    Carnitas tacos | #intenseypassionatephotography

Hey hey it's Taco Tuesday Adventurers! I came here with a friend of mine looking for the birria but alas! they only serve on certain days(I think Sundays?) so I was pretty bummed. The closest place I know is in Union City. I ordered the carnitas tacos which were so moist and had a decent amount in them. My friend ordered the beef and all pastor tacos, which he enjoyed but ended up taking half home they were pretty stuffed. I also ordered the chamoya drink because it's been so hard to find a good chamoy that has a hint of tamarind. This was delicious! I would come back just for this and birria. The place is small but the waitress's were really sweet. They do not have a restroom so you may want to grab and go? I'll definitely be back.

Man got the Pinacolda shake and tacos, nice little spot to come in and have a quick bite and have their top notch milkshakes!

Stopped in for birria!! Portions were large and service was great!! Needed their delicious sauce for the quesobirria tacos and a little salt. Loved the mango chamoya drink with the tamarind straw!

Order in sandwich/Torta for $15 and ask them its for two and they will split it up in two sandwiches.

Second time here. Had a Cemita sandwich which was very big enough to share with another person. Today I tried the La Crazy Torta. Its was huge with, breaded streak, strips of ham, hotdogs, beans and scabbled eggs with Mexican cheese. Its tasted very good but to be honest it was too many ingredients but my son enjoyed very much. I was only able to eat half. Ill keep coming back to try something new.

Having just wrapped up some business in the area, I had a hankering for some Mexican food. I…read morenoticed this place had great ratings, so I decided it's worth checking out. It's an unassuming place and it's completely empty, when I arrived and met my hubby there, even though it was during peak dinner time. With the torrential rain outside I figured it was the weather that was keeping people away. After we perused the menu and ordered, I went to wash my hands. I only mention this because the soap dispenser in the restroom was filled with water down soap. This made me wonder if they're cutting corners in other areas, as well. I try not to let that first impression influence me and so I went back to our table. Unlike almost every other Mexican eatery, we've visited, there is no offerings of complementary chips, salsa, or water. When the counter worker brought us our order, they mentioned bottled water was available in the fridge for $2. Since cold beverages triggered my migraines, I asked for a room temperature water instead, but unfortunately, that wasn't available. Now onto the food. Here's what we ordered: - Chicken Empanada: 2/5 stars Freshly fried and nicely stuffed empanada. It was filled only with chicken breast, and no sauce provided on the side. Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked. It really needed a sauce to for more flavoring and to aid in the dryness. - Burrito de Al Pastor: 3.5/5 stars Massive!! Easily big enough for two people to share, so we did. The addition of pineapple was such a great touch and really helped brighten up the flavors. The cuts of pork itself was a hit or miss. Some pieces were wonderfully moist while other bits were quite dry. I would've liked more consistency, but I didn't mind a generous amount of rice used as filler. It came with a salsa Verde and a creamy, spicy, red sauce. We ended up using the entire container of Verde on the empanada and saved the spicy, red sauce for the burrito. The server who greeted us was very friendly, and overall the dining experience was pleasant. The ambience is modest, with some colorful pieces of wall decor. They also have weekly specials. This week featured Birria tacos and Birria quesadillas. We opt for the Burrito de Al Pastor because we didn't want an overly meat heavy meal. One thing we found strange was how quiet the restaurant was. Throughout our meal, we expected the phone to be ringing with a few takeout orders, especially with the storm outside. It didn't ring once. The kitchen was very quiet, other than when they were preparing our order. Maybe we caught them on an off night? The friendly service and the burrito were the positives, however, the empanada was disappointing, as well as the pork in the burrito being it was inconsistent.

First, staff is super -super nice!! helpful when trying to decide what to order. Mini Me and I both chose three tacos carne asada with the smokey roja sauce. Hubby had the same but as a burrito. For the sides we had chips and guacamole and the Mexican street corn. Drink were Horchata (Obviously). Tacos and burrito were stuffed, and absolutely delish. They have a self serve salsa bar with the three salsa, the smokey roja, salsa verde and habanero. Let me just say I tried all three- fantastic heat to flavour ration and I poured the habanero on my tacos so good! in fact the smokey roja with the salsa verde is a great combination !! Seating area outside is much larger than inside, we sat inside at a table that had just become available- they do a super brisk take out business and we didn't wait very long for our food to be ready. In fact, my husband and Mini-Me - all three of us, agreed we would for sure make the drive again to have tacos here!! If you are in the area or at school near by- you have to come here at least once, to try the food. I paid for my hubby since he was not my +1 and his meal was about $16. so that in itself is very very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We were very pleased with the food, service and price point.

Si! Love the food and the reasonably priced menu. Everything tasted fresh. The crunchy flautas were excellent and tasty. The Cecina was equally good, even though the salted beef steak was a bit tough, but I viewed it as a fair challenge! The sandwich/torta was equally good and fresh. And I liked the beef soft tacos too. The only drawback was the time for them to prepare -- it took them more than half an hour to finish our order, even though I think ours just coincided with a huge to-go order so it's understandable. Parking spots are not an issue and there were also street parking available if needed. There are a few tables and chairs outdoor when the weather cooperates. Tables indoor are widely spaced and the staff wore masks. Will try some other dishes next time -- Lebanese omellete?
