The Rochester Seniors enjoying lunch after a fun walk!
    Kathy H.

The Rochester Recreation Senior Activity Center Walking Club was at Mousam Way Trail in Springvale. The Sanford High School Seniors were enjoying field day and then a catered lunch by Las Olas Taqueria. After the Rochester Walking Club finished their walk, Las Olas Taqueria and the H.S. Seniors offered to let us join them for lunch. What an unexpected and delightful gesture! Food was delicious and we loved talking to the H.S. Seniors about their future plans. What an amazing day! Thank you, Las Olas Taqueria for including us!

Decent Mexican restaurant in wells. You order at the front chipotle style. The food was just okay though. They didn't have chicken while I was there so I got steak. It tasted more like ground beef. The service was friendly but slow for not being that busy. I think they are pretty good but have some stuff to figure out!

Online ordered the chicken burrito bowl. It was missing some ingredients, but the flavors and quality of the bowl was great. Service was very friendly! Quiet vibe and many tables to sit at.

Hidden gem .... Great flavors and value. Bang for your buck. Recommend 10/10. Good service

Ancho beef quesadilla with added sweet potato.

First timer ordered through the online website. Quiet inside, only one customer seated at 4pm on a rainy Saturday. Got the ancho beef quesadilla picked up on time, ready to go. RESULTS- A meal winner, you know the food tastes good when your 5 bites in and don't yet reach for the sided sour cream or salsa you had asked for. Yummy white rice, tortilla was crispy on outside and warm in the middle. Tried the added sweet potato, it was such a treat! My wish is to add some basic sliced black olives to your menu? Is it possible to get DoorDash or Uber Eats to deliver next time? I will be ordering again soon, thank you Las Olas Taqueria in Wells, Maine!

Las Olas provided a vital service to the Wells/Kennebunk area. There are no comparable restaurants around and I've found Las Olas to be a very reliable "fast food" location that I can go to for excellent takeout. It's not the most beautiful presentation, but honestly it's the taste that matters the most, which Las Olas excels at. I love their spice/flavor profile of their food (noticeable difference and IMO better than similar comparisons like Chipotle or Annas Taqueria). Again, it's a 4.5 star in the context of Wells Maine, but incredibly reliable and my go-to place for quick Chipotle-style Mexican food in the area. *Tastes much better than it looks, and it already looks pretty decent*

Okay here's the deal... price is reasonable. Food is good, but unpredictable staff. I would say the staff is a mix of chill people, woke generation, with a Karen mixed in here and there... basically a company shift nazi, but on occasion 50% of time you have a shift supervisor that is cool. No thrills customer service is accurate. Definitely not going to get a "my pleasure". Some staff (particularly the blond shift supervisor from tonight) act like the customer should be thankful that they prepared the order. I gave her my name as Phil... and she said "we have a Philip (not a Phil)" like I should be more accurate with her (we use full names here as they appear on CC slips). Of course when my order was ready, she made sure to say "Philip" versus the name / pronunciation I gave her. Either way, I have some special requests due to allergies and it was clear that these requests made their life more difficult and held up their normal burrito production skills, as apposed to serving people with grace and thankfulness. Whatever, I get it. They have the only fast casual mexican place, can do what they want, and tell me to go pound the sand on Wells beach if they want. That's actually kind of cool... they got the wraps on burrito demand. Sometimes you get good portions, other times you get the (it's only 3oz of chicken! Person). Food was bland tonight, pretty sure they missed the salsa and lime. Don't order online.... Otherwise expect inconsistency. Wasn't even busy tonight. Regardless, the establishment is a needed pillar of the community and representation of the times we live in. With that being said... they could actually make a big impact on the community by creating a vision and mission surrounding customer/guest service. Pay your people a little more and reward them for caring... or just keep raking in the cash and turning over staff... it works so why change. I left with no thank you and it was clear the shift supervisor was stressed... no problem... if you had just said, "sir, sorry been a stressful night." I would have replied with, "no problem guys, take your time... Im Phil... here's twenty bucks." I actually don't blame anyone for being annoyed with my high maintenance request... but I do always tip. I actually was contemplating dripping more cash in the tip jar, but after the snarky "we have a Philip (not a Phil)" I was like "pffff okay."

Basic mex burrito place, and usual bowl/salad alternates. Base ingredients seemed normal quality. Pricing good compared to nearby choices.

My partner and I visited twice during our 3-day trip to Kennebunkport and we even tried for a third visit on our way home! Sadly, it wasn't open for lunch that day, but that just means we'll be back next time we're in town. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was fun yet relaxed. The restaurant is filled with religious statues and mementos that give it a unique, eclectic atmosphere - cool, fun, and totally unforgettable. We sat at the bar both nights and ended up closing it down, chatting with every bartender like we were longtime friends. Each one was warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. Meeting the owner, Norm, was a highlight. He's the kind of person who makes you feel like you're part of the Pedro's family. His passion for the place is obvious, and it shows in every detail, from the decor to the drinks to the incredible food. If you're visiting Kennebunkport, Pedro's is an absolute must. We'll be back next time we're in town and will probably be sitting at the bar again until last call.

We even ordered some drinks to go and cake! The food was also super delicious, but I do wish my tuna bowl had a bit more flavor. I got bored with it after a bit. However, everything else was amazing. It was a busy Sunday night, the restaurant was pretty full, but we were seated right away. We had a hard time deciding, but didn't want anything too heavy. I opted for tacos. Our server said 2 was the sweet spot, so that's what I ordered. One fish and one shrimp. She gave us a pro-tip, order the guacamole side, as it was a very generous portion (and she convinced hubs to get the side of chips with his meal - well played). My tacos were underwhelming. I ordered them street taco style, and they were minimal at best. My BFF ordered the beef & shrimp, and I missed out on the picked onions & other fillings. Hubs ordered a salad bowl, and the portion was generous, very filling, he only ate half. The side of chips helped us devour our sides of guacamole. The guac was good, but could have used more kick and a bit of salt (which was not on the table, and we didn't bother asking for). We enjoyed our meal and the laid-back casual atmosphere. We'd visit again if ever in the area, and we do hope to come back, as we fell in love with Ogunquit.
