My very sweet elderly parents have been faithful customers of this restaurant for 20 years. The food has gotten worse and worse and the prices keep going up. After tonight (4/29/25), they will never eat there again. They got a tiny little corn salad which used to be $16 and is now $20 and it's about half as big as it used to be. There were disgusting stringy things in the salad which my parents couldn't even identify. They got enchiladas with pinto beans - the pinto beans weren't even fully cooked. The shredded beef was crusty and dried up. The tortilla chips were stale - like cardboard. This has to be the worst restaurant not only in Edmonds but in the greater Seattle area. They split an enchilada dinner and got one tiny disgusting little corn salad and it cost them $55. Take our advice - never eat here! read more

The good: The restaurant is modern and it has a nice location. The bad: we came as a group of 4. Not a large group and we didn't have any complicated orders. The food was mediocre and I've had better Mexican food at my old college dining hall. The service was so slow and the staff were inattentive. This seems to be a ongoing issue if you read through the other reviews. Another negative: We had called in our reservations and the guy that answered the phone was rude and impatient when my friend asked a dietary question. For such a nice location, this seems to be a waste that the restaurant doesn't take advantage of that and up their game. They've got a lot of competition out there. read more

I was excited to try this place as I'd heard good things from others. The service was excellent we were well taken care of. The food was pretty bland honestly. I ordered the steak fajita salad and it really had little flavor. Almost like no seasoning at all. It was also a bit oily. The steak in my salad was not well trimmed and had a lot of fat. I was with friends I hadn't seen in awhile and was too embarrassed to keep spitting the fat into my napkin. The last piece was all fat however and I lost all shame at that point and just pulled it out of my mouth while no one was looking. Won't be back - for the prices it just isnt a good value. You should expect very clean and well seasoned food for this cost. Really moderate level for Mexican food when there are food trucks and less costly establishments with way better taste. We went late afternoon on a Friday. There were a few folks around. Good location and ample street parking available. The drinks were good. I had them do a blended margarita with jalapeños and mango flavor. The food was very basic. I ordered queso and it had zero flavor. Got chimichanga for lunch and it was decent. Service was terrific, very friendly. Chips and salsa was good. Food was high quality, if maybe a touch non-spicy, but I won't blame anyone for that, maybe knowing it's clientele. I don't know if it was because we visited on Cinco de Mayo, but it was literally the most watered-down margaritas we've ever had. So either the bartender didn't know what he was doing, or he was told to make them this way. Both of us looked at each other and said the same thing. After the first marg, I went up to the bar to see what was going on, to see if he maybe "missed that step" of the tequila. The other thing is I'm vegan and have been for quite some time. With that said, many places do not have a large selection of vegan choices. Well, to my surprise they had lots of options and the food was excellent. I have always liked my food on the spicier side, depending on what I'm eating, and I need good flavor. First time at Las Brisas. The wait staff was a little slow in recognizing us, but then they were prompt with nice chips and a soupy salsa. Our orders came in good order. My wife ordered appetizers, not feeling much hunger, and she was well-pleased with her Taquitos. I had a well-made Fajita Burrito with the usual side dishes and found it quite tasty. The only knock was their horchata. For a $5 beverage I expected something better than a watered-down imitation over mucho ice. Suggestion: visit the Santa Fe nearby and just order their horchata and try to follow. read more

We have been coming here for years, and we were very much looking forward to this meal. Usually we come for dinner, but decided to give their lunch menu a try. The service was very good. We were seated right away, and given chips and salsa, and drink orders were taken. Right away, I noticed the chips tasted different...thinner, and no flavor. I ordered the chicken fajitas for my entree. The dish came out (not sizzling) already plated. My portion was mostly onions, a couple of thin strips of bell peppers, and zucchini. The tiny pieces of chicken (when I could find them) were rubbery and not flavorful at all. The "refried beans" had zero flavor, and were so thin and runny that my fork could not contain them. Visited Las Brisas twice recently for a girls night and a date and had a great time. The ambiance is classy and casual, nicely tuned in with the feel of Edmonds on the whole. The decor is really well done, in particular. Food wise, everything is prepared well, looks nice, and is good quality. I wouldn't say that it's the most flavorful, but there wasn't anything particularly bad. Highlights included the salsa, flautas, fajitas, and combination sides. I was less impressed with the chips and the burrito. The margaritas are good, not weak, but not amazing. The Cadillac margarita doesn't taste like it, I definitely recommend going with the fresh lime margarita instead. The staff are friendly, warm, and extremely polite. Food and drinks came out super fast, though we did have to wait a long time to pay once we had the check. COVID wise, I felt pretty safe and it was nice to be indoors with plenty of space. I wanted to like this so much more. We came in from the cold and just wanted soup, so we both ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup. A kind of soup which I could basically live on. Service was slow and I suspect that our soup sat around waiting to be delivered to our table for quite some time. By the time we were served the tortillas in the soup had disintegrated into it's basic component. Masa. By the looks of the soup we thought all was lost. But then my friend tasted it. I thought she was brave. She pronounced it delicious, so I gave it a sip. It was delicious! So I dumped some chips from the chip basket in so there'd be a little tortilla crunch and a bit of green salsa and enjoyed the soup. Usually Chicken Tortilla Soup is served with garnishments. To start off the service was very slow it took forever even for them to just bring out water and keep in mind it was a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy. Today 1-23-21 myself and two year old granddaughter has lunch at 3:20. Seated and waited 8 minutes before waiter came back for drink order. Only seven tables were occupied outdoors with two waiters. Finally at 4:05 I asked where was our food. 4:10 it came . The fries and grilled cheese were cold. See picture. My $22 steak salad was a plate full of Romain lettuce about 2 ounces of steak, eight kernels of corn, two tiny pieces of avocado and two half slices of cucumber. I take my granddaughter out every Saturday. We have been to every restaurant in Edmonds. This one we will not be returning. Service is lousy and the food bland. I tipped 20% . We were with friends at the farmers market who wanted to come here. The chips and salsa were good. It is a bit dark inside - but very spacious. The waiter was nice. We ate there twice in the past week, the second time was because friends wanted to go there. The first time was takeout. We ordered the first time a Las Brisas' Burrito and some Chicken Fajitas. The burrito was very bland, and there was barely any chicken in there. As far as burritos go, it was probably below average. The chicken fajitas were fine, nothing special. $17 for the burrito and $20 for the chicken. Then, in person, we got the chicken mole plate, and the tortilla soup. The chicken mole plate was ridiculous. There was probably a quarter of a chicken breast in there, there was barely enough for two tortillas worth. The rice was very small as well, so were the beans. The flavor was good for the few small pieces I got. The rice and beans were just basic, nothing special at all. The tortilla soup was essentially chicken broth with a bunch of shredded chicken and tortilla strips, no flavor at all. What shocked us was the price, it was $20 for half a cup of rice, half a cup of beans, and half a dozen chicken pieces. It's ok for restaurants to increase their prices in these trying COVID times, but this was ridiculous to get appetizer-size food for full meal prices. There are far better restaurants in the area for cheaper. Avoid this place. read more

The Chile Relleno was pretty oily. The rice was dry on the outside and exploded . The Carne Asada was tender, but very bland. The pinto beans were flavorless. At least everything was not smothered in melted cheese. Maybe I need to reduce my need for salt. Everything tasted very bland. Maybe a 1:30 p.m. Saturday lunch was too late to expect a fresh-fresh meal. Saturday menu is the dinner menu. Nice decor, with booths at the windows. Bar is off to the side with a tv. My waiter was patient when I asked for more time to peruse the menu. He returned once to see how I was doing, but my water glass was never refilled. What they do well: the atmosphere, the staff that seems to keep the restaurant flowing, the portion amount, the quality of service/attention to customer service particularly when asked questions on the phone, the cleanliness, The parking situation on weekends. One thing in particular that I really noticed and appreciated was how genuineley hot and fresh the food was. When it came out, it was straight off of the grill, hot plate, hot food, happy customer. What they might want to look at: wow the food looked beautiful, I think that a little bit more flavor/kick could be involved, or at least giving the option to add a little bit more heat/spice considering this is Mexican food. read more
