A nice setting for anyone looking to dine with an ocean view. We checked in for our reservation (made through OpenTable) at 11am and were given the option to either sit inside or outside. The menu that we were given listed that there were sushi rolls available, but our server informed us that although they're on the menu, they would not be available until 12. The food that we ordered was decent and the presentation was nice, but you're definitely there for the view more than the food. The calamari was crisp and the za'atar flavor was mild. The meatballs were good, but slightly dry in the center. The poke nachos were more cucumber and radish than fish/poke, but it still tasted fresh. I loved this place! I went to eat here for brunch around 8:30 on a Monday and was seated immediately. (It probably gets much busier at dinner service or on a weekend) I was given a table outside and the view was beautiful. The servers came quickly and were so nice and accommodating when I kept asking for napkins. I ordered birria tacos and a lobster roll. I've had lots of lobster rolls in Seattle but these lobster rolls are a top 5 for me. The food was a bit pricey and hard to eat (messy hand foods) but the taste is delicious! In total including a 18% ish tip it came out to be $75 for two people for only two dishes. It was definitely a great experience and I feel like I am paying for quality and for the environment. Usually love this place and always have a fun time but the General Manager at the bar is so rude and I don't want to say he ruined our afternoon out because we had a great time despite how he treated us but it really upsetting. My friend found a piece of plastic wrapper in her cocktail and she kindly let the bartender know and she was very polite and apologetic and took it back. The manager who we never spoke to comes to the table with a shaker cup and the strainer to show us that it's impossible that a piece of plastic fell into our drink and was basically calling us liars like we would put a piece of plastic for a drink comp??? I had some shocking drama at Hotel Laguna last night. After spending $400 on dinner at Larsen's, I accidentally knocked over a wine glass as we were leaving. A staff member threatened me and told me I needed to pay $100 for it. The manager, who claimed the staffer's name was Israel, was also unpleasant and did nothing to resolve the situation. Wine glasses do not cost that, restaurants buy them wholesale and account for accidents like this. I've been a loyal customer for years, even hosting my wedding rehearsal dinner here and spending thousands of dollars. To be treated this way is unacceptable. An ocean front restaurant inside Hotel Laguna! We visited on a Sunday afternoon for cocktails and late lunch and was lucky enough to get a great table on the patio with a great view of the beach. Menu is simple and cocktails are great. We tried the cheeseburger and the tuna poke. Prices are reasonable for the location and quality is good. Cheeseburger was 9/10 and tuna poke was 7.5/10. Nice but the place was dead and they have these couch areas in the bar but u have to have 5 ppl. We were 3, later we noticed they let 3 ppl. Kinda frustrating. There's no reservation for them, yet you need 5 ppl, no food and beverage spend needed so technically you could sit there and drink water. I think we spent over 400 with sushi, drinks at the bar but the group of 3 and a dog w one round was a better fit for the table. The other one sat open for the whole time we were there. Espresso martini is good, margarita was good. Nice selection of wines and tequila and food was great. I've been here a few times and love the views. It was an $8 add on for about 6 grocery store slices of salami and 6 pepperoni slices. The cheeses were really grocery store looking too. A slice of Bree and a couple hard cheeses, but just really disappointing. The Brussels were really burnt. We thought it was black from a sauce, but it was charred. The scallops were really over cooked and the crab pasta just tasted like they were swimming in lemon soup. Combine that with the wait... our food was taking so long that we were about to leave.
