Las Lomas must be reading their reviews because, everything I mentioned in my previous review has been dealt with, handled and markedly improved. Perhaps I was too quick on such a new place. The interior remains quite clean, fresh and, the staff are proud of their restaurant being "authentico mexicano". I'd agree. You can easily walk in this place and forget, escape, transport to Vera Cruz or Guadalajara. The food is reasonably priced, despite the massive surge in restaurant and grocery stores prices since January 20th 2021. I found the same waiter who was, perhaps, not as engaging as the first time, to be quite and remarkably entertaining, happy and thorough. He made the venture truly enjoyable. I still support a greater diversity of minor items on the menu and do hope they'll consider black beans, with a greater appreciation for customizing the menu per customer requests. All-in-all however, I believe we have a keeper here, conveniently located near the border of Casselberry and Altamonte Springs on Southbound 436. It's not hard to see "Las Lomas", as it's front parking lot faces the road. Give it a try. You'll most likely appreciate it and return. read more

Truly authentic Mexican is hard to find. We stopped in because of the 5 star rating, and left adding another one! The homemade hot sauce packs heat and flavor. The burritos verde (one chicken, one steak) were excellent, as was the chile relleno. We will definitely be back! read more

I don't recommend. Our first visit was great and the food was really good. Our 2nd consisted of being seated and never being asked for our drinks or service of any type. We finally just walked out. During our 3rd visit we were seated and never helped. We walked out again. The irony is that we told the greeter what happened during out 2nd visit and we still received no service during our 3rd visit. The wait staff see you sitting at your table and don't care. They just leave you seated and ignore you. Look around. There are many many better Mexican Food options than Las Lomas, especially with the price of fuel. read more

Heard about this place through the Altamonte springs Facebook page. Definitely a new place, doesn't quite look completely ready, besides that, I haven't been to a new spot that has it all together yet, but they are pretty damn close. I know they just opened up, but I'm super surprised at how great of a spot this is. The staff is fantastic, super friendly, kind, and willing to serve with a smile. The food was great, the burrito California was pretty good. Great mixture of beef , chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, rice, and beans cooked with great spices, wrapped in a flour tortilla and soaked with both green and red sauce. My girlfriend had the camarones al mojo de ajo, the shrimp was great and was a great sized portion, not too often we get to take home a practical second plate home from the same plate. The guava, and jalapeño margaritas were huge, tasted great, and had a great pour on them. Will definitely be going back again! Thank you Leticia and Daniel for helping us out today! Yes, try it, you won't regret it. This restaurant was the perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. Outside needs help, seriously needs help. inside is wonderful. Great tables and booths. Customer service was crazy good. The waiter on Friday the September 10th was attentive, quick and genuinely kind. The food tasted fresh and was delicious, hot and fast. Prices are very reasonable, saw they have $7 dollar lunches. Mexican food is never my first choice but I would go here anytime my family asked. read more

I saw this place while driving home and decided to give it a try. I had no expectation and went in with an open mind. When I first walked in I was amazed with the interior. They did a really good job designing the restaurant. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. We were quickly seated and presented with fresh chips and salsa. We ordered the 32oz margaritas to start and they were huge and delicious.The menu had a large selection of choices and they all sounded great. It was hard for me to pick just one. When we finally ordered the food came out within 15 mins and was very hot. I ordered the deep fried tilapia and couldn't have been more satisfied with my choice. The fish was very juicy and flavorful. I was very happy with my experience and recommend Las Lomas to anyone who likes Mexican food read more

I'm not the type to leave bad reviews, but after tonight I had to do so. We decided to try this relatively new place since our family loves Mexican food. Everything started off mostly fine as the salsa and chorizo dip appetizer were tasty. A warning about the salsa: if you don't love cilantro, you won't like their salsa. It's cilantro heavy, which I like, but some in our party did not. We were not given napkins and we were dropping chorizo dip and salsa all over ourselves for 15 minutes. We had to ask 2-3 people for them before finally a random fellow we asked grabbed some from the bar. We ordered and the food came out in waves. First one adult got their chimichanga. Then a child got their enchilada and a teen got their chimichanga in the second wave. The fries with the kids meal were undercooked and terrible. But you don't order fries at a Mexican restaurant, right? The third wave was about ten minutes later and another adult got his fajitas. They were tasty. Then we waited twenty more minutes before the fourth wave of food or before we saw our server again. When she came by again we were all out of drinks of course. The ones who had their food were basically done eating. The last adult and child who still did not have their food were told there was a mixup and the adult's enchiladas were sent to another table. Why was the child meal still missing? It was just not made yet. After everyone else was done the last two meals finally arrived. However, the enchiladas were missing the sour cream. We also thought they came with beans so we asked, "where is the beans and sour cream?" The enchiladas verdes are not good. The chicken inside is fine but the verde sauce is not great. On the plus side, the fries for the second child meal were not super undercooked like the first meal. Another ten minutes later the beans and sour cream came out, but we were all done. We never did get the ketchup we asked for for the fries or the extra salsa we asked for when the first wave of meals came. Oh well! The fun really started with the bill: There were multiple errors. We were charged for kids drinks and they came with the kids meals. Fine, they took them off after 10 minutes of waiting for the manager. They charged us for the fries on the kids meals. They explained this because we substituted fries for beans and rice. So we got a taco for $5.99!? Plus $2.99 for undercooked fries!? I told them that was not acceptable because we were not told ahead of time. Fine. Ten minutes of waiting and they took it off. They charged us for the sour cream they left off of the enchiladas they brought out 20 minutes after everyone else had their food. Sorry. We'll take that off. They charged us for the beans we asked about when the enchiladas came out 20 minutes later. "Oh the enchiladas don't come with beans when you get green sauce. Only when you get red sauce." Huh!? So instead of telling us this when we asked about the beans and sour cream, they brought beans and sour cream and now want $2.75 for the beans. After we sat there for ten minutes while the waitress spoke with the manager, I said forget it I'll pay for the stupid beans. But seriously the smart thing to do would be to say to the customer, "We are sorry about the confusion. We are sorry your meal came in four waves. We are sorry you had no napkins for 1/4 of your meal. We are sorry you had no drinks for 1/2 of your meal. We are sorry your fries were undercooked. We are sorry you don't care for the verde sauce. We are sorry you didn't get ranch dressing, salsa or ketchup you asked for. We are sorry we left off your sour cream. We are sorry we thought you got beans with enchiladas with green sauce when it's really just with enchiladas with red sauce. We are sorry two of your meals came out 20 minutes after everyone else was done. We are sorry we messed up your bill badly. We are sorry you waited ten minutes while we tried to fix it. We are so sorry that we'll take off the $2.75 for the refried beans you were not told cost extra. Nope. That didn't happen. They will not last if this keeps up! read more

Waited two hours for our food. ! Asked to speak to a manger and was told they would come to the table when they were able! Granted they were very busy but waiting for two hours for your food is totally ridiculous ! We have been here before and it was a pleasure! This time the management was total unprepared for the holiday and just blew it, seems they were caught flat footed for no reason. The manager a young man who didn't seem to have a clue how to manage a hamster farm was way above his head and skill level! No excuse for this happening! I am outraged at this situation and I pledge never to return. Upper Management / Ownership needs to removed and replaced this untrained and unskilled young man or train him, giving him the skills to manage a restaurant that runs in the weeds once a year as admitted by the young manager. Saying " this is the busiest day of every year at all Mexican restaurants" and they run behind by one hour for food orders allegedly! It was Poor judgement on the management's part not to have planed and prepared for a very busy holiday!!!! I would think twice before choosing this decaying establishment. read more

We always go out for Mexican as tradition after a weightlifting meet so we had to find one near our venue site. I read reviews here and decided to try this one. The service was very good. We were greeted and sat immediately. Chips & salsa also served immediately. Salsa was very good- "restaurant style" (thin but chunky too with fresh chopped onions and cilantro) and just enough heat but not necessarily spicy. Our waitress was Dora (or at least that's what she said they call her). She was very sweet and took great care of our table. Don't skip the carne asada fries- OMG! Everyone else's food was delicious too. My only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was bc I felt the margarita game could be stepped up. There was a spot on the menu to choose your flavor and rocks or frozen but that was it. Just think they could have a more "specialty" list of margarita offerings. Overall great experience and would definitely return if in the area for another competition. Locals to the area should certainly give it a try. read more
