2.4 stars. It pains me to write this review because I am a HUGE fan of Sienna Restaurants be it Land Ocean, Sienna, or South Fork. The main reason we chose to try this location while in town was because we are regulars at Sienna Roseville and I love their vanilla old fashioned and their food is always solid (fitness special, salmon blt, kids meals are our go to). Yesterday we ordered: Spicy mussels (tasted fine not special 3/5) Bacon Mac and cheese (this was 4.5/5) Salmon blt (bacon way overcooked and salmon was completely cooked through not flaky like usual 2.5/5) Land and ocean (filet was soooo salty as was the twice baked potato 2.5/5) Mushrooms (salt bomb 2.5/5) Kids burger (completed burnt to a crisp black on the outside had to send it back. The remake was medium rare 1/5) Kids Mac and cheese (fine def not as good as the Roseville sienna or land ocean 3/5) Vanilla Old fashioned (2.5/5 - I am basically an expert - this was my 4th one of the week at land ocean/sienna and this one did not taste like their signature drink) Overall, the service was pretty good but definitely slow. The ambiance was not my vibe as it was too dim and everything had an orange tinge. The food was sooo salty that I have been sipping water throughout the night (never happens when I go to the other locations). It was just disappointing all around. Land ocean is easily my favorite restaurant in Reno! I've been to the new location a few times now and I end up with Maddy each time. She's a delight! Very kind and helpful each time I've gone. I haven't had anything I didn't like here, but my fav dish is easily the filet mignon stir fry. It's light, fresh, filling and full of flavor! More recently, I've tried the blackened shrimp bowl and it was a hit as well. My go to steaks are the ribeye or strip! Basically you can't go wrong no matter what you select! Came for dinner and to enjoy the atmosphere. It was our first outing since we've had our baby and this sounded so good. Ordered the calamari for an app and the ahi tuna salad for my entree. Both really hit the spot. I loved the thick calamari strips (instead of rings). They were served with fried onion strings as well. The salad was incredibly fresh and came with a wonderful dressing that had a hint of wasabi. Birthday dinner for our son so the Sparks location made the most sense for him. have been to the South Reno location many times, so we figured this was a safe bet. Was not wrong. We had made reservations which was a good thing because they were really busy. After a short wait, we were shown to our booth, given water and drink orders taken. Had time to peruse the menu while waiting on the birthday boy to show up. We ordered the Cheesy Garlic bread to tide us over while deciding what we wanted and getting a round of drinks. Tahoe Mule for the son, Merlot for the dad, and a quite yummy non-alcoholic Margarita. It uses a no alcohol tequila. It certainly had all the right flavors. Our server, Mallory took good care of us throughout the meal. the two men both decided on the Land Ocean - classic lobster tail and filet. I went with the marginally healthy Tuna Poke Bowl. We finished up with the HUGE Chocolate Lava Cake. I like how they asked if any of us had food allergies or dietary restrictions. We have none. We went in on a Saturday evening during prime dinner hour. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were seated at exactly our reservation time. The restaurant is spacious with a lot of booths. There are only a few spots that can accommodate large parties, including a private room. Staff was friendly and super helpful. While gluten free items are not marked on the menu, the server was very knowledgeable about what was gluten free or could be made gluten free. I opted to order the fitness special, which changes often. It was a delightful piece of cod with a nectarine & mango salsa, cilantro rice, and carrots. The portion was the perfect size, leaving room to share the deconstructed banana cream pie (no Oreo crust for me). So delicious! The staff was careful with my food, even going back to the kitchen to confirm preparation when an allergy pick wasn't placed in my dessert. We will definitely be back soon! Great new location in Sparks which was greatly anticipated as we love the Reno spot. Great brunch, lunch, dinner and happy hour service . We had lunch today and were served by Tristan who was friendly and attentive checking on us several times but not rushing us. We enjoyed the sandwich and fish along with fries and crispy house made potato chips, very good with a ranch dip. Generous portions which I took home half my sandwich as usual! Cindy and I enjoyed a great meal at Land Ocean, Spanish Springs, Sparks, Nevada. Our server Hope was very nice and her service was perfect. Our food, French Dip for me and Chinese Chicken Salad for my girlfriend, Cindy, was brought to us by Carly, which we knew from land Ocean in Reno. We had a nice visit with her and hopefully, our friend Anne, the manager will promote her to server from food runner. I highly recommend Carly. We visited the new Land Ocean in Sparks on a Monday, June 29th, 2026, and what a pleasant surprise ! Our waitress, Nicole, couldn't have been nicer, as was the bartender, Madison. We've enjoyed the Lucious Burger at their South Reno location in the past, and the meal at this new Sparks location is just as delicious! The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, everything was served hot, and the cocktails were truly delicious. My wife, who rarely drinks alcoholic beverages, enjoyed her Raspberry Lemon Drop so much that she actually ordered a SECOND! The entire restaurant is clean, comfortable, fresh and cozy- the Platt family should be VERY proud of this extraordinary accomplishment. Came here last night for the first time. The ambiance feels very fancy, nice decor, the large screens of football playing do detract from that though. The service was great, and our waitress (Hope, I think) was very friendly and took wonderful care of us. Sadly this place fell short on the food. I ordered the sesame chicken salad. I've never in my life had a salad and wondered where the lettuce was, until last night. There was such a tiny amount of lettuce, I left the meal hungry and spent my time eating searching for lettuce through the copious amounts of wonton strips. It was also extremely overdressed, and generally just lacking flavor. The dressing wasn't bad, it was just on the bland side. Overall I was really unimpressed. My husband got the lavish burger. He enjoyed it and the flavors, but sadly the outside of the burger was burnt, to the point that the burnt flavor permeated the whole sandwich. My brother ordered the very expensive land ocean, and the portion size was very small for the high price. His steak was good, but his lobster was very overcooked and rubbery. The other three dishes at the table I'm told were good. For the price, the food being so hit or miss was really disappointing. This kind of restaurant isn't really my husband and I's scene anyway, but after this we won't be back regardless. I hope they can improve their consistency! read more

They have found great servers that improve the brunch experience by providing a flawless service. Been going to the Roseville location for years and also really enjoy their other restaurant Sienna. Moved here from there so it was really exciting to hear we were getting a land ocean. All of the staff were so kind and loved our baby. Food came out pretty quickly, no wait for lunch and had no reservation. My Lavish burger was delicious and would definitely order again! The calamari was very good and full of flavor. My only complaint would have to be the banana pudding. The Oreo crust was the last thing from being a crust. It was more of a dusting and had the same consistency of sand. The presentation was also sub par, as my friend described it looking like a middle school desert project. In the month that I have lived here, I have visited 4 times. Once for brunch and the other three for dinner and have loved it every time! I know this is a fairly new restaurant and you can tell it's going to thrive. All 4 visits have only been a party of two and we never had to wait. We chose the bar and were immediately greeted with a menu, waters and napkins with utensils. We were in the mood for a light dinner so we just immediately ordered multiple appetizers which included the following Large wedge salad - very filling. The bleu cheese and bacon were plentiful and could be tasted in each bite. Jumbo prawn cocktail - honestly the best shrimp cocktail l've ever had. Comes with 5 nicely sized pieces of shrimp on a pretty bed of greens. The cocktail sauce is perfectly spicy. Take my advice, make sure you order extra. Artichoke - this one is seasonal, make sure you try it before they take it off the menu. I don't know what the aioli sauce is, but it is absolutely amazing again, make sure to order extra. The lemon definitely comes through and whatever seasoning they put on gives it the perfect touch. I would recommend making a reservation in advance and definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Brook and Madison were outstanding at the bar! We had the bottomless mimosas $15 which is The Best Buy in town! They even had my favorite Pink Grapefruit Juice. It is SO good to have a real fine dining restaurant here in Sparks! We had a 1pm reservation on. Sunday and it was packed! Hard to find the door; it's on the west side of the building. Once we finally made it inside we were seated immediately. They were super busy so it was a little slow getting our coffee and brunch order in. They don't have an espresso machine, which is odd, considering the dinner menu would make me want a cappuccino! I ordered the filet Benedict (with gf English muffin) which was perfectly cooked and the béarnaise sauce was on point. My mom got the frittata and said it was good, another in our party got the breakfast sandwich on a gf roll and that was excellent. The other two got a classic Benedict and the House Benedict. I have heard so many things about this restaurant so it was good to finally try them since they opened a few days ago. We walked in on Saturday with no reservation. The person at the front said booth are only reservation, but the bar takes walk-ins. We sat at the bar and Nicole was our server. She was amazing and so were Dylan and Brooke. They all checked in on us to make sure everything was okay and got what we needed. We ordered the following: Oysters on the half shell: These were very fresh! We did ask for horseradish, but I think they forgot. It is okay though since we got the Tabasco, and two other sauces. I loved how fresh it was and cleaned well. Sharp Cheddar Burger: I wanted to try a regular burger with the fries and it was perfect. The fries were much better than I was expecting. Cowboy Ribeye: The ribeye was a perfect medium rare and it was very juicy. The chipotle butter was subtle, but strong enough to add something extra to eat bite of the steak. Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée: The custard was creamy and the sugar on top added the perfect texture with the creaminess. Drinks we had: Espresso Martini: This was good. Not too bitter, but not too sweet either. Special K Martini: The pomegranate was a little strong than I expected making it more sour, but overall it is not bad. Irish Coffee: Warm. The coffee and whiskey is strong than I expected and not as sweet I would like. The whipped cream does help a bit, but it would be better just a tad sweeter. Vanilla Old Fashioned: It was good and vanilla forward, but not cold since it wasn't made in the glass. Appreciate that many of the cocktails were pre made. The interior was very spacious and brighter than I expected which I do appreciate. There is one tv and the music playlist has been great. It might be a bit loud if you are not directly sitting next to the person. The booths give the customers a more intimate experience at their table compared to the bar. The service was exceptional so far with every person we interacted with. The bar felt like we were in other people's personal bubbles. Overall, I am excited to come back here and try everything on the menu. Everything sounded so good and a couple next to us got scallops which I did not see on the menu.
