    Happy hour margaritas!
    Melody L.

This place is a gem! Family owned, salsa made fresh, as well as the margaritas and sangria. Wilson deserves a quality local restaurant and it has it with Las Piñatas. We are so lucky!

Such a great spot! The new outdoor seating is a wonderful addition. The food was delicious, and the service was absolutely spectacular. The restaurant itself feels cozy and festive--an all-around great spot.

Really kind staff, clean space, good music! The homemade salsas and handmade tortilla on the quesadilla were all so good and authentic.

Las Piñatas recently opened its doors just a stone's throw from our front door and on one cold evening, we peered into a fridge in need of groceries and decided to check this place out for dinner. Our family walked over, we were immediately greeted and sat, and received excellent and well-timed service from start to finish. The ambiance was bright and inviting. But now for what you're here for - the food. I can confirm it was delicious! We were given complimentary chips and salsa - which were great. We then started with taquitos (highly recommend) and guacamole. My husband ordered a steak torta and I ordered carne asada tacos with onion and cilantro. Everything was delicious and we have since ordered take out twice (I can neither confirm nor deny it was two nights in a row) and ordered their chicken, pork, and carne asada burritos (VERY good). Welcome to the neighborhood and see you soon!

The food was actually (surprisingly bc I'm a cynical mexican) very good! I kinda wish the quesadilla had a dinner option but it's a house made flour tortilla and it's very nice! Very thick and subtle / not overwhelming. The salsas lovely (not too spicy) and the verde salsa is great. The songs played were perfectly authentic to what I as a Mexican would play in a restaurant lol The decor is also nice and matches the name (piñata sculptures) The horchata was nice & the Jamaica was great! Not too sweet although I'd like more cinnamon in the horchata :) The service was quick and he was very kind! The check out process was a little confusing although I think he just misunderstood what I was asking I think that it's prices are comparable to other Mexican restaurants in the area ($6 for an asada taco unfortunately) but I'm sure it's good tacos I need to go back for them I wish there was more cheese in the asada quesadilla but it was sooooooo yummy over all. Very much recommend coming here ! (I don't think they serve alcohol yet, might be waiting for a license or something but once they do I'm sure it'll be a good brunch spot! Oh! Add some brunch stuff? Anyway. Great job can't wait to support this business!)

Cinco de Mayo at Barrio was EVERYTHINGGG…read more We fully committed to the holiday and ordered honestly the entire menu and somehow every single thing that came out was better than the last. Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. The service was also AMAZING from start to finish and made the entire experience even better. One of those dinners where you leave already talking about when you're coming back If you're looking for the place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, date night, tacos & margaritas, or honestly just an incredible dinner in general... this is IT

Appetizers were quac and chips, and shrimp ceviche. The guac was really good, but the ceviche was the star. Served on a bed of cucumbers, it was visually beautiful, and the flavor was fresh and complex. There was also a LOT of it. We ended up taking some home. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates. Finally, the service--the servers are attentive without hovering. If we needed something, they were there, but never intrusive. It is hard to believe this is a little neighborhood spot, given the service and the quality of the food. It was not too busy tonight--we ate early--but I recommend reservations. It is very popular with the neighborhood. Bottom line, we each had 2 margaritas, appetizers, and entrees, and our bills with tip were around $105.00 each--totally worth it! Try this little gem--you won't regret it.

We started off with chips and salsa, and the salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but everyone else enjoyed it. We started with the Chicken Poblano - a savory dish with creamy poblano sauce mixed with chicken and sliced poblano peppers topped with corn. We all enjoyed it. Most of the reviews recommended the enchiladas and we ordered a variety of them. The Enchiladas Poblanos stuffed with chicken and cheese. The poblano sauce was rich and smoky. We also had the Enchiladas Morita. They were filled with shrimp and cheese. It was so flavorful and the morita chile added so much flavor. Each dish was served with a side jicama salad. Their special was a shrimp pasta with lobster. It came with full lobster tail. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. It is also BYOB, which is a nice option. Service was excellent, friendly offered recommendations. This is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and highly recommend.

It was a hot, humid day, but apparently it was warmer inside than on their sidewalk seating, so we dined outside. My wife ordered the Vegetarian Torta ($13.75) and I chose the Shrimp Torta ($14.50). They were each quite large and filling. My shrimp torta was good, but a little one note. The vegetarian torta was an awesome combination of flavors and I would order it again in a heartbeat. Only real negatives were that they did not offer any draft beer options and the Chips y Salsa ($3.75) had a meager quantity of chips to eat their tasty and generous tomatillo and 3-chile salsa options. Would actually go 4.5 stars based on those 2 factors, but gave the benefit of the extra half star due to how good our service was and the excellent flavor of the veggie sandwich.
