When Ernie first serviced us in 2013 he was knowledgeable, congenial and got the Sub Zero company to provide free parts even though we were recently out of warranty. When I finally was able to "find" Ernie I asked that he come out to Monterey Park for servicing our Sub Zero. Instead of coming out he suggested a remedy of unfreezing the plugged drain line with hot water using a turkey blaster. Long story short, it worked. What a guy!! Ernie and his company, Dependable Refrigeration has my Sub Zero business FOREVER!!     After 15 years of procrastinating and recharging the SZ532 frig (30 yrs old) with freon, I finally…read morereplaced the evaporator (cha-chang but less than 15k for a new frig). Ernie showed the difference between the old and new evaporators and where they fail. The old evaporator has elbow fitting at ALL of the core joints, this is where it fails (freon leak, icing inside in lower left of the frig), while the new evaporator is a one piece continuous core. What technician would show you the weakness of the frig, when it's their bread and butter. So, if you need to replace the evaporator, make sure it's the one piece design! It's all about his integrity and personality. Typical service of his, on time, friendly, clean, quick, and reliable..... there is nothing to complain about him. In the end, if you are still looking for a SZ technician this is the guy you want. You won't be disappointed.

They left all the wires showing and when I asked about the it, the employee said "if you don't like it, you can have someone else do it". I asked for a manager and they told me there wasn't one. I contacted customer service, who said they would have a manager call me. No one called me. I had to repeatedly call customer service, who said they would have another tech redo the install correctly. I arrive for the services and they tell me they can not do the service based on my vehicle. Iaskedk for a refund and was told no. Iaskedk for a manage, and they brought me a supervisor who looked me right in the eye and said I could not have a refund because they did install it. I sai, Look at all the wires, you're telling me that is acceptable? He said there was nothing he could do. I asked for the store managers name and the district managers name so I could follow up. They told me they are not allowed to give me their managers' names but someone would call me. I left and called customer service. After a few days of customer service calls with no follow-up on their end, I finally got a customer service rep who connected me to another in store supervisor. He asked me why I wanted to speak to the district manager. I told him a refund. He said a refund? Did my team remove everything since they installed it. I said no, all the wires are still hanging there if he would like to see them. At that point, it made sense to him to contact his District Manager to call me. It took a few days, but the DM processed my refund.

Western Rooter was the first to reach out and we scheduled an appointment for today, 6/2/26. They sent Richie, who was polite, prompt, and professional. He identified the damage quickly, 2 leaks, and fixed both in the same day. I asked him to remove some additional debris from the water damage and help me access a water shut off valve in a wall, and he gladly helped with those too. Great customer service, I would definitely recommend them.

He came and gave us an estimate, and it was cool that there is a discount for multiples of the same job. He came back the next day to do the work and he walked me thru everything he would be doing and how long it would take so I could plan around the water being off. Got it done sooner than he expected! After he left there was one place that I saw was dripping a teeny bit, I texted and he came back the next day, fixed it, no problem! Coincidentally we needed a backflow test so we had Alex out the following week and he was great too! He let us know that although we passed this year to be ready for next year being a problem, and we appreciate the heads up! The backflow test was $100 less that another place we used to use so we win! We will absolutely use Western again and would recommend them 100%!
