Last month when I showed up for my appointment, the receptionist said, "oh! we tried calling you. Our machine is down." When I told her I didn't receive any missed calls from her she said they tried texting me too...I didn't have any texts either but rescheduled my appointment and left. The worst part was, I had brought a friend along that was interested in using Laser Away. Needless to say, she is no longer interested. The day before my make-up appointment, I received the confirmation text with a time that was different from the time slot the receptionist had given me. So I called and asked them to clarify. The woman on the phone then told me a THIRD time. When asked to have my original appointment time that I never asked to be changed.. they told me someone else was in that time slot and it was no longer available. I don't know what happened..especially since I had called a week prior to confirm and make sure the machine was up and running. I was told that a customer service person would call me but I have yet to receive a call. I understand things happen but, this is too much. I could've went to a more respected company and received better customer service. I guess this just shows how important it is to read reviews! read more

I am really skeptical in making changes with things so walking into LaserAway was a big move, especially on my nerves. When I entered the facility the initial service was phenomenal! I was welcomed by someone named Manny. He was very pleasant, bright, and very comforting. He welcomed me with a huge smile and was able to walk me through many services that is offered here. What a great place. Bought a Groupon for laser but then decided to have some Botox as well. Julie was my nurse practitioner. She was lovely. So knowledgeable. worst administrative staff EVER. once i showed up for my appointment and they told me that I DIDN'T HAVE ONE. then i made an appointment and they canceled it on me on THE DAY OF. then they canceled again for the SECOND TIME on the day of the appointment telling me the IPL machine was broken, but they'd comp me an extra session and let me know when it's fixed. three weeks later - still no word - i call them. they tell me that it was "just fixed yesterday" but they don't know about my comp / extra promised appointment and also they can't fit me in until MAY. i'm requesting a refund for my package and would very strongly urge you to stay away from this place. read more

I've been in New York now for 3yrs I've had laser facials and a VI peel before in the past with little results. I had the Clear and Brilliant Laser facial at Laser Away and I've never been happier with my skin. I feel like everything else I've done before was just a waste of my money Had the procedure a couple of weeks ago, no down time except for same day redness. Definitely get the numbing cream as it does get a little prickly feeling towards the end. I'm 38yrs old and started getting brown spots and adult acne. It was a disaster. After the treatment, the 3rd day my zits were gone and after a week my brown spots were barely noticeable and my pores had shrunk. I haven't had to wear foundation since. I'm more than pleased!! It's suggested that you do this procedure at least 2-3 times but I can attest my skin has a dramatic difference after 1 session. read more

They seems to give you attitude if you dont purchase the "package" which runs from $1000 up, I ended up just buying 3 sessions for 170 because thats all i ever needed. Its utterly unprofessional, especially the front desk lady who tried to sell me the package "deal". I had my Botox done here for a good price ($12 per unit) last month. I'm in my 30s now so I'm trying to stay on a regular schedule with it for prevention purposes. Staff were friendly and professional. Office was very bright and clean. They use iPads for everything which is efficient. Do not fall for the hype. I went to laseraway for ten sessions of tattoo removal. I'd assumed since the Kardashian's claimed to have used them back in the day that of course it would work (not sure why I believed the Kardashian's had even ever done anything more than be paid to promote laser away) Anyway silly me I purchased full price (not Groupon) and after the ten sessions not even my smallest (tiny star tattoo on my wrist) had barely even faded. My ten sessions were up about a month ago so two days agoI went to Step Up Skin Laser (on a groupon) and literally right after and yesterday and today there is a MAJOR difference in fading of my tattoos. After ONE visit more progress was made then all ten sessions at laser away. I honestly feel ripped off. I also should have been weary because my first eve experience at laser away was Botox in my forehead which did absolutely nothing. The staff is ok. There is usually always a wait if I'm on time but if I am even a few minutes late they have tried to cancel my appointment. I don't think the technicians actually care or know what they are doing. I would just recommend to go elsewhere for basically everything. read more

I originally signed up for a 3 service appointment and they convinced me to sign up for the extra 6. After I paid for everything they then told me I only had 6 appointments. I called several times and was told the manager would call me back and didn't hear anything. I've had issues with 50% of my appointments scheduled with them. There's been several occasions I've showed up to my booked appointments and was told I couldn't be treated. Worst service. I've also been in the office when the manager scolded the receptionist for tipping a food delivery boy. You can't afford a $10 dollar tip?? Never going back. read more

I purchased a package for laser hair removal on a small area. I've gotten laser for years and was excited to come to L.A. away after visiting the website. Although I've gotten years worth of laser hair removal and done my research, they wanted me to come in for a consultation. Before seeing anyone, they made me sign SO MUCH paperwork it was ridiculous. They try to justify this by saying their staff all has certain qualifications, but it was nonetheless ridiculous and they would not let me get around it and I was forced to create an account with them that I will never use again. During my (unwanted) consultation at the UWS location, the girl I spoke with kept me in the little consultation room for nearly 2 hours. Despite having only purchased 6 sessions of laser on a small area, she continued to upsell me on thousands of dollars worth of laser hair removal! She even started to tell me how I should get coolsculpting with them for the one love handle I have (I currently weight less than 100 lbs and my general doc was not pleased to learn about this). This girl freaked me out and I was annoyed with the constant upsell, I knew what I was interested in and she continued to tel me about payment plans I could do to get all of this laser, no thank you. After finally getting out of the consultation room, I make my appointment for my laser. The appointments were for the most part quick and easy and front desk staff was friendly. I went to the UWS and Flatiron locations. The downside.. the laser had all of the adverse effects it was supposed to! My hair has come back thicker and more coarse than before getting laser. So disappointing! DO NOT get laser on areas with thin hair, even if it is dark. After wasting all of that time, money and pain going to L.A. for hair removal, I'm now getting electrolysis and hoping that will work better. In my first appointment with my electrologist she took one look at the unwanted hair and said laser would have never removed it and I should have been told that as it was too thin by the laser technician. Thanks a lot LaserAway!! My advice- be honest to your clients about practical outcomes instead of just taking their money. Needless to say, I would not recommend. read more
