I hired Mike for our home inspection before closing, and he was very professional and did a great…read morejob. He takes pics and videos of everything he does and finds. He works very fast; we had the report later that evening, which we sent over to the supervisor of the home builders. This gives them time to go over it and fix everything Mike finds. Contacted another home inspector prior, but they were going on vacation, so he even recommended Mike as well, saying he is very good. He allowed us to be present during the inspection; we gave him space so he could work and we wouldn't be hovering over him. Since we were there after he was done, he would show me things and tell me things. I had a few questions, and he answered everything and gave me a lot of helpful tips on what to expect as a new homeowner and what to look out for out here in this area. Like what are more common things and things we should do as preventive maintenance and such.

I found out during the final walkthrough. I reached out to him for a full refund. He only wanted to give me partial refund. There's no such thing as a partial refund. I respect William because he served our country but it was really disappointing. Guys if you're buying your first home, don't trust this company. If you reach out to him, he will only give you a partial refund.

This is very frustrating especially when my hard earned money is being spent to pay for a service that is sub par, then to have pay to for something that should have been addressed by the company that you paid to inspect it. Then to have to deal with horrid smells in your home because of someone else's mistake. I read to your "scheduler" exactly what the home warranty plumber put in the report. I read word for word what the warranty denial email said including the P-trap being installed incorrectly. What your scheduler chose to relay to you is in her not me. All the plumbing that the plumber saw was clearly visible for the inspector. No walls were opened. If your inspector is not aware of how a P-trap should be installed then maybe he needs more training. In your voicemail you (Lynn) stated that it was an easy fix for a handy man. This is pretty clear that you are trying to pass the buck and assume no further liability or responsibility. At no point in time did your voicemail say that you would send someone else out to look at it. But it is obvious that you would rather point fingers than take any responsibility. BTW, I was speaking to your scheduler on the blue tooth in my car, I am hearing impaired and I have to turn the volume up higher in order to hear clearly. Honestly, I was in tears speaking to your scheduler because I am getting very frustrated with this companies ripping me off . The volume was up but o was never rude or nasty to your scheduler.

Unfortunately, significant defects were missed during the inspection, resulting in more than $10,000 in damage and repair costs that were discovered after the purchase. Most concerning was the failure to identify extensive water damage and evidence of water intrusion in multiple areas of the home. There was also significant water damage to door trim at multiple locations throughout the house that were not identified. These were not isolated or insignificant issues; they were visible indications of water intrusion and damage that I expected a thorough home inspection to identify and document. The inspection also failed to identify active water leaks at a faucet, which should have been observable during the inspection. Additionally, the water softener/treatment system was incorrectly identified as functioning properly. After the purchase, it was discovered that the system was leaking immediately after purchase. This was particularly concerning because the inspection report gave me the impression that the system had been evaluated and was operating properly when it was not. Taken together, these were multiple significant failures involving water intrusion, active leaks, and water-related damage. The cumulative cost of addressing the issues has exceeded $10,000. I hired a professional home inspector specifically to identify problems such as these before completing the purchase. Unfortunately, the inspection did not provide the level of diligence, accuracy, or attention to detail that I expected from a professional inspection. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Steve Kiefer or WIN Home Inspection to other homebuyers. Anyone considering using this inspector should be aware of my experience and should consider obtaining an independent second inspection, particularly for evidence of water intrusion, leaks, and moisture-related damage.

He showed up exactly on time, walked me through what he was doing, and explained how the system works instead of just rushing through the job. The dryer duct alone had some massive lint buildup from years of accumulation. Watching what he pulled out of there made me realize how overdue the cleaning was. What really stood out was that he didn't just clean and leave. He tested everything afterward, checked connections, tightened a few things that were loose, and made sure the airflow was right before wrapping up. That extra attention to detail is rare. Not only did he protect my house from the pigeons that have called it home for the last few years, he also pressure washed and cleaned all the area of the roof from pigeon droppings. Added grates and spikes to prevent them from coming back and even cleaned up any droppings left from the pigeons roosting. And I don't just mean spray off the concrete. He even dug in the dirt and rocks to get as much out as possible and cleaned up the front yard area where there was droppings! He also tidied up some shoddy work from the company that installed my solar panels. HOME WRECKER!!! This…read morereview has nothing to do with the inspection report. Ray Diaz came onto my property and yelled at me and told me that I needed to leave. We are in the middle of a pandemic. I was told the opposite, the day before by my realtor that I would stay at home. This guy was very rude and mean. He told me did he was just telling me "the facts," and if I didn't like it, "tough $#!T." He progressively got worse as the inspection went on. He was very combative and pounded it on my door. The second time, I did not even have time to put my shoes on. For the inside inspection he was slamming my cupboards and he came into the room where I was having a private conversation with my sister about world conditions and he actually accused me of talking about him! I was not, but he never should have tried to confront me for something like that. I have reached out to the company for the damage that he did, slammed my cupboard doors so hard that the rubber stoppers fell off three of them and he loosened the thermostat from the wall greatly. He also was coughing the entire time he was here. He wore a mask but he did not wear booties or gloves. At first I thought it was fake to scare me, but I have am having symptoms, and this morning I have a bit of a cough. I have written to the corporation telling them how concerned I am and asking them if they can find out whether or not this person had covid-19, but nobody has reached out to me. I'm not quite sure but I think the Nevada real estate division governs home inspector licenses. If so, if I have the energy I likely will be making a complaint with them. I have him cussing me out on video. If anybody has any similar experiences I would be happy to consider sharing my video with them. In my opinion this is an extremely unprofessional company that doesn't care and Mr. Diaz appears to have an extreme personality problem. He caused damage to my home and cussed me out simply because he had a beef that had occurred the day before with the realtor. I was taken by surprise by his attitude because that was not my beef but he sought to drag me into it.

Utilities are a pain to transfer, so I'm thankful for the help. Highly recommend them!

I completely understand and understood that its possible this could have happened accidently or could have been waiting to happen and i did not fault them for this at all for this but I still woke up with a gas leak in my house with my family there. The pure unprofessionalism from the owner in the email blaming me for a gas leak that was caused by his company is incredible, I would never ever suggest anyone use these people for anything because the owner does not care if his company is responsible for leaving a harmful environment and gave no apology at all and in fact turned the blame around on us. This is a terrible company.

They provided lots of pictures and reports but not sure how they go about inspecting, we requested repairs afterwards for some of the minor electrical and safety hazards. Upon moving in , 1st day , no hot water , the upstairs bathroom was clogged , the AC made a big loud noise when turned on and off , the pool had issues already, not sure if they don't run hvac , water and things like that to make sure they're working properly but I was just very disappointed, I know things break and that comes with ownership but how is it possible that this wasn't noticed during the inspection? 1day there , tired from moving and no hot water , and the toilet clogged ...I don't know I was just hoping they'd let us know these things weren't working.
