So I went here last week as I was visiting family and they have been there before and after teasing me through face time with the queso I was someone please take me to this place. So we decided to go. Guys the queso is literally 10/10 it's nice and creamy and it pairs well with the chips. The salsa was so fresh and with the queso it's like a flavor party in my mouth . I tried the chicken and shrimp fajita it was so freaking good. The chicken was tender and veggies nice and grilled . The only issue I had was they forget the tortillas but it's okay . I also ordered my niece a kids cheese quesadillas and I tried some and it's really good as well. The server was super nice and informative . The ambiance is standard but we got it to go . Usually this place is so good + salsa is always a winner. When we don't have time to eat in we have often gotten food to go or even chips + salsa to go. Unfortunately today the salsa is not good- I don't know if they changed the recipe or messed up but there is no flavor + it's straight tomato sauce I use in spaghetti. I wrote a review that was glowing, adding , tho, that the last time my husb & I dined here, my chicken soup was room temp. It happened just once. Now, I pre-paid lunch take-out for my daughter & myself. I said I'd update our experience. We both ordered the chicken soup, & also guacamole. To this minute, the site says they'll text me when it's ready, & that they're working on it! My daughter went to pick it up anyway, & came straight home. The soup was, again, room temp. I had to re-warm both. It did make me wonder if they had a habit of leaving the soup out! Both times, in-restaurant & take-out, the soup wasn't even lukewarm-warm. Most concerning is food safety. The guacamole was a shocking color. No lime juice was used to protect the color. No green was visible. There were no onions or other usual guac. additions. Worse, again, was food-safety concerns: I dipped a chip into it & spat it out immediately! It tasted of rancid mayo AND avocados! Sorry to say, they've lost us as customers. Having one off day is one thing, but cold soup is something no other Mexican restaurant has ever served us, in 20 yrs. in 4 different states! Serving it cold twice is a huge red flag, espec with rancid guac. Their restaurant cooks should be way more mindful of food safety & what constitutes spoiled & expired foods before they lose the few loyal customers they have. read more

Why we continue to go here and how it stays open is the question...? It's close, but it's terrible. I have never not been in the past two years where I don't have to ask for flatware...literally have to wait after my food is placed and go find it for myself. The food is ok at best, but top notch pricing. These were the chicken chimichangas (see pic) - I left after I finally got flatware and took a few bites. 6 of us decided to give it a try on a Sunday evening at 6pm This is in the neighborhood, and we wanted to support our local business, but unfortunately, things did not go well. * The first plate came out. 5 minutes later the second person was served. The last person's food arrived 20 minutes into the service...two had already finished their meals * I had to leave the table to request water refills twice. * We ordered drinks - and they also came to the table over the course of 15 minutes timeframe. I rarely drink, and one is enough for me ( I can feel it) - so I can confidently say there was less than a half shot of alcohol content in my drink. * All the above was occurring while the wait staff was herded together chatting. This was easy because there were maybe around 3 other tables with people in the restaurant. There was absolutely no urgency to help customers. Also the manager (woman) was clueless and useless. As much as I wanted this to be a great place - not one of us would return here. There are too many other great places to go where service is great, and paying customers are valued. read more

I walk in, sit at the bar, and order a margarita and two hardshell beef tacos; the bartender brings me the margarita tacos to arrive momentarily. I eat the two tacos. While eating, another gentleman walked up and started talking to the bartender. I ask the other gentleman are you the manager? I asked the other gentleman are you the manager? He said, no, you're barter is, I told him this was crappy service. He thought I meant good service, and I told him this was crappy service or even terrible. Horrible service went in on a Saturday afternoon there was only 3 other tables in there so not busy at all I sat there for 10 minutes and no one came to take my drink order. There were 4 servers just standing around I asked one of them if I could get a water and she just looked at me after 5 more minutes no one had come by so I just got up a left. When Las Margaritas first opened the service and food were outstanding.. our family went on a Thursday night and food and service were terrible. Our food was cold and we practically had to wave down our waitress when we wanted drinks, more salsa, and our check. We thought maybe it was just an off night for them so we went back 2 weeks after on a Tuesday afternoon. Again, our food was terrible and the service was even worse. About 6 employees just sitting at a table hanging out, not waiting their tables. We couldn't get refills. We decided then, we won't be back. Where do i start first off had to wait for 45 min for a table when the restaurant was half empty. the hostess was rude did not have any hurry to check on us while we were waiting or apologize for the wait. The cheese dip came out cold the food had no real flavor and was soggy. Wait staff really took a long time to check on us. My sister and wife said the bathroom was dirty and had a string as a flush handle. We have visited this restaurant two times in the last six months. The first time we age there, we felt the prices were too high. Last week we had family from out of town and took them there and were astonished (really PO'd) with the prices of the food and beverages. WE WILL NOT EAT HERE AGAIN. A draught beer, 16 Ounce, was $6.00! That is absurd. I tried to speak with the owner who was working behind the bar and one of the waiters could tell I was not happy with our bill, and he got between us and with no conversation offered a free beverage. We had a modest meal, cheese dip and beverages and the bill was over 90.00. To compare and be fair, last night we ate at a Mexican restaurant in Athens, Ga., eating a very similar menu, and the bill was 33.00. Just a warning to other diners, these prices at this restaurant are WAY TOO HIGH. I would like to do the math, one can buy a keg and get 124, 16 Ounce glasses for a total earning at their price of $744.00, and the 15-gallon keg costs $179,00 for a profit of $565.00 - that is gouging the public. It is time we consumers started going to places that do not take advantage of our hard-earned money. Oh, and by the way a cheese dip was 10.00, last night we had the same for 6.50. SOMEONE'S POCKETS ARE BEING LINED, AND IT WILL NOT BE WITH MY MONEY THERE ANYMORE. I also am telling all my family and friends about this experience and hope it makes a difference. I am sure one reason for their crazy prices is because they are located outside the neighborhood of Traditions and a short drive from Chateau Elan. Wake up folks. This is our first & last experience with this restaurant. When we arrived we were told there would be no wait. Once they found out we were a party of 8, we were told it would be 30-45 mins of a wait. While waiting, 2 parties of 6 and several other parties of 2 & 4 came and were seated immediately. About 25-30 mins into our wait, we overheard the hostess ask about where they were going to seat us and stated how long we had been waiting to another person who apparently had no idea. When they told us our table was ready, we were seated at two tables that had been empty since before we arrived. After ordering an appetizer, I went to the bathroom to find that the big stall toilet had no flush lever. Instead, it had a long wet string going through the toilet hole tank and into the toilet bowl water to use as a "flusher". After washing my hands, there was no paper towels nor hand dryer. Once seated at the table again, the cheese dip arrived, only it was cold - not even warm. I ordered the chorizo sopes which to my dismay did not look like it did in the menu at all. It was completely soaked under a tower of veggies and sauce. I could not even pick up the sope as one would do traditionally and honestly I still couldn't bring back an appetite thinking of that wet string - yuck! Only positive is that the waiter was nice and we were asked many times if everything was okay, but the overall experience was bad before we were even seated which pretty much was up to par with the meals. I cannot find any good reason for which I would want to come back. Oh and if the owner/management is reading this, please buy the $10 lever for the toilet for Pete's sake! read more
