My fave restaurant in old town Buckeye! Since my last review I have eaten here an embarrassing amount of times and tried a few different things, but keep coming back because the food is consistent and the people are nice. You can't beat their dinner combos, the portions are plenty, food is always fresh, and the combos come with a drink. I recently tried their carnitas dinner combo..I had it twice this week if that tells you how good it is. I don't have a picture but their crispy chicken tacos are also delicious. They have a good amount of seating available (5-6 tables), tables are always clean, & the salsa bar is stocked. I've been coming for the last 4 years and the new cashier is rude. I ordered carne asada fries and 2 chiles on the side and she sounded like she was in a rush and no one was in line but me told me to pull forward didn't even ask if "that was all"? Wanted a churro but ok. She charged me and I waited almost 30 min for carne asada fries again no one in line then she told me she forgot my chiles and didn't charge me for them so she charged me and I had to wait another almost 10 min. Ridiculous. Didn't even apologize needs customer service skills. Smh read more

The service is OK. The selection of the food is OK. The food was OK. Nothing special at all if you want Mexican food go another block down the street to La Fiesta and you'll get a much better quality food. read more

I visit weekly for a breakfast burrito on my way to work. Me and the guy at the drive thru should be on a first name basis after almost a year, but I sadly don't know his name. Friendly guy. Anyways, love their breakfast burritos. I have gotten lunch/dinner food too and never had issues. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars, is that their beans are flavorless. Even my vegetarian daughter won't eat beans here because they lack so much. Even just salt would make a world of difference. The inside is always hot, but that's because they have a small space and west facing windows. It's not the cleanest, but most taco shops aren't. Anyways, big burritos. read more

Pleasantly Surprised Today we wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and decided to go to Las Gemelas Mexican Food and we were pleasantly surprised with our meals. On this visit we all shared the tortas, chimichangas, carne asada burritos, rice, beans, and chips &salsa and everything was really very good. The Carne asada was great, tender and flavorful. As were all of the meats the shredded beef and grilled chicken were flavored to perfection and their portions are really large, so come hungry. Great food, good prices, friendly staff. This place used to be my favorite ... the last two times ... have really failed me. I mean we would drive here two days back to back but something happened. I ordered what I always order, the chicken tacos plate and they had No chicken inside. I had one little piece that was from the bottom of the barrel ... hard and dry. My friends tried to order the chicken tacos and was told they were out so they must have tried to scrape what they had left and get it in 4 tacos between me and my husband. We are always on the hunt for the next best Mexican restaurant, ever since our favorite Mexican restaurant closed in Scottsdale. I love the friendly lady that greeted me once I came in that always goes a long way to make you feel welcome. They do have a drive thru but I like to see new places for myself the first time I go. I went in for a California Burrito which was not on the menu and the lovely lady said she can make it happen. My girlfriend wanted a bacon and egg burrito. I would definitely go back! I'm a big spicy food fanatic so I think I would have appreciated a more spicy salsa than your typical green and red "filiberto's salsa". Also I like their carne asada burrito however I always ask them to put beans in it and they NEVER do. I even stressed the last time I ordered a carne asada burrito with beans "can you please make sure you put beans in it because every time I ask for beans in it you say yes of course and you never put beans" they said sure AND STILL NO BEANS!!!! how hard is that request??? Been to the restaurant a lots times and this is the first time that we've ever had an issue the enchilada combo was handed to me in the drive-through on its side and win got home opened it and it was mixed up in mushed together ordered a half a Asada nachos And asked for extra pico de Gallo and no guacamole and what I received was the nachos with guacamole and no pico de gallo on them but got a little container of pico de gallo on the side was a little sad about the service as well have a few new people in the restaurant and not sure if they get frazzled by how busy they are but the original employees were great. read more

First time trying out this little shop. Glad I did. It had some good reviews on Yelp and the people working there seems really nice. Prices are better than many other Mexican places in Buckeye (and there are too many to keep track of here) I bought the chicken Fajitas and the chicken Chimichanga plus a chicken Torta sandwich (I likely misspelled that) plus an interesting meal called the Cowboy Box. All came as large servings. All looked very good. I sampled the Cowboy box which would be a great meal for making your own burritos if you have some tortillas around the house. I will edit for my wife and daughter to comment on the Chimichanga. But mine were the chicken fajitas. Which had lots of chicken mixed with onions and peppers. I'm guessing you normally get tortillas with order and likely they just forgot as they were busy. But I had some at home so all is good. The fajitas are good and I do recommend them. A word of caution on the Cowboy Box if you are not a person that likes hot spicy food. The food is good but has a good share of hot peppers. So if you are not into spicy you may ask them not to add the peppers. All and all I think this is the beginning of many more visits to this shop. Another word of caution: I tried to go to their website but as of today it appears to be infected with Malware. So best to look at the Menü listed on Yelp and avoid website unless it gets fixed. read more

Always good food every time we go, never disappointed! They have the best breakfast burritos, the only place that I have found that doesn't burn their eggs. I hate brown eggs, changes the taste and texture. They have good size portions, the large carne asada fries were huge and they don't skimp on the meat. Coming from San Diego it's hard to find good Mexican food in Arizona. Sorry to say but many Mexican food places here in Arizona are not that great. In fact they are sub par. I ordered (via Uber eats) shrimp cocktail, ceviche tostada, and five mini tacos. The mini tacos were good but not great - the meat was a little dry. The tostada was 98% tomato, onion, and cilantro and 2 % ceviche as was the shrimp cocktail. I ended up buying a bag of shrimp from the grocery store to even it all out. Never again for me. read more

This was our second visit and I'm giving a big two thumbs up. The Chile rellanó was great. The peppers were well cooked and stuffed and super delish. The green Chile had a lot of flavor and just enough a spice. The didn't have beans or rice but everyone who did thought it Waac really good. I forgot to take pic's before we started eating and there was nothing left when we finished so I guess that says it all. I have ordered from Las Gemelas at least 5x now and love the huaraches.Their salsas are great! The green salsa is full of flavor and the red salsa is hot. Their service is above and beyond. My uber eats driver scammed me (on my birthday) by bringing the wrong order then taking it back but claiming that he delivered it. I called Las Gemelas and they remade my food so it would be warm and fresh and had their cook drive it to me! I would recommend them to anyone. They are an amazing family owned restaurant that I will continue to order from. read more

Just alright. Nothing special. Would compare it to a Filiberto's. The carne asada is a little dry and tough.
