Great new location in Sparks which was greatly anticipated as we love the Reno spot. Great brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour service . We had lunch today and were served by Tristan who was friendly and attentive checking on us several times but not rushing us. We enjoyed the sandwich and fish along with fries and crispy house made potato chips, very good with a ranch dip. Generous portions which I took home half my sandwich as usual! Looking forward to trying their happy hour soon!

We visited the new Land Ocean in Sparks on a Monday, June 29th, 2026, and what a pleasant surprise ! Our waitress, Nicole, couldn't have been nicer, as was the bartender, Madison. We've enjoyed the Lucious Burger at their South Reno location in the past, and the meal at this new Sparks location is just as delicious! The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, everything was served hot, and the cocktails were truly delicious. My wife, who rarely drinks alcoholic beverages, enjoyed her Raspberry Lemon Drop so much that she actually ordered a SECOND! The entire restaurant is clean, comfortable, fresh and cozy- the Platt family should be VERY proud of this extraordinary accomplishment. My wife said several times "we're coming back", and I couldn't agree more!

Wonderful food and even better service! Rowan (I apologize if I butchered your name) was wonderful and did a fantastic job tonight! Thank you for rocking your job! My little guy loved his Filet Mignon and our little girl enjoyed the kids wagyu burger! We had a lovely evening at Land Ocean tonight. Thank you for giving Spanish Springs a nicer place to dine. Beautiful restaurant.

This experience was everything!! I'm obsessed and can't wait to come back! The decor and aesthetic was so classy and sexy! Our service was excellent, friendly and super helpful! But the food was obviously the star! The blacked shrimp bowl was delicious, filling, and so light! My husband got the surf and turf and I had a bite... delicious! The coconut sauce is rhetorical unsung hero of that dish. Crème brûlée is a classic and delicious dessert, executed well! The tenderloin Wellington wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad.

I am pretty satisfied with my regular rotation of breakfast/brunch in the area. We decided to give a new place a chance since in the same week I saw 2 amazing reviews and had a co-worker give their strongest recommendation to Land Ocean Sparks. So happy with the dining experience. To start, this place feels fancy even though it is in a shopping center in an old Chili's location. This is the modern steakhouse done exactly right. They have found great servers that improve the brunch experience by providing a flawless service. We had the Crème Brûlée French Toast with Bacon YUM!!!! and the Chicken and Waffles which cane with strawberry butter and raspberries to round out a sticky sweet tart dish in all the best ways. The coffee was the only thing that The prices are not pretentious at all, think an elevated brunch with an approachable price and an impressive atmosphere.

I dined at Land Ocean and was impressed from the moment I walked in. Despite its unexpected location, the restaurant features a stylish interior with warm lighting, polished finishes, and a lively atmosphere, complemented by friendly, attentive service. I ordered the Thai Salad with Wagyu Sirloin, which included a generous portion of tender, perfectly cooked steak that paired well with the fresh vegetables and vibrant flavors. My guest had The Wedge with Blackened Salmon; the salmon was expertly cooked with a lightly charred crust and moist, flaky center, while the cool, crunchy salad provided a refreshing contrast. The excellent food, service, and inviting atmosphere made for an enjoyable experience. Even at 2:00 p.m., the restaurant was buzzing with activity. What a surprise and an absolute delight. Matthew, our wait person was outstanding!

Been going to the Roseville location for years and also really enjoy their other restaurant Sienna. Moved here from there so it was really exciting to hear we were getting a land ocean. All of the staff were so kind and loved our baby. Food came out pretty quickly, no wait for lunch and had no reservation. Even people who were not our server were so friendly walking by seeing if we were enjoying everything. The food is always so good and fresh tasting. Salad dressing is amazing. Sparks is lucky to have this place!

I felt like having a drink and a bite, but the hubby and I could not decide on where to go without having to drive across town. I recommend that we went to Land Ocean, he agreed and we're so happy that we did. We walked in and were greeted by the hostess and were asked if we wanted to order from the happy hour or to be seated in the regular dining room. I said why not, we decided to sit in the bar area and take advantage of their happy hour menu, but we weren't limited to it. We were seated at a nice corner booth next to the kitchen, and a full view into the bar area. Madison was our server. She was very personable, attentive and just the sweetest. I'll definitely be back to sit with her in the future. I was very impressed with the staff here as a whole. An empty glass or plate didn't sit long on our table without a staff member coming by to pick it up or to ask if they could bring anything else. Madison made our experience here a memorable one. A casual day date. After this past week and poor service at other local establishments we were glad we came by and we can't wait to come back. We ordered their ahi tacos, spicy mussels, oysters in a half shell, wagyu sliders, The dip and a banana creme pie for dessert. All of the food was delicious and served fresh. The dip was too die for, I will be coming back for that when I crave a french dip. I had two raspberry lemon drops and the hubbs had a beer on draft. Thank you to the hostess for the drink recommendation. Thank you Madison and Land Ocean staff for your outstanding service! You guys are our new favorite! From a former industry worker to another; you guys were awesome and the food was delicious. Shout out to the chef! I wish I could give you guys 10 stars! Tip: Happy hour is M-Th 3-6pm. Note: There is an outdoor patio seating for those of you that want to dine outside.

I was very pleased with the atmosphere and dining setup. It's very cozy and low it. Our server Stephanie did a wonderful job and provided all around top notch service! My Lavish burger was delicious and would definitely order again! The calamari was very good and full of flavor. My only complaint would have to be the banana pudding. The Oreo crust was the last thing from being a crust. It was more of a dusting and had the same consistency of sand. The presentation was also sub par, as my friend described it looking like a middle school desert project. I was also very excited about the white chocolate whipped cream but there wasn't much of a chocolatey flavor to it. Overall I would definitely come back!

In the month that I have lived here, I have visited 4 times. Once for brunch and the other three for dinner and have loved it every time! I know this is a fairly new restaurant and you can tell it's going to thrive. All 4 visits have only been a party of two and we never had to wait. This review will now be specific to my most recent dinner visit. We stopped in on a Monday around 6 and we were told we could wait 15 minutes or sit at the bar which has full service. We chose the bar and were immediately greeted with a menu, waters and napkins with utensils. We were in the mood for a light dinner so we just immediately ordered multiple appetizers which included the following Large wedge salad - very filling. The bleu cheese and bacon were plentiful and could be tasted in each bite. Jumbo prawn cocktail - honestly the best shrimp cocktail l've ever had. Comes with 5 nicely sized pieces of shrimp on a pretty bed of greens. The cocktail sauce is perfectly spicy. Take my advice, make sure you order extra. Artichoke - this one is seasonal, make sure you try it before they take it off the menu. I don't know what the aioli sauce is, but it is absolutely amazing again, make sure to order extra. The lemon definitely comes through and whatever seasoning they put on gives it the perfect touch. I would recommend making a reservation in advance and definitely recommend trying this restaurant. It's great for large parties, meet ups with friends and even date nights! Service is always swift and friendly, make sure to save room for

Beautiful restaurant with good food. The servers were friendly and food came out pretty quick. We were so hungry so we ordered so many different dishes so I can barely remember all the names but the mushrooms stood out to me because it was so salty. Like we had 2 bites and had to send it back. But the other dishes were very good. We booked the private room for my sister in law's birthday and it was extremely nice. Very roomy. But overall good food and vibes. We will be back.

Amazing service and sat down right when I got here. The ambiance is so clean and inviting. It was daytime but yet it wasn't too bright and felt relaxing. Now on to the food.... Wow!!! I had the filet mignon teriyaki stir fry and it was so fresh, tasty and delicious! We also ordered the dip which is a prime rib dip with onion rings! Highly recommend eating here and the portions are great as well.

Great for lunch meetings or parties

He chose this place. And last month when we got together, he suggested we come back. It brought back so many memories!! Crazy as she also started sharing all our pictures from the past?!?! Again, so many memories. Okay, to the Steak House, I need to focus, lol. Today we got the following, all of which were cooked perfectly! Complimentary Bread with French and Apricot, Pistachio Butter - So good that all of us could not stop eating it. It is going to ruin our dinner... Palette Cleanser - Refreshing. All the wives got the Sea Bass and Salad, so I only took one picture. Are they spending too much time together...? Ate the exact same meal?!?! This is affecting my Yelp pictures, lol. The good news is that us "men" all ordered different entrees. Again, everything was all cooked perfectly. Prime Rib - 16oz, I really think I got a larger slice, thank you. Changed it up from my usual rib eye. Against my own will, I caved in for a second slice of huge thick sourdough bread so I was only able to finish half my dinner... If I did not do that, I think I could have finished my dinner. I also appreciated the two horse radish options. Oh, and a sweet potato option!!! Sold. Filet - 12 oz, my buddy impresses me that he can always finish his dinner and he ate 4 slices of bread?!?! He is not much bigger than me. My buddy also changed his options to sweet potato following my lead. Wagyu Short Rib - This buddy is a light eater like myself, but he finished his dinner. This is the second time I have seen him finish his whole dinner! I am impressed. But not sure if he had any of that delicious bread. Dessert: The ladies wanted "a" dessert to share, so they ordered a cherry crumb cheesecake (my favorite of the desserts). Then my filet buddy who is a Key Lime connoisseur gave in and ordered a "Key Lime Pie;" sorry, none of us felt this was a pie, but rather more like a key lime creme brulee?!?! It was still good, but far from his and our expectations. S'more Dessert - Lastly, the manager brought over this dessert. I don't think it was even on the menu. He asked which dessert we liked best and we all had different answers so he left laughing. Complimentary chocolates. I washed down my dinner with a glass of Shiraz. I also had a glass of wine already gambling while waiting for our friends in the casino. Table side flaming desserts available; see pictures. Ambiance - Small, but a beautiful location in the Western Village Resort, Casino. Almost hidden in a corner. Non pretentious. Restrooms - Need to go outside to the casino. The closest ones are upstairs, just follow the sign. Open 7 days a week from 4:30pm to 9pm or 10pm. Service - 6 stars. From the hostess, servers, waitress and manager. So professional, "white glove" service, respectful, etc. Thank you. Hot towels at the end of dinner; be careful, piping hot. Oh, we also never felt pressured to leave and we stayed 1 hour after closing... Thanks and sorry. We always have so much fun with this group of friends. Actually, we are having a happy hour together at Napa Bistro tomorrow with the larger group... Can't get enough of each other. Price - $416 + generous tip. Expensive, but worth it. I actually felt it was of very good value for the experience, service, and quality of food. I think we need to come back more often than every 20+ years, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success for over 40 years. 1983 - Peppermill acquired.

Alec raises his cattle in Fernley so super local, the cows are happy cows not trucked to feedlots at the end of their life cycle. They have good lives, these are the things that I appreciate as a meat eater. And yes I do know all beef is finished on grain, but there's a difference in mixing grass and grain in fields etc. I ordered through his website, super easy. I got a 1/4 of beef, after trimming and cutting, I ended up with around 110 lbs of beef. The percentages of certain types of meat described on his website, ended up being spot on for me. Yes, I wrote down every package, weighed them and created a spreadsheet haha. The packages came wrapped in saran wrap then butcher paper with a stamp of the type of cut. I like knowing what the weight is so a print out sticker with that would be preferred personally in the future, but I just wrote the weight on each package. I kept in touch with Alec and he was very adamant about quality and my happiness He said if it wasn't anything less than amazing, he'd get me a new one. I have the messages for proof, but to be honest, even if I wasn't 100% happy, I could never do that to a small business over possibly small qualms. He cheered me on when I sent him some pics of my first meals with the meat I got from him. He is a young guy, expanding his long run, multi generational family business. On Facebook he showed that he was opening up a store front and I couldn't be more excited for him and for Reno. This is a dream basically, to have local sources of meat, in affordable prices. And I appreciate his ability to take a chance and try to bring back some of the good things from older genertions like neighborhood butcher shops. I suggest giving him a try when you need a butcher or want a beef share for the family if you have the room. It ends up being incredibly worth it cost wise in the long run even though it can be intimidating for an upfront cost. In the end, we have been going through our beef pretty slow, I still have around 50% of it left, and haven't bought beef at a store since February. I've eaten some new meals, cooked cuts in new ways and learned to like hamburger again (because this stuff is tasty and not close to store bought). I haven't had any bad cuts, and I feel so good eating this beef, supporting local business and new generations.

Exceptionally good dinner this visit. We arrived in there was a bit of a line, I asked how long of…read morea wait for a table for two and the host said about 10 minutes. That was fine so as soon as we turned around to sit in the lobby, the guy called us and said he happened to find a table for two. So we were sat immediately. This is the busiest I've ever seen this restaurant. Pretty much every table, and they have lots of tables, was full. Braden was our server and he was at our table within five minutes. Considering how busy the place was, that was awesome. He took our drink orders asked if we actually knew what we wanted to eat, which we didn't, and so he went to get our drinks while we looked at the menu. What we ordered: 25 ounce Cadillac margarita Frolic in the sand Shots of tequila (Herradura) 20 ounce prime rib, medium rare Lobster tail Jacketed baked potato Sautéed mushrooms The food arrived quickly. The prime rib was perfect. Lobster, mushrooms. Everything was just so darn good. The star of the show was the server Braden. He was friendly and a little entertaining. Even though the place was super busy, he took the time to talk with us and make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our evening. I will definitely ask for him next time we come in here as he was that good. When the food and drinks are consistent, sometimes the only difference of a good visit versus an average visit is the server. He was perfect. Still some of the best prices in town for a steak/prime rib. Comfortable. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back again and again. Final note: don't forget to pick up the gift card at Costco to get $20 off 100...

I know things can go wrong occasionally, but this seemed to be a string of events. Once we ordered, it took a while to get food. I'm not complaining about this, we were a large party. When we did get our food, all of it was either wrong, cold, or undercooked. There were no wait staff around to tell, apparently they were short-staffed that night. I walked up and got the manager, who came back to the table to hear us out. They ended up comping all of the food and by the time we had gotten this far, it was already later in the evening and we just decided to salvage what we could. Some of the food was edible, so we did what we could. We kept waiting for someone to come around to clear dishes comma but we never saw anyone. There was an empty table between us and the next table over. There was an empty table between us and the next table over, and they had started stacking they're empty dishes on that empty table. We decided, we might as well do the same thing otherwise the dishes would stay put. By the end of the meal, the entire table was full of dishes. We ended up going somewhere else later that evening to actually get some food we could eat. I'm really sad that this meal went so poorly when we were trying to celebrate a birthday. We will never be going to this restaurant again. Additional after the fact, the sign outside that advertises the business has been broken for months. One would think that if you were a serious business that you would want to fix that. It reflects on your image. It makes me sad too, because they are right across the street from the Peppermill and they could be getting so much business.
