Tried 3 large aguas frescas,, lemon cucumber, mango passionfruit, and ube horchata. There was a pretty long line when we got there, but our drinks came out quickly since we didn't order any food. All three drinks were delicious and super refreshing without being overly sweet. The ube horchata was my boyfriend's favorite, while I really loved the lemon cucumber. I'm basically a regular here at this point. I always end up stopping by, especially if there's even a tiny chance they have the Ube flavored Agua Fresca. That's always my first choice. If not, I'll grab a strawberry milk or the strawberry milk/watermelon combo to temper my cravings. I was obsessed with their mango colada, so I'm patiently waiting for that to make a comeback. Until then, the ube horchata and ube banana milk are my top two! I've tried a ton of things on their menu and everything has been good. The mini pancakes are always a win, especially the ube ones with vanilla ice cream and bananas aka that's my comfort order. The short rib plate was super flavorful, and when I just want a quick snack, the taquitos cup hits every time. I even went to their one‑year anniversary event and left with a whole bunch of their $1 churros because they were that good. No regrets. The ube horchata was perfectly sweet, chilled, milky, cinnamony, and had those beautifully light vanillay nutty Ubey flaves that I love. Pure deliciousity. The agua fresca was good, but the esquite was a bit lacking for me because all the toppings aka mayo, cheese, butter, and Cheetos were on the top and none of it was mixed in with the actual corn itself, which makes sense for the Cheeto bits to not be soggy. Ordered from their truck at the Venice Winter Fest after seeing how many Birria dishes they offered. I got the Birria Torta for around $20, not sure if prices were higher because it was a festival, but the portion was big and the flavor was solid. Service, however, was really slow. I asked for salsa and a to-go bag right when they handed me my food, and it felt like it took ages for them to bring it over, which was pretty frustrating. Decide to check out the news about RODEO 72. Busy booming and a lot of people a multi selections of food and treats. Music is booming a mini restaurant too. We chose Mexican for our first time here. The Agua Fresca nicely displayed. I got the Birria burrito and my wife got the Birria queso taco combo. I got the Horchata damn just the right amount of cinnamon my wife the dragon fruit wow what a kick! We got our food nice Lil Plating consume nice and hot. And taste fresh. My wife's tacos were good had to get here to slow down. My burrito pretty good size and packed. Meat cooked well some salsa on the side green fresh and red spicy kick but not tongue burning. Counter staff very friendly POS is up to date A grade nice Lil pop up. I like the graphic widow it's see through so you can see the food being cooked. This establishment is worth the first time coming Price to product = 9 Plating = 8 Customer service = 9 Menu = 8 Cleanliness = 8 Atmosphere = 7 I probably will return food is great counter staff is great. Las Chelanguas is located in the Whittier Rodeo 72 food hall. It was a hot day so I decided to stop here for some refreshing agua fresca. Service was awful. We noticed items would sit at the window for a long time before the front of house staff would call the customer for pick up. They did not have a pager or texting mechanism unlike other places in this foodhall. They just call out your number so you'll have to stay nearby to listen for your number. One of the things that annoyed me the most was that we stood in line and the cashier WENT TO GET AGUA FRESCA FOR THE PERSON BEHIND US. What the heck?!?!?! And they had to be super slow in doing so. I should have left because the wait wasn't worth it. When she finally took our order, I had to decide on what Agua Fresca flavor at the cashier. NO SAMPLES! Whatttttt?? All other agua fresca places I've been to anywhere else in the world offers samples. And their selection was much more limited than other similar businesses. I ended up getting the 32oz Agua Fresca ($8) in a dragonfruit flavor. It was TOO SWEET even after the ice melted down. My boyfriend tried their Birria Taco ($3.50) and he didn't look too impressed. I wouldn't consider coming back here given so many other options in the area and really awful service. Hopefully they can make improvements for the future for the sake of their customers. read more

My wife & I love to stop by on hot days for the aguas, there's always a new flavor to try. The banana pudding horchata is my favorite when it's available. We recently tried out the bbq plates and highly recommend the short rib and ranchera plates. Service is always great! The cashiers are friendly and we always get our orders quickly. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful, perfectly seasoned...The taquitos were crispy without being greasy, and the toppings brought everything together perfectly. Service was horrible ! birria ramen was amazing but after i ordered a strawberry shortcake churro sundae, first of all, NO ICE CREAM, and then the cashier charged me extra for strawberries when i didn't ask for it i had just asked if it had strawberries in it. The cashier kept disappearing and coming back out going to the bathroom coming back out and then forgot about the ice cream she said she would give me because this is definitely not a churro SUNDAE. The tattooed girl at the register needs an attitude adjustment. I didn't appreciate the eye roll when I asked for my food to be to go. Several minutes later, I received a message that my order was ready for pickup. When I approached the counter, the cashier stated that I had already picked up my order then realized her mistake and stated that she had accidently given my order to another customer. She apologized & immediately placed a second order. After several minutes I again was notified that my order was ready. She gave away my order a second time! She tried to offer me a taco in-lieu. I refused & said I ordered a burrito. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor but was told they were too busy in the back cooking. I asked the cashier to cancel my order & refund my debit card. Of course she didn't know how to do that. Twenty minutes later my order finally came out & I received a rice-filled burrito. I'll NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! read more
