We had a great time! It was my boyfriend's birthday and they provided pizza and soda! There were two games and a wall of lasers!

Awesome, but the laser maze lacked difficulty to me. I did medium, and it was super easy.

The facility itself is large, parking is easy, and there are plenty of attractions that keep students entertained. The kids especially enjoyed the variety of jumping areas, the small arcade, and the snack shop. Unfortunately, this year's experience was filled with several organizational issues. We were told we could enter at 9:00 AM, but when we arrived, the facility was still closed. Standing outside with 45 excited students waiting to get in and another bus on the way was not an ideal way to start the day. Prior to our visit, we submitted student names, birthdays, and waiver numbers in advance to help streamline the check-in process. However, none of that information appeared to be utilized, and check-in ended up being long and exhausting for both students and staff. There was only one employee handling the entire check-in process, which created significant delays. We had also prepaid for a package that included unlimited pizza, drinks, chicken, and fries. It quickly became apparent that the facility was not prepared for our group's arrival. Food service was slow, and overall operations felt disorganized throughout the visit. The students were disappointed that the photo booth was out of service and that the rock wall was not fully functioning. To their credit, they still made the most of the activities that were available and had a good time together. One of the most confusing parts of the experience occurred at the end of our visit. Our group had already paid in full prior to arriving, yet we were asked for a final payment before leaving. This created unnecessary confusion and did not inspire confidence in the organization's record-keeping. While the facility itself offers a fun experience for students, the management and organization continue to be a concern. Since this has been an annual trip for our school, I would expect the process to become smoother and more efficient each year. Instead, many of the same logistical issues seem to persist. The kids still had fun, but the experience for the adults coordinating the trip was far more stressful than it needed to be.

Staff as a whole has been helpful when I've been there, even when they're definitely slammed. Have seen the improvements over the years! This time around i used my saved up tickets to get a small plush just so i can leave with a prize. Back then, you see everyone holding plushies and walking around. Now, maybe a few lucky winners? They filled a lot of the space with the mini claw machines. Do not play these!! You will not win! The claw strength for most of the machines are zero to none now and they have bumped up the prices for all of the claw machine games. They even force you to pay more for less credits now. Now it's either $120 or $140 ($110 before) and the credits definitely don't last as long anymore. Bad economy i guess. Don't come here if you actually want the prizes After using up 450 credits, i gave up and tried playing one of the marble games, the machine malfunctioned and refused to pay out the tickets. Asked someone to come look, a angry mechanic lady came by and walked around the machine, took a glance and left. I thought they needed to get help or something so i'm just sitting here and waiting for 30 minutes for them to come and try to fix it. Spoiler: they didn't come back to fix it nor come back to give an explanation to us. When i checked back at the reception, they said they sent someone to look at the machine but no one was at the machine(?) I AM LITERALLY SITTING IN FRONT OF THE MACHINE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Then they sent the same angry mechanic to come back, who gave me a mean glare, opened and tinkered with the machine, couldn't fix anything, and proceeded to walk away without saying a word. Another 15 minutes went by, so i went back to the counter to just ask for my credits back since i don't want to wait anymore. They said they are fixing it and i will get the tickets once they finish fixing the machine. I'm like they aren't even there. But they said they can't give me back my credits -.- Ended up taking an L and just killing off the rest of the card and leaving. It's like they can't afford to let you win It's such a scam Imma just wait until I go back to Japan where it's like a dollar each play and there's actually a chance to win things. Good bye Hayward Round one.

I'm so happy my kid's team chose to celebrate here after our championship-winning game! This location is so clean and has so many fun things for the kids to do. As soon as we got there, the gentleman at the register was ON IT. He was helping everyone and making sure the entire team was well taken care of. The league covered the kids' meals, while the parents purchased their own food and drinks. It did take a while to get our food, but it was completely understandable. About 15 families walked in all at once, and they still had regular customers there enjoying the World Cup game on their many TVs. They have an arcade and laser tag. The arcade prices weren't bad at all. The kids each got a $25 game card and had enough credits to play for about an hour. Once we got our pizza, it was definitely worth the wait! Even though it was a personal-sized pizza, my husband and I were both able to eat from it, and it was enough to satisfy us. To be fair, we had also sampled some of the other parents' food while we waited, but I still thought it was a pretty good portion. Overall, I would love to come back whenever we're in the area or after one of our games. A special thank you to the gentleman at the register. He was truly a team player. Not only was he helping customers at the front, but he was also bringing out pizzas, checking to make sure everyone was doing well, and just had awesome energy the entire time.

The arena is a great size with plenty of places for the kids to run around and hide, and the equipment was easy for them to use. The kids came out of every game so excited and ready to go again! The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout the party, which made everything so much easier for us. The kids loved spending time in the arcade between activities, and there was a really good variety of games to keep everyone entertained. Another huge plus is Craft Pizzeria, which is attached to the laser tag and arcade. We had pizza there for the party and it was so convenient having the food, arcade and laser tag all in one place instead of having to coordinate everything separately. Overall, it was such an easy and fun place to have a birthday party. The kids had an absolute blast, the adults could relax and enjoy themselves, and my son had an amazing birthday. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Sector 19 for birthday parties or just a fun day out with the kids!

The staff does a really good job introducing you to the game, providing context, and giving an overview of the rules. Additionally, they mentioned that we'd receive a discount off our total based on how quickly we finished, which was extra encouragement for us to get through the game. You immediately get immersed into the game before even walking into the actual room and once you're in Occam's Apartment, it feels even more real. The room itself is well decorated, with nice details scattered around the apartment. I loved every minute of the escape room experience and felt challenged throughout the time we were there. We did ask for hints throughout our time there and the answers were often given through directional questions. What I liked most about the Off the Couch set up is that the escape rooms are all a continuation of a storyline, so it makes you feel invested in the experience. I'm looking forward to the next escape room!

When we went to it this year, we came early so we can get to play the most popular games and avoid the crowds. My sweetie and I got our tickets- $40 each! About 40 minutes before the facilities opened. No one told us where to wait nor anything so we decided to hang out in the lounge but found it strange that there were not crowds of people there waiting as well. Finally, about 10 minutes before the event, a staff person told us where we had to wait in line! Now that was after we acted confused and thought the event already started as we almost walked into the room. NO STAFF PERSON INFORMED US WHERE WE HAD TO WAIT IN LINE AT TIME OF PURCHASING THE TICKETS! So we found out that it was like a ballroom where there was a line that went around the wall. My sweetie told a staff person how upset he was. The guy said that once the event starts, that line will move fast. And yes, he was right but that is not why people come early! People come early to be the first to play the latest games. Once we got in, there were already long lines for the most popular pinball games. Even the games I recall in my teens were already taken up. I played a few rounds of the Skee Ball but once an annoying preteen girl who was so into herself cut in front of me. I found the merchandise that was over priced as well as always. To save money, my sweetie and I took a break for lunch and simply ate our cold deli sandwiches in our car as we watched a young couple construct hammocks from their SUV to lounge in all the while in the garage! It was hilarious to see!! But mostly, I did not like this event as much as I did in the past. Not being properly informed of where to wait before the event started, it being extremely crowded, no great deals on merchandise, ...and that allusive raffle for a pinball machine that only someone who is financially well off and who probably already owns one or more pinball machines should own. Pinball machines are fun but when they break down as I constantly see at events like this, they are costly to repair if you do not know how to repair them. I did not even see the Alameda Pinball Museum represented here which would have made the event more fun for me. I always enjoyed seeing that they were selling and to hear about the progress in getting a larger facility for the large pinball game collection that they have. Come to think of it, I would have rather went to the museum where there is not large groups of people - museum may be small and may only have one or two of the latest pinball computerized games but I would enjoy it more. I just sat around most of the time at the Pinball Extreme feeling tired not from lots of pinball game playing but from the overwhelmed crowds of people there.
