My wife and I went there one night, just the two of us. Couldn't decide where to eat (because I put that decision on her) and we ended up here. It's a new location and a very nice building. The place was only about 30% filled so we sat right away. The server was nice, friendly. We arrived during happy hour so got a slight discount on the drinks. So we ordered some buffalo wings. As you can see from the pic we ate them all. They were just OK. No crisp to them and hardly any sauce. Then the food came and oh boy, what a mistake our dinner decision was. My wife got the AZ Burger which tasted like rubber. The fries were strange also, like they were microwaved, cold. She barely ate 1/4 of the burger. Took it home and the kids didn't even eat it. Then to top it off, the dogs turned it down. For my plate I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Looked good but zero flavor. I loaded it up with salt and pepper and I ended up eating it all. Then I find out the total bill was just about ninety bucks!!!! Holy smokes. One other time I want to the Litchfield park location for breakfast and it was good. My family and I visited this location for brunch on Sunday, June 7 at noon, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Verrado area, behind Bashas' and surrounded by other businesses such as Bosa Donuts and Boba & More. There was plenty of parking available in the plaza. We also noticed what appeared to be a weekend farmers market nearby, which added to the atmosphere and made the area feel lively and welcoming. Upon entering, the hostess and staff greeted us warmly and seated us right away. Throughout our visit, the entire team was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent customer service. Our food arrived promptly, and we ordered the Chicken and Waffles, Buttermilk Pancakes with Eggs and Brisket, a Sampler Platter with eggs, sausage, toast and biscuit, as well as the Mimosa Flight. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but there were a few areas that could be improved: * The brisket had great flavor; however, a significant portion of it was very fatty, especially in the middle, which made it difficult to enjoy all of it. * The Chicken and Waffles were good overall, and the waffle itself was delicious. However, the chicken tenders lacked seasoning and were fairly bland. With a little more flavor, this dish would be outstanding. * The Mimosa Flight was visually appealing and provided generous portions. Unfortunately, we could primarily taste the champagne and not much of the individual fruit flavors. We were hoping for a stronger flavor profile from each variety. One nice bonus was their rewards program. If you're not already a member, you can sign up during your visit, earn points on purchases, and receive $10 off your order, which is a great incentive. Despite a few issues with the brisket, mimosas, and chicken seasoning, we had a great brunch experience. The excellent service, welcoming atmosphere, and overall quality of the meal made it a place we would happily visit again. The doughnut holes were probably the best food that we ate that morning. The biscuits were light and fluffy but the gravy was Very underwhelming. The chicken was crispy and the waffles had nice texture. The strawberry cream cheese pancakes were good. The star of that dish was the honey butter. The best things we ate today were the appetizer and the honey butter, followed by the biscuit. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The worst service I have ever had at a restaurant ever! Party of 4 and all of our food was gross. My coffee had crusted food around the brim of the cup. Silverware was dirty. Please do not give them your business. Also, we ate on a sunday around 1030am and it was not at all crowded. That was our first concern. Da N-n-n-neighbor Mike and I broke our fast, here, this fine, sunny day. Both of us were jonesin' for pancakes. And that's exactly what we ordered. And boy howdy were we impressed. The warm plates were delivered with hot cakes. The real, whipped cow butter had already started melting. There was even butter between the cakes -- already melted. The cakes were griddled to perfection. Light and fluffy. Not too thin. Not too thick. A perfect shade of light brown with hints of yellow from the egg-rich batter. Plateside, a gleaming mini-pitcher of warm syrup. Yes, warm. Not in a bottle. In unison we syrup-ed the cakes. First bite: swoonville! I would swear I could taste vanilla (a favorite!) and a hint of acid á la the buttermilk. For protein, Mike and I are firmly rooted in the belief that sausage is the best accompaniment. (With Cheers' Cliff Claven-esque pontificating: bacon's too close to the overall flavor of pancakes and syrup. Sausage cuts through with its salty/herb-y goodness.) I've eaten lunch at two different Haymakers in the past and they were not very good, so I was hesitant to try this new one relatively close to my house. My mom's friends had breakfast there and enjoyed it, so I decided to give their breakfast a try. I got the California omelette, which comes with fresh fruit or fried potatoes as a side plus toast or a biscuit. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was!!! Our waitress never came back to check on us and I looked around and just never saw her again. She finally popped over to hand me the bill. When I told her, she said "you should have told me and I would have gotten you a side" I said "I couldn't find you and as I was mid sentence she walked away" I just have no need to ever go back. A great fit on the island of Verrado. We already have fine dining at Tempo, and great Italian at Grazie, and then there's the grill at the golf course (which is marginal!). So, now we get a great breakfast spot with comfort food for dinner, and all of Verrado is rejoicing! We ordered the sampler appetizer platter and it was awesome! A good selection, including fried zucchini, fried pickles, etc. I ordered the chicken strips and they were fine, but my wife ordered the honey glazed salmon, and it was out of this world! Their Chicken & Waffles is fabulous, and the whipped honey butter that accompanies it makes it simply divine. The Huevos Benedicto is delightful (yes, I am a chorizo fan).
