We met with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. They were happy to accommodate and seated us quickly. Seating is not crowded and comfortable. They had a margarita flight special going on so we had to try it out. It was disappointing . The mixes are overpowering and cannot taste the tequila. It was super sweet and I ordered an additional shot to balance it out. Whoever was at the bar needs to practice. Food overall was just ok. Portions are appropriate. Our first experience was take out and this is the first time dining in. Lastly the bathrooms are freezing, I was surprised that the toilet water was not frozen. After a couple of try's I do not think I'll be returning, which is unfortunate as it's pretty local. read more

Absolutely the best Mexican food in Waterboro! I've been to plenty Mexican restaurants in Maine and I have to say, they usually fall short of my hopes but this place is really good. I had the Birria tacos; they were great (if a little pricey). Service was great, I went on a Monday when most local restaurants are closed. Drinks were good, though (as mentioned here) the prices were not on the menu. Ambiance was very nice, very much what you might expect in any serious Mexican place. Don't listen to the 1 & 2 star haters... try this place, you will enjoy. read more

The staff were surprised at our group size of 12, they were not busy. There is a bit of a language barrier when making requests. We were excited for the margarita flights, however when ordering there was confusion. Many of us ended up with the wrong flavors. Also the drinks were very sweet, like too much mix. The food looked fresh but underwhelming. The physical tables and walls are beautifully painted and themed. The music is very loud but plays Mexican themed music. Im always weary when Mexican is concerned and I think most people know why. Bathroom trips! Lol but not a worry here. We stopped in and had one app, 3 entrees and 3 desserts and our bill was 75$. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was top notch, even if there was a slight language barrier! The only thing that was off was how long it took to run our card. She disappeared for a good 10 mins with our credit card. Other than that, the trip was wonderful. Good food and good service and the ambiance was truly colorful and authentic. Second time there in 2 months and the food was DELICIOUS!!! I'm a Mexican food lover and this is one the best that I've ever had. I had the Taste of Mexico the first time (so much food) and this last time the El Jefe Burrito which was AMAZING. Service was quick and delivery of food was under a 15 min wait. Well worth driving up from Berwick. Will definitely be back!! Oh, and the guac....what can I say? It was PERFECT!! They're using some kind of cleaner that has the restaurant smelling like an urinal cake, but it's not fair for me to say because I came around 3:00. The food is more like high school cafeteria Mexican food, it isn't very good, and that sucks, because I like the people so much that I want to ignore that there is no flavor or complexity to the food. I went on their opening night and despite the chaos of also being short staffed, I have to agree with the guy leaving as I went in who said it was worth the wait; as they had no hostess, it took a while to be seated. I ordered a Margarona (a margarita with a Corona in it) and the Shrimp Fajitas while my friend had the Carne Asada with a beer and both meals were excellent. There were a good amount of shrimp in my meal and enough to need a doggie bag. The decor is very fun as well with murals and matching painted benches. The Prices are very reasonable! Between our meals and drinks it came out to just over 60 dollars; so while they have just opened and there may be winkles please bear with them, the food is definitely worth it! read more

A nice refreshing Mexican restaurant to make it's way to Waterboro. The restaurant is pretty large with a full bar which has seats as well, and a nice atmosphere. I used to like it here. They had a great bartender who spoke English and made excellent drinks. Then she was no longer there and there's no one that speaks proper English. They pretty much got most of our order wrong. The margarita was incredibly sweet and tasted terrible. I couldn't drink it. The food was pretty cold when we finally got it and it wasn't very good. Love the food & service but would suggest putting your prices on the drink menu. Had a cocotina withOUT the pineapple and cost me $21, just a little steep!! Drinks should not be that pricey or a shock to your bill. Also nachos need more NACHOS had plenty of cheese and chicken could downsize those. read more

What can I say? Everything was perfect - from arrival to departure. We came in and even though there were tons of cars, the place is big so we were seated right away. The cops and salsa appeared in the table within a minute and we were ordering drinks in the first 3 minutes. They arrived quickly, we kind of knew what we wanted - we were both dreaming of fajitas all day, we got 2 sets of classic fajitas - chicken & steak. They have other combos, and also a great fajitas for 2 that includes different items like chorizo and carnitas. The margaritas were yummy, the salsa was really good, then the gigantic heaping piles of fajitas showed up. The prom sizes are huge. It drained really well, was delicious, and they inside all the sides you need - the tortillas obv, lettuce, pico, guac, sour cream, rice and refried beans, which were really smooth and tasted good. The service was great, he read right on top of everything. The ambience was of a family restaurant, lots of kids, but not overly loud. The decorations are nice, I really like the tables. We couldn't even eat half so this dinner is going to be lunch and maybe even dinner again tomorrow. Even though we couldn't eat it all, we couldn't pass on dessert. Worst service I've ever experienced. We ordered fajitas that comes with rice beans cheese lettuce etc... guy came out 45 minutes after we ordered with a piling thing of fajitas and was like enjoy. No drink refills, no tortillas, no rice and beans, just a tray of meat. Looked at me with a blank stare when I asked for refills of our waters and where the rest of our meal was.... Took forever to get just partial of what we ordered. When we were done with our meal we had to walk to the front to get a check because no one would help us. The server was there and had no idea what we ordered and had to go to our table to look at the plates. On top of that found several hairs in the fajita meat. Overall the food was bland, salsa tasted like ketchup. Fajitas were very bland. The table behind us and beside us had left because no one came to serve them. First the good- nice atmosphere. Now for the not so good. Our waitress had an extremely hard time understanding and even speaking basic English. She NEVER smiled. My granddaughter's soda had floaters in it and also an ant! My water had floaters in it and tasted of chlorine. Food was good but extremely salty. Tacos came without cheese, and without sour cream. Had to ask someone else for our bill. And yes we still got charged for those drinks. This family will not be going there again. I'm really sad because I really wanted this restaurant to succeed. We need it in this town. I sure hope the owners are listening. read more

Long wait times, no service, food was awful. I could probably could get better food from Taco Bell, the food had 0 flavor and looked like it was thrown together last minute. Music was too loud, I couldn't hear the person next to me. If you like to drink and enjoy listening to LMFAO - Shots at full volume then this is the place for you.
