Stopped by Las Mañanitas for a late breakfast and it definitely hit the spot. It was busy when we arrived, but there was still plenty of seating. The place is tucked inside what looks like an old brick warehouse that's been turned into a kind of food court with other small restaurants--really cool vibe. I ordered the Chilaquiles Deluxe with half red and half green sauce, spicy, and added chorizo. Also grabbed a coffee and some orange juice. The OJ was fresh and super tasty--definitely not the boxed kind. The coffee is café de olla by default (which means it's sweet), but I asked for just the coffee with cinnamon and it was really good. What really stood out was the service. The guy who took my order was super friendly and helpful, answered all my questions without rushing me. And the woman who brought the food out checked to see if I needed more coffee or anything else, which I appreciated. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring the food out to your table. Portions were generous, and they nailed my over-easy egg. Both the red and green sauces were flavorful, and "spicy" here actually means spicy--in the best way. All around, a great meal with great service. My husband is obsessed with their chilaquiles. They are flavorful and loaded with meat. He always stops by this place when he can. I joined him for some breakfast. I had their pancakes and eggs and bacon. Bacon was a bit too crispy and the pancakes were very thick, but tasty. We love this location but sad to see that some of the other eateries nearby have been closed. Lovely seating area and clean. There were a few to go orders. I've been their on a weekday where it was super quiet and not busy, which is a shame. We hope they get more business because it is worth a try. read more

How sad is it that I have lived walking distance from this place since before they even opened, and this was my first visit? Like, I've been hearing about Las Mananitas pre-covid when they made the news because people were traveling from around the state to eat at the original location. The hours of operation were definitely played a role in it though. M-f I'm pretty much at work when they are open. Sure there's always the weekend, but with cost going up, we typically each out once a week these days. But I kid you not, 2 weeks ago, I've had friends namedrop Las Mananitas and their chilequiles within days of each other. And with the new year, the possibility of stopping in on Sundays just opened up for us. So yeah, my son and I walked over while 8 more made their way from where they were. We just ate at South of Shaw, and the whole, seat yourself, come to the register deal is ringing in my head. Rather than get our order started and be potentially eating by the time everyone arrives, we secure a table a wait. As we do so, it becomes apparent, this isn't a restaurant, it's a food court. There's just only one restaurant at the moment. And thank goodness, because there was not a single table available the entire time we were there. We look at the menu and chilequiles is on everyone's tongue. I have no interest on being like everyone else, so I settle on the shrimp taco with 2 street tacos on the side for good measure. Rather than make us all order at the register, they were gracious enough to take our order at the table. Son gets huevos rancheros, daughter gets Valiente omelet, wife splits chilaquiles to split with youngest. They others get pancakes, enchiladas, tacos, etc. As we wait, we feast on the chips and salsa. The chips are very good. Thicker then typical tortilla chips. The salsa is good, not too spicy. My kids make quick work of their horchata. Eventually, my impatient daughter becomes impatient. The funny thing is, she is one of the last to get her food. That honor belonged to me. Nevertheless, the food arrives for everyone. My street tacos look great. One asada, the other chile verde. The chile verde was a mistake. Not because it wasn't good, but because it ruined all 3 tacos. The juice from it made all the tortillas too weak to hold everything together, even though the tacos were served on 2 tortillas. As we ate, my brother-in-law kept talking about how good the coffee was. Bring a fellow coffee addict, I was intrigued and ordered my own. With only creamer added, it was so good. Not overly sweet, just enough. Good flavor. I continued with my tacos. It turns out, 3 street tacos would have probably sufficed, but now I have leftovers. The shrimp taco is huge for a taco. I believe 2 of them will absolutely stuff you. A bit spicy for my taste but still very good. My oldest loved his huevos rancheros and had food leftover for dinner. My daughter complained about all the peppers and onion in her Valiente omelet. Not a whole lot of ham and bacon as she hoped there would be. My youngest didn't like his chilaquiles. I suspect because my wife ordered the red sauce and not the green sauce. The chips used were the same as the complimentary ones at the table. I'm definitely getting them next time. When I make them, I make sure the chips are nice and crispy. I learned something today. Jamaica and jamaica are spelled the same. One the country, the other a hibiscus tea drink. I can't believe all it took was a capital letter to confuse me. All in all, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Not that I had to pay since my in-laws treated. Now comes the bad. The first 2 are negligible. Both to do with drinks. One, I told my son he wasn't getting any juice. He still got it. The other, my kids ordered 2 horchata, but only got 1. The major thing came with the bill. We didn't know they were going to add the tip to our bill. What ended up happening then was a $51 tip because we double payed. After a bit of back and forth at the table, we went to the front to sort it out. They were gracious enough to give the money back and we tipped in cash at the table. Overall, had a wonderful time. Great food. Large groups will need someone to arrive early to secure a table. Can't wait for other restaurants to open in the food court now read more

The food is always good quality leaving you satisfied after every visit. I always get the French toast and it is phenomenal. The cafe de olla is to die for and makes me miss my Tias food in Michoacán. My boyfriend got the huevos rancheros and he personally thinks they are the best in Fresno! read more

One of the best Mexican breakfast spots around here!! What a hidden gem, you would never suspect this place in the area that it is in. It is part of a food court inside a warehouse facing R street. Upon entering, you are greeted with a bright, spacious interior with light woods and exposed brick. You go up to the register to place an order and pay. It is extremely welcoming, and this is hightened by the workers' hospitality. These people are extremely friendly and love to chat. They are quick to answer any questions or tend to any request. Their food tastes homemade with love. I've had other dishes here, but you have to have to HAVE TO get the chilaquiles deluxe. Order it with any meat of your choice, but I suggest chili verde or chorizo. Ask for both green and red sauce and you have an incredibly complex plate of flavors. This dish is loaded with meat, homemade chips, eggs, beans, and sauce. It is so so good and I can not recommend it enough. I say all of this and I am not even a morning person. This is a new location and it's bigger and nicer! Food was delicious and on point for my taste. We order chilaquiles plate, Chile verde burrito, chicken quesadilla and sopes plate. The chilaquiles were spicy which I loved. The eggs were a little over cooked but beans were good. The green Chile burrito had cabbage which through the taste out! I had never had it with cabbage. The chicken quesadilla was good. The sopes had salsa in them I don't know if the meat was cooked with the salsa but it look like it. My daughter didn't like them because of that. But, it got BETTER with the spectacular new location in the warehouse a couple building down from the Bitwise building. There's so much space now, the layout, design is a dream of efficiency, beauty and practicality.... The counter is large and long and they've got room to work! Let NOTHING hinder their hands!! lol The various seating options range from large family and friends tables to LARGE booths to smaller more intimate areas that are spread over a wide long area.... NO concerns about Covid or folks nosing in on your conversation. Don't need a sneeze shield or, thankfully, earplugs! I also noticed a lot of outlets for plugging in a device... But 'no camping' please! This LONG space is shared by a few places with more coming.... there's even a huge outdoor space. It's covered with tons of tables and chairs. It's a dream come true for the business who have worked so hard! I KNOW they're going to do well here and I can totally imagine this being the new 'foodie mecca' for awesome dinning and fantastic food options. Parking was ample on both sides of the building and even the approach offers some beautiful views of downtown that can NOT be seen elsewhere. As always, the staff does an exceptional job of putting quality food out with excellent service beyond what you might get elsewhere. Even the music is SOFT as it should be. The restaurant space as well as the food court area seems very clean. The food court is still under construction and you might hear some machine work while you enjoy your meal. There is also a water bottle refilling station near the restroom. The menu is easy to read and you are not overwhelmed. The downside is that there is only one menu and no images are provided to give you an idea of what you are ordering. Deluxe Red Chilaquiles, medium spice with Asada: 9/10 The chilaquiles plate is very generous with the amount of food you get. The carne asada is well seasoned and no fatty pieces that no one likes to get. The eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The beans were also well seasoned and tasty. The red sauce for the chilaquiles was flavorful and not overwhelming spicy. Everything on tue dish was well balanced and you enjoyed every bite. The price for the chilaquiles might seem a bit much for some. But for me I think it's fair for the amount and quality of the food you are getting. You will definitely be stuff if you eat all your food lol. Final Thoughts: 9/10 Las Mananitas is a Mexican restaurant that serves amazing, flavorful, authentic and well portion dishes. Crossing my fingers they make it through the previous management's mismanagement because we all deserve Las Mananitas in our lives. The only disappointment with this location is they don't have their delicious menudo. At the og location, I *always* order menudo so that's huge to me lol. A few friends get together every month for brunch. We came here twice in the last few months. My first visit I forgot to ask for no serrano peppers and my dish was too hot. I ate it though! Also, the coffee, which they pre sweeten and is normally really good to me, was way too sweet. I couldn't drink it. My second visit, I went with the cucumber agua which is always delicious and refreshing. It comes with a refill. My friends loved their meals both times. Oh.my.goodness! Fresno has its share of yummy Mexican restaurants but I have struggled to find a classic Mexican dish done well that did not involve tacos. Well my quest is over...Las Mananitas nailed it! My favorite Mexican dish is chilaquiles and I almost cried over how tasty the chilaquiles were at Las Mananitas (yes good food is worth crying over!) They are traditionally served with an egg but not a fan of that so I ordered scrambled eggs on the side with their red chilaquiles. The second time I went, I ordered the green chilaquiles and after expressing that I'm not really a fan of eggs, I was offered the replacement of potatoes and so glad I took the server up on that offer! Both the red and green chilaquiles are done perfectly with just the right amount of sauce that still allows for a crunch in the fried tortilla. And then there were the beans..I will knock 2 stars off a Mexican restaurant that cannot make descent beans because if you fail at that are you even Mexican?? Well, Las Mananitas is definitely authentic Mexican cuisine...Creamy and flavor full just the way beans should be. My husband had the mom's special and was very pleased with his dish. I did notice the the flour tortilla that came with my husband's dish became a bit hard as it cooled off...not sure what that was about. Service was very friendly and helpful. I've been twice to their R street location and both times the server was attentive and quick to provide free coffee refills. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful building. I never would have seen this place if it weren't for Yelp! This is located inside a warehouse with other small eateries inside. At the time, this shop was the only one open on a Saturday morning. The inside was clean, spacious, and inviting. We went to the counter to order el diablito to omelette with medium salsa and chorizo as well as a chilaquiles deluxe with hot salsa. The portions were great and the customer service was up to par as well. The diablito omelette came with the omelette, chilaquiles, beans, and potatoes. One of my only qualms is that the potatoes could have been cooked longer to get soft but the flavor was there.
