best sub around town. read more
