Came here today for lunch with family waitresses was extremely nice however I feel like maybe they should have more then one waitress on Sunday to serve the whole areas as the service was extremely slow! Food was good but we did not get chips and salsa while eating for our food like most Mexican restaurants you go to and we waited a good 45 mins for our food which is okay but at least could've brought some chips and salsa while waiting. They also will not split a check in two if you have a group of five which is a little crazy with this day and age and especially being it is not a high end restaurant.

This place doesn't get the love it deserves. All the times I've come here, it's been very good. Their breakfast is outstanding and I think even better than some of the local spots close by. Service is always friendly, and meals come out on time. I don't have any negative things to say about this place.

Honest breakfast review: Atmosphere as good as the food. 5/5 with a 4.5 for the dish below. Read for more details: From the minute you're walking in you're welcomed and you're thanked for coming in, we got our booth and had a high chair brought to us. We were greeted by our waitress and another person in the staff to make sure we were checked in for drinks and had follow up after we got our dish. Service was great as we watched the Sunday morning basketball game. -Chilaquiles verde w/Carne Asada: 4.5/5 Appearances can always be deceiving as it was with the amount of Carne Asada that this plate had, however, as savory as it was... that may be why you get the bit you do. The green salsa had a spicy citrusy touch that was very pleasing on an acidity ratio that didn't over take the experience. It wasn't spicy by any means (for me), but had that kick you look for in a green chile and Instead of carnitas, I chose steak so the flavor profile worked, with the egg, and the potatoes you got a good combination of Mexican flavors mixed with American touches. It was a savory meal that made for a delicious breakfast and for the cost, definitely a cost to flavor ratio I can approve of! I would have given this a 5/5 had it had more carne asada through the meal. The egg covered up a good amount of the chips, but needed some more asada. Other than that, I'd give this a great place to eat score.

When we walked in and got seated right away, this place is a nice little Mexican restaurant located in Sparks right off of Sparks boulevard. It was fast and friendly service. They also serve fresh chips and salsa. We ordered our meal. I had the ceviche shrimp it was so fresh and delicious. I made it with some chips. Very feeling my friend ordered taquitos. They served it with fresh guacamole and sour cream. I tasted one and they are very delicious too. Nice little place to come for some nice Mexican food. Great service

So we stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning. We had a group of 10 people. We waited until 8:15 in the cold. It's too bad that the restaurant didn't bother to open on time so we left! IMO... not opening on time based on posted hours is an epic failure!!

Stopped by for Brunch last weekend. Food was great. Service started slowly, but picked up as we continued. Large dining room in the back would be great for big parties. The server said the original owners retired and their kids took it over. So, I expect to see changes through time. Try the iced horchata latte!

Food was delicious. It was quiet for a Thursday night but was enjoyable to have our 2 year old with us. Not too loud but not dead. Would recommend 10/10

These things are definitely two-meal burritos - which is the whole goal of ordering a massive burrito. The meat in all options was tender and flavorful. My dad is a huge mexican food fan and was asking about specific options. The owner came over and was speaking to him and offered us a free plate of tacos with his newest meat creation! How could we say no?! I really hope he adds this to the menu because it was the most tender, juicy, saucy, flavorful shredded beef I have ever had. 10/10 on the taco scale. My dad even said that it's the best he has ever had and he has travelled all over Mexico! My father in law is also vegan and they were careful to offer him options that matched his medical dietary restrictions. The place is cute with an adorable bar stacked with all the tequilas you could ask for and included an amazing mix of handcrafted cocktails. The habanero margarita is my favorite. This place will definitely do well and welcome to the Reno scene!

Met with the owner Daniel who shared some of his experience with being a business owner in Sparks as well as the Mexican food market in the area. Service was quick for a to go order and it was hot!!! It was definitely table side ready when we got to our destination. This family owner business speaks loudly to the pride and cultural roots of Mexican food that you look for in the flavors, in the hospitality, and the time that it's taken to perfect recipes. -Barbacoa plate: 5/5 Ordered this to go which to no surprise was delicious in flavor. Wasn't too salty, or over seasoned. The braised beef was deliciously tender to the bite, as well as rich in sauce that wasn't too wet or thick. Pair with the rice and beans you have a delicious bite that's accompanied by the traditional tortilla. This meal provided for a savory bite that you can still taste after you're done eating. The rice and beans pairing it were very well done and rich in flavor and the cheese for the beans was perfect. The barbacoa had a taste that will make you appreciate the work and time that goes into braising the beef to give you that perfect bite of the strands that just melt in your mouth as you go for another bite. 5/5 I'll definitely have to stop in for a sit down meal as this experience was rich and just nice to have some home cooked tasting Mexican food in the heart of Sparks. Definitely reasonably priced for the level of food you're getting. Give Daniel and Macho Tequilas a chance to earn your business with their delicious food! They also give you sauces in small containers which is much more sanitary than the ones that sit out with a ladle. I came in early on a Tuesday and sadly a lot of the tacos meats we wanted to try, they ran out. They recently added outdoor seating with cement and tile tables/chairs but in the summer it's too hot. So I Highly recommend getting umbrellas or shade sails for people to enjoy it outside.
