    Chilaquiles verdes
    Priscila G.

The Secret Menu Chilaquiles Verdes were absolutely delicious! The house-made tomatillo sauce had the perfect balance of tangy, fresh flavor with just the right amount of sourness. Every bite tasted homemade and authentic. The chips stayed crisp while soaking up all that amazing green sauce, making the dish incredibly satisfying. You can tell the chef takes pride in using quality ingredients and preparing everything with care. If you're a fan of chilaquiles with a bright, flavorful tomatillo kick, this dish is a must-try. Compliments to the chef for creating such a memorable breakfast! Chef, thank you for an amazing meal--I'll definitely be back! The service is impeccable

    20% or $200 is NOT $44!

WARNING: DECEITFUL tipping practices! Suggested tip amounts printed at bottom of check are inflated. Our total with tax was $200. The bill showed $44 for a 20% tip - that's 22% of the taxed total and 24% of the subtotal. We only noticed because when the server took our credit card, he asked if he should add a 20% tip. We were surprised but agreed, then noticed the tip he gave himself was higher than 20%. When we told him this, he said he used what was printed at the bottom. That's when we saw that all the suggest tip amounts were inflated. This is either a system-wide error or an unscrupulous way to mislead guests to leave bigger tips. We told the manager, who replied that no one is forced to leave anything. We also found out that our server got someone's order wrong, then told the manager that we didn't like the dish. Dishonesty and suspicious practices throughout the restaurant. Buyer beware! Aside from that, the view is nice and drinks are good. Food was decent, not amazing, and overpriced because of the location.

    Tostada

Came here with 4 girlfriends to celebrate a 50th birthday brunch and the oceanfront window table made the whole experience Definitely a touristy Laguna spot, so parking is either a struggle or $$$. The albacore tostada was tasty but tiny -- more like a mini taco, not ideal for sharing. The seafood tower, though, was the highlight: loaded with big shrimp, oysters, lobster ceviche & more. Perfect for seafood lovers and great to split. Staff seemed a little cold at first, but they were actually very attentive with refills and service throughout brunch. Overall, the food was okay, but the views are unbeatable. If you're visiting Laguna Beach and don't mind a lively touristy scene, this is the spot

I came with my daughter and her husband on Mother's Day. We sat outside and my daughter was directly in the sun. They were kind enough to move us inside by a window with a view of the beach and ocean. The waiter had a nice personality. I split poached eggs and a crab omelette, so I had 2 entrees. Food was hot and tasty. I had a delicious slice of cheesecake. Waiter was so nice. Mariachis were walking around playing Mexican music.

Brunch here was such a treat! The charm, history, beautiful flower gardens, and breathtaking ocean views make this place unforgettable. Gorgeous indoor seating with large windows and plenty of outdoor seating let you take in the incredible scenery. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, we especially loved Frank telling us the history! The whole experience feels like stepping back into the glamour of a bygone era! Highly recommend!

Dined here today 2/16. Lorenzo was our server. The restaurant was quiet due to the rain but the service was great. The Busser was polite and great customer service as well. We had the ribeye & lobster enchiladas, mushroom risotto, barbacoa short rib. The only suggestion I would have is to offer vegetables or other side options for the kids dishes.

    Lemon ricotta pancakes

The view was gorgeous, restaurant beautiful, however, the food?? Gross. We went for brunch, got two lattes, the lemon ricotta pancakes and the French toast. Both dishes were horribly dry, boring and the presentation wasn't impressive at all. I'm disappointed, for the price, the food should've at least tasted good. I repeat, DO NOT GET THE PANCAKES OR FRENCH TOAST. Anyways, enjoy your day.

OMG!! The food was so delicious. Then we'd bone marrow was amazing. The branzino was so flavorful as well as the scallops. Love the view of the ocean while you are relaxing eating. Our serve stafani was great. She checked on us constantly. Great place to have an intimate meal with your significant others

    Enchiladas

Went for weekend brunch. Had a good selection of food and drinks. Ricardo was a 5 star waiter. Drinks were free flowing and good. Food was a good selection and decent portions. The patio was a bit loud due to our neighboring table of morning drunks but over all a good time

    Branzino

Excellent food, ambience and service. Mario our sever was 100% amazing, such charisma!!! Valet parking was a steal at $10 The Branzino 100/10 and the Cioppino 8.5/10. The Cioppino was just missing the broth. They barely put any in the dish.

The owner served us initially, and he was really friendly and funny. We ordered a bottle of wine, and some cocktails. We put in some salads and an appetizer, they were really really good. But after that, our server (the owner we were told) left, and another server introduced himself. The new server was inattentive. He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. The food was 3.5/5 I love to support small business, perhaps we will try again another night.

It was the most delicious Mexican food I have ever had! I got the flautas and my BF ordered the soft taco variety plate. Sorry we didnt waste time with photos, but the presentation was gorgeous, and whole vibe of the restaurant was bursting with happy people and good energy. The views of the ocean were spectacular from where I was sitting, and I'd say it's probably a beautiful spot to watch the sun sink into the ocean! We were lucky to get a same-day, late-afternoon reservation, which was easy enough. There is a charge for cancelations and large parties, but other than that, everything was amazing! Service was phenomenal, even though it was super hot and muggy, no one seemed like they were unhappy to be working there. The restroom was clean, nicely decorated, and whatever scented room freshener they're using made me want to find out how to buy some for myself...lol. The only drawback is the ladies restroom is small, with only two stalls and one sink, so there was a line and it was a little too crowded, especially on a hot day. Otherwise, a top-notch dining experience, and will be our go-to when we spend time in Laguna!
