One of the owners of this business, "Tom" referred to me as a "crazy lady" in a text message He was completely unprofessional. He sent me that message which I would be happy to provide in the way of a screenshot. It was completely unprofessional and unwarranted. This company is completely subpar In every aspect of the business. They failed to return a phone call within a reasonable business time, at least 48 hours to give me a quote for business. I have documentation of the services I requested from this company of which they never returned my phone call. To retaliate...They called me a "crazy lady" in a text message response to me and alleged that I cussed at them in a voice message which is not true. Even if that were to occur, to call a "would be" customer back and or text them and "berate them" resulting in personal name calling, ("a crazy lady" )is completely unethical, immature & unprofessional for a professional business as this was an untrue accusation. This is a completely unethical and completely immature way of practicing business, resorting to "name calling" from two grown men who own this business. I have documented evidence pertaining to this complaint. I would not call either one of these individuals under this business name for any kind of building inspection whatsoever. This is far too important of an arena to hire these two clowns. This company should not be in business at all. I will be happy to submit a screenshot of this business owner calling me a "crazy lady"! Wanted to post an update here because the hole of things this inspector left behind for us to deal with is nearly endless. A few months after moving into this house our power bills are now $1400 in the summer (not exaggerating). Had two companies come out to give us quotes on new AC units that are more energy efficient. BOTH companies looked at the wiring for the AC said it is a fire hazard and isn't to code and has never been to code. It is wired along the side of the house instead of inside the walls, with the wrong gage wire that is hot to touch, because it's pulling so much electricity through it which is running our bills up ridiculously. They also stated the metal used for wrapping some of the wiring is not even waterproof. STAY away from this inspection company. You have been warned. This is costing us $32k to fix. Overall we are about $45k in the hole due to this inspection company being a complete scam who just stamps paperwork for realtors. read more

I'm ruined financially because this was a speedy slap job and he couldn't find all the plumbing leaking behind the walls of the house and now I have to mitigate mold and new plumbing work. thousands of dollars of work that could have been managed beforehand with a competent inspector. no way for me to recoup now except this lousy review to hopefully save someone else. read more

We paid $500 for a full inspection including an infrared of the walls. He was there a little more than an hour and in the inspection report said he couldn't do it because of furniture and storage. We live in our unit and we were not told before booking and paying there was a problem with that. We told him we'd be happy to move anything he needed us to and we were there during the inspection. He pointed out two obvious things but other than that was no help whatsoever. He even listed the building as being built in 2007. We were clear the unit was less than a year old (finished July 2023) So we paid the maximum for a minimum of effort. We asked for a discount under the circumstances and he never responded to our voicemail. read more

WIN home inspection made a report on a potential home buy. From just looking at the residence, it was in good shape, but WIN found all the underlying problems that we couldn't see, saving us from going further with the purchase. There were pictures and an explanations on each item. I am disappointed that the house didn't work out for me but in the long run, it was the best decision. Phil Whalen sent me multiple emails requesting Yelp and Google reviews. Here's my review: I was living in South Dakota when I was looking at houses here and was really counting on the inspector to make sure I got all of the things, good and bad, I needed to know about this house. I picked the inspector in previous houses but this time my realtor said he had a guy that was really good. WIN did the inspection on June 22, 2022. I arrived in Las Vegas from South Dakota on July 5th and was eager to see the house in person. I finally got into the house the second week of July to do my own inspection and I had a number of concerns about the quality of the inspection. On the side of the house, next to the air conditioner unit, is a swamp cooler that is used to cool the garage. There is substantial corrosion around the bottom of the unit that is not addressed in the report (see picture). Neither is the functionality of the unit. I got a call in about it and when inspector Walter Lee called me back his response was weak. He claimed that access to the unit inside the garage was blocked so he couldn't inspect it but "it was nice and cool in there." The placement of the unit in the garage is not good, it is under a counter, just above the floor, with a cabinet against one side (see picture). So blowing cool air out into the garage is already partially blocked. If there was so much stuff up against, there is no way it could have been "nice and cool in there." But I tried it to make sure. I piled stuff up in front of the unit and it barely cooled the garage a few feet out. I don't believe the unit was even on when the inspector was here because why would it be if no one was working out there? After I moved in, I ran the unit unblocked (nothing in front of it) for five days and nights when the high temps were in the nineties, and it never got below 82 degrees. And that is not "nice and cool." So the unit is not strong, to begin with, and if it was blocked so he couldn't see it, no way it cooled a double-sized garage. When I asked him about the corrosion on the unit outside, his response was, "this is Vegas, do you know how hard the water is out here?" Yes, I do but that is not an acceptable excuse for blowing off the inspection of a key, and expensive, piece of equipment. The microwave makes a buzzing noise and it is not a normal buzzing. Doing some research, and calling a repair guy, it sounds like either the Diode or the Megatron is burning out. We'll see but if it is still working in a year, I'll be surprised. The buzzing sound is not addressed in the inspection report. I made a video of the microwave running so you could hear the buzzing but I couldn't attach it to his review. The inspection report mentions that some sprinkler lines are exposed with one picture of black irrigation tubing shown. NOT some, all of the drip sprinkler hoses and lines in the backyard are exposed. And it has become a big problem with three labradors running around out there. read more
