We recently went to Premium outlet with friends from the Philippines and we tried Lasa Street food. We ordered the lechon kawali, crispy pata and the refreshing drink, sago gulaman. The portion of food is just right, the lechon kawali and crispy pata were ddlicious, the skin is crunchy and freshly made, it comes with dipping sauce and pickled achara. We wanted to order a vegetable dish (similar to Bicol express but it was a 25 minute wait). The drink was so refreshing! They have a little covered area where you can enjoy your decent meal. Sago, which is like filipino boba pearls, and 2 jellies. For $5 wish it was a larger size so there could be more syrup juice. Drink was good but sad experience with the scarce syrup they gave. This was disappointing because I was really excited to try this place. I ordered the lechon kawali with rice as well as the sisig with fried egg over rice. The best thing between these two orders was probably the egg. The rice was severely undercooked. It's hard and almost transparent. Paid 22 bucks for crispy pork plate. All I got is a huge bone with little meat and too much skin. The meat I got was mostly trotter meat which dark, fatty and too salty for my palate. The best part of the meat that I got was the fibrous part of the meniscus. The skin was crunchy but not crispy as you can see from the photos, it was the skin without the crispy bubbles. The slaw was lacking in flavor. It was missing the acidity and tang of proper pickling. The sauce that came with the plate was something to change the saltiness of the meat but did not save the dish for me. It was a vinegar soy sauce with garlic. Also came with sriracha. Sadly, I usually always give food places a second chance to change my mind but this is the rare negative review that I will post. I know it's a family run business and I hope they succeed. I just wish my experience was different. Completely different. I would specifically ask for the pork belly that is featured in the window. read more

Lasa Street Food is the answer to your question of where. Located kitty corner to the Nike store, don't let its name dissuade you. Their menu might be based on the street food in the Philippines, but have you had the street food in the Philippines?!?! It's just the cheaper version of what's in the five star restaurants and most times much better. Lasa Street Food provides your taste buds with the food fare good enough for a Christmas Dinner Spread. They're the one restaurant who took over the once Starbucks kiosk who's lasted as long as they have. It's because they're that good. As always, you're greeted with the Filipino hospitality & respect. As for the food, although received in to go boxes, the dishes are well presented and in good portions. Choose just two entrees, an appetizer and you've got a complete meal for four. Add one of their dessert drinks and you'll be refreshed and sweetly satisfied at the same time. And the flavor of EVERYTHING is delicious! The only thing I'd change is their outdoor seating. It's great for when we have good weather, but when we have our Washington weather, it's more comfortable to take your order home. I'd love for them to have those undercover heaters and maybe a curtain to shield from the wind. But this won't keep us from the yummy food. They have another restaurant in Lynnwood called Lasa Sandwiches. Same great taste, but just delivered in a different ingenious way with a completely different menu. We've tried Lasa at least 3 times since they opened. I'm still trying to figure out what they serve that people rave about. I've had the crispy pata, lechon kawali, sisig and fish balls. Anything that's fried tastes like it's be reheated a few times. You can tell because the meat is dry and they display crispy pata and pieces of meat on the window already cooked. I've heard of Lasa Sandwiches in Lynnwood but haven't tried but had the opportunity to try their "street food" while shopping at the outlets. My family ordered the spicy pork adobo, lumpia and lugaw soup! Everything was so delicious and flavorful. The spicy pork WAS spicy, good enough to devour and not too powerful where you can't take another bite - know what I mean? The lumpia was so good too, it had a little kick or something I can't pinpoint but it was different but still tasty. Can't wait to try the sandwiches soon. Chanced upon Lasa open on a cold fall day. I have heard about this Filipino joint in the Seattle Premium Outlets. It is a separate store don't away from the Food Court. There were only a few items -- crispy pata, lechon kawali, Lasa express (their take on Bicol Express), lumpia Shanghai, arroz caldo, fish balls, kwek kwek and some classic Filipino drinks which I thought completed the Filipino experience. San Miguel beer, juices) calamansi, mango, buko) among other choices. There was also halo-halo. My family decided on lechon kawali and Lasa express. Both were so yummy. I'd say well priced at about $15 an order. Generous servings. The Lasa express was coconut milk based and cooked the right way that you see the cream become tasty oily spicy sauce just the way 'gaya' should be. The lechon kawali was perfectly tender and crisp. A cup of rice accompanied each order and atchara, or pickled papaya, carrots, bell pepper. All the flavors went so well together. The food is good. Things go so badly when you try any special requests. These requests include not making the sisig spicy. On three separate occasions, I just ask them to leave out the peppers. On the same occasions, spicy peppers made it there. No big deal... just scrape off the peppers on the top and call it good. If you order the crispy pata, and the cashier asks if you want it cut up don't bother saying yes. No matter what, the crispy pata will be delivered whole, in a nearly melted styrofoam container. That's when you have to go all caveman because the flimsy, plastic spoon and fork is not strong enough to properly separate the skin and meat... If feel up to this kind of thing, they're worth the experience if you're curious. I'm all done with this establishment and most likely won't come to it any time soon. The Filipino restaurant in Lynnwood/alderwood across H-Mart is a better fit for me. When I have special requests, it is honored and fulfilled. read more
