Because of this, I ended up finding a provider that's cheaper, more comfortable, and just a little better overall. - I tried to cancel an appointment, but their limited office hours made it difficult to reach anyone. When I finally explained that issue, the receptionist became defensive and insisted they call patients the day before appointments. In my case, no call was made. The only reminder I received was a text message sent three hours after the cancellation deadline had already passed, which isn't exactly helpful if the goal is avoiding cancellation fees. When I pointed this out, it felt like she wasn't really listening and said that I'd be charged $25 at my next appointment. I told her there wouldn't be a next appointment, and her response was, "That's fine." In hindsight, there were a few warning signs. The information I received from the receptionist about the procedure differed from what the nurse later told me. They charge for numbing cream (even though they tell you this upfront, it's still an extra charge on top of the procedure). The treatment chair looked like it had retired from a barbershop years ago and wouldn't stay elevated, so I kept slowly reclining backward whether I wanted to or not. To be fair, the nurse was friendly, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with. No complaints there at all, she got that extra star on this review. (Even the receptionist was great to start off, I don't know why it flipped so quickly). What surprises me is that a business would choose to lose a long-term customer over a $25 fee rather than simply show a little understanding. Thankfully, I ended up finding a different provider, where the experience has been significantly better. The treatments are less expensive, the pain is noticeably lower, and the redness/swelling faded much faster afterward. (For pain comparison, I had to stop three times on an arm piece here and, at the new place I found, I went without stopping once. Initially I was kind of at a loss that I'd have to start over, but if that conversation hadn't happened, I probably would have kept coming here. Instead, I found a place that's a much better fit.

The tattoo removal itself is very painful. I have a high pain tolerance, so I take it pretty well, but even then I'd say it's still rough. Make sure to let the team know about anything you notice with your skin after lasering and make sure to follow their aftercare instructions. My tattoo at this point was almost gone but I wanted a couple more sessions on it so I had to find a new place. I received Removery ads on my instagram account so I thought I would try them out. I completed my first session with removery and soon after I had black scarring/oxidization on my tattoo. The scarring/oxidization is so bad that anyone who saw it thought I got a new tattoo. I decided I would wait a few months to see if it would go away as sometimes it takes time for your body to clear. It did not go away. I went in to see the nurse who did the work and she said that its normal for a white section of a tattoo to oxidize and I would need more sessions. So basically she was telling me I would need to pay $350 a session for many more sessions just to get my tattoo to look the way it looked BEFORE she started on it. Clearly what happened was the nurse at removery used the wrong laser on my tattoo and she lasered an area that essentially didn't need it because there was nothing there. Like I said, I had two other places do many session on me and this did not happen at the other places. Now Im stuck with a really bad scar/tattoo that looks worse that I am going to need to pay to do sessions on just to return it back to where I started. I believe this removery nurse's lack of training and or experience caused this. What's worse is I have emailed Removery many times to kindly follow up and see what we can work out on this and no one has responded. (mind you this is to the same email address i have corresponded with them before on). I would not recommend going here for your tattoo removal. Even though the sessions can be pretty excruciating, Lili and Jessica always do their best to make me feel as comfortable as possible and check in throughout.
