My first time at Laseraway. Needed a last minute Botox appointment and they had it available so I naturally grabbed it. First time in over 10 years of doing the Botox I've experienced a nurse walking out of the room to fill up her syringe, never even showed me what product she used. Super unprofessional and raises a lot of questions. The nurse made two bruises and didn't even apply pressure or offer a cold pack, definitely never coming back. I don't think nurses who work here have proper training. I should have walked out right after the syringe incident but they made me prepay the procedure ahead of time to even book it. I wanted to love this place and I'm not one to immediately write "constructive" reviews but this has been the 3rd strike & it's time for a review update. I am a nurse & work in the healthcare industry for 13+ yrs, so I understand the industry very well. The experience that I didn't immediately write about (which I should have) BUT got me really upset was that they weren't clear on my injectables numbing time. They also kept changing the time of my appointment & wouldn't call to notify me of any changes which got really confusing. I called the office the day before because the times kept changing & confirmed my time but didn't inform me to arrive earlier for numbing. I arrive at the time I had in my calendar & they started to numb me. Literally 5 mins after, they take me to my room and the nurse comes in. This is my first time getting injectables into my lips and it was the WORST experience... painful as well as they did not allow me ample time to numb ESPECIALLY in a sensitive area such as the lips. I mentioned it to the nurse and she stated I came in late (which wasn't my fault because they kept changing my appointment time, then the time I had was the time of the injectable and NOT the numbing time). I could see that they had a busy patient day but I would have rather they cancelled me/rescheduled rather than force the appointment and have me experience the painful 1st experience OR even have had me wait for a proper numbing time. On to the latest... is I had a touch up for injectables (yesterday of this written review), and supposedly a nurse called off and instead of calling me to cancel... I show up and the receptionist informs me that they aren't able to do my treatment due to a nurse call off... I asked her if they just heard of that today and she mentioned it did happen today. Like I mentioned, I am a nurse and worked for a cosmetic surgeon as the practice manager, it was common practice for me to call patients immediately if something has change at least 24hrs before or the morning of. I am pretty sure the nurse called the morning of to notify of a call off so that should have been ample time to notify me not to come in. In the end... I drove 30mins for nothing and paid the meter just for them to tell me my appointment was cancelled on top of not even being able to find a rescheduled appointment... I was placed on a "high priority wait list." I love the Burlingame area (why I chose this location) but unfortunately will switch to another location after these circumstances. read more

You will hear the canned script about how they are not responsible, even in cases of their obvious negligence because you "signed the paperwork" which gives them carte blanche to have zero accountability. I echo other reviews to avoid this place at all costs. Please go to a medical environment with an actual doctor onsite and properly trained staff not this drive through, one size fits all business full of ill trained, ill prepared and unexperienced twenty somethings who say one thing, then management says another. When they realize that they botched the treatment, they will dismiss it and you and will not make it right. Not the kind of ethics you want to deal with when your face or body is damaged. Zero credibility. Find a true medical business that will stand by what they and their staff say and do. It goes to show you that they are only after the money: they want to cram in as many customers as they can and don't have the time to serve all of them properly. I don't like how I can't book an appointment with the same nurse each time. At the end of my treatment, I will have shown my lady parts to 8 different nurses. I like to keep my private parts as private as possible and would prefer to see the same person with each visit. They mark your legs with chalk and laser them by the sections they mark off. Make sure to watch the nurses, as they can completely skip an entire chunk of your leg! I honestly wish I would have done more research on laser hair removal before going to LaserAway. There are local options without as many clientele. If you're contemplating, I suggest going to a smaller scale business as opposed to being treated like a number by a large corporation. read more

I'm having such a frustrating experience with this shop. I had a bad Botox experience. I had a welt on my face for a full week (she said it would go down after 24 hours). I had smaller bumps on my face for days. I expressed concern before leaving and she told me it was normal for people to leave with "mosquito bites." I'm sorry but that hasn't happened in years of getting Botox elsewhere. I filled out the survey they email you after a couple of promptings. The manager sent me an email and said she would call me and asked for a good time, which I gave her. Only the manager did not call me, it was the woman who did the terrible job. What am I supposed to say to her that I didn't already? She saw what my face looked like and sent me on my way. I tried to talk to her but she said the phone was cutting out and she couldn't hear me. I emailed the manager back (three times) and never heard back from her. What kind of shop manager just ignores angry customers? I guess the one that does the exact wrong customer service move when given the chance to make things right. I have tried contacting corporate, but their form only leads you to get a service appointment for a quote. I know have thousands of dollars of services I don't want to use. I financed them instead of paying by credit card so don't feel I have any recourse. I am SO ANGRY I can't even express it in words. I am so upset and frustrated with the horrible service that I received at laseraway in Burlingame. On April 15 I had a 2:15pm appointment when I arrived 25 mins early since I had some free time to talk about my sessions for clear and bright. I told the receptionist that during my 6 sessions that it did not make my face any better and letting her know that I wanted to cancel my package that I bought for 12 sessions seeing that it didn't work. After expressing my feelings the service change dramatically. After about 25 mins past my appointment time I reminded them "don't forget me and my appointment" The lady said wait a little bit so I waited 5 more mins and after 30 mins they call me in with no reason of why they were late. Then after I go in to numb my face I did everything by myself and take off the cream by myself no one help me. That is the job of the technician who was supposed to do the treatment. When I took all of the cream off I then proceeded with the treatment from the technician she did not cover my face correctly and did not do a proper job on covering my eyebrows which would effect my eyebrows. Before my other 5 sessions they would cover my eyebrow tattoo but this time they didn't care about my eyebrow tattoo and rushed the treatment and mask on which lasted only 15 mins and normally it's about 30 mins for the procedure. I am so angry and frustrated with the service and treatment from the staff and technician. Specifically I went yesterday and had Liliana do my services for me and she was very sweet, kind, and professional. I highly recommend going to laser way. It is definitely worth it and I've seen great results with my Hydro facials, clear and brilliants and laser hair removal as well as cool sculpting. Clearly, I like it so much. I just keep going back and getting more and more services. The front desk ladies are always helpful and flexible in scheduling appointments. I get a reminder text as well to confirm my appointment. NPs are the ones that perform the service ie. I'm sad to report that I had massive bruising after coolsculpting on Monday, I went in for help on Wednesday. The nurse and "director" (whom I haven't met to talked to) agreed my injuries were "very rare. The nurse told me there was no listed protocol for massive bruising. She recommended icing, and that someone would reach out to me with more help and advice. Well, now it's Friday, and I'm being ghosted. My advice to you is you're beautiful the way you are. Don't do this--they will not help you if they hurt you. I'm in pain and it's hard to walk or sit or sleep. I'm stunned they are so callous.
