I've had a great experience here so far. I began my treatments in March (had 3 so far) and am impressed with the results. The nurses are very accommodating and go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with your results. Not very impressed with the customer service of this place. Now I'm kicking myself in the butt for purchasing a package. When I went in I was under the impression that it was easy to get appts. Since I didn't have my schedule in front of me I told them I would call to schedule my appt. When I called the person that answered kept placing me on hold and when she finally scheduled my appt it was like 2 weeks out. I also quickly realized that all their calls are answered in a call center not at the main locations. There was so much background noise I could hear the staff talking abut their personal lives and what they were planning for the weekend. Meanwhile the person I was talking to seemed annoyed that I kept asking her questions. The call center can really use some assistance in customer service. **************************************************** I'd like to update my review as the review above only reflects my experience with the call center. My experience with the Mountain View office staff was wonderful. Christine was the nurse that did my treatments. She was very professional, and super sweet. Made sure she answered all my questions and was very thorough. Valerie, in the front office was also super helpful. She was approachable, friendly, and had a great attitude. She made sure that my appointments were scheduled before I left. The treatments were pain free. I've had laser treatments before that were painful, so I was surprised to find these treatments were not as uncomfortable. Overall, I think that it's important to give credit, where credit is due. I went in for consultation and Christie set up a package "deal" for me as I repeatedly told her I can't afford it she said I can get a loan which I did and I'm still paying it today I'm in the home 11,000 after 6 sessions of each some clear and brilliant and some PLs the only time I noticed a difference was the first time all the rest was like nothing I am not satisfied cause I still have even more age spots then before when they said they would burn off they did not oh well lesson learned then vivid hit and when they finally opened up my sessions were messed up I only had a few left I didn't want to argue so u just got them over with and said it is what it is. I've been played the girls are sweet but I don't think there products and tools etc work as good as they are supposed to it feels like my face looks worse now than it did before I think them for being so nice to me it's not their fault I don't think but I am just not happy with this place I do not recommend it read more

I come here for laser hair removal. Parking is decent. I go in for 1 small and 1 medium area, and I'm generally in and out within 15 minutes, so the 15 minute spots work for me. Calling in to schedule is pretty easy - haven't had any issues with the phone not being picked up. I'm taken in pretty quickly from the time I show up for my appt. I don't like how despite me coming in to get 1 small and 1 medium area done, they only allot 15 minutes for the appt. If I'm going to pay to get 2 areas done, and pay even more for one bc it's considered medium here - I'd like a decent amount of time for my appt. I'm just sour that I had to pay extra for a lower number of treatments for my hairline along my neck because it's considered "back of neck" instead of "hairline" here. I have some hair on my neck, but I don't really care about them. I just wanted to pay for 6 towards the hairline versus more for the 3 on the back of neck. I actually came in a little late the other day. Luckily, my situation was not like other reviews here - this makes me think that the business is trying to improve. I called in to let them know that I was running a little late, and if they had something later in the day available. The woman just said that there's a same-day cancellation fee. Um okay that's not what I was asking, but alright. I kept the appt and arrived 10 minutes late. They still took me in, and the laser tech stated that her next appt was approaching, but that she didn't want me to feel rushed. I'm hoping the business took some of the complaints on yelp into consideration, and that my experience will be more common for ppl running a little late in the future. Anyways, I love their laser! This is the first place I've been lasered where they didn't have to use a gel. It's so nice, and I don't have to worry about the gel getting in my hair or cleaning it off all the way after. They aim a small red circle at the area to be lasered, and zap - done. It's mildly painful, and you can smell the burn sometimes - not too bad though. I've liked each of my laser techs so far. They're all pretty nice, and sometimes there's 2 ppl when a new person is being trained. The last one gave me a stress ball-type thing to squeeze, which is surprisingly not offered that often. There was also confusion with the hairline/back of neck area. The first tech thought it was hairline, so she only did the hairline along the neck. The next two techs saw that it was back of neck, so they did both the hairline along my neck and my neck. Appt #4 is coming up, and I'll see if I can get this cleared up then - even out the laser treatment by getting my neck done an extra time. I love, love the laser here, however appt slots should be expanded and hairline along the neckline should be considered "harline". Management should also be more responsive bc I never got a call back when I was trying to redeem my birthday reward from LaserAway. read more

Received a phone call from the receptionist 50 minutes before my first appointment saying that the laser was "down" and that I would need to reschedule. She then put me on hold for a couple minutes and then told me that she would need to call me back in about an hour so she could plan the schedule further out. I never received another call. I will be booking an appointment elsewhere. UPDATE: I received a Yelp message the day after writing this review from Barbara with LaserAway customer service saying she was sorry about my experience and asked me to email her. I emailed her twice. Once from my work email and again from my personal email in case it didn't go through. Never received a response. Horrible customer service all around. read more

After buying $4k+ worth of packages from these people and coming in more times than I can count I thought it was time to update my review. Don't give these people your money, the second they get it the service will go to shit. Every time I have come in I have been assigned a different lady to work on me (from the time before) and there is just zero consistency in the level of work. Some of the ladies listen very well, they read the charts and they are very thorough but some of them do what they want, they use the power settings they want instead of what your chart says, then they speed through the procedure leaving gaps and missed areas and then argue with you like a child when you point it out (the short white lady who looks like she hasn't blinked in days is the worst). I have requested twice to be scheduled with the same lady and worked with the scheduler to schedule me on times that she would be available but then when I get there I found out I have in fact I have been scheduled with a different person (again) so my efforts were a complete waste of time. They also forget which sections I am supposed to be having done. They will schedule me for all the areas we are supposed to do that day then when I get there I found out they changed the schedule and cut my time so now they don't have time to do all the areas, even when it's been scheduled for weeks and I am there completely shaven and ready to go. Then I have to argue in order to get the service I am supposed to get. I have also had a lady freak out because she saw my junk while doing a BRAZILIAN! Like listen lady you can't zap it with the effing laser if you can't see it!!! This hasn't been an issue for any of the other ladies why is it a problem with you? And how dare you try lecture me on decency! I hate the damn thing as much as you apparently do (I'm trans) thanks for making me feel like crap over it. They also can't get my name right. I am trans and I legally changed my name from Joseph to Jo and they have been made aware of this and my information has been changed in their system yet 3/4 of the time they still call me "Joseph" and refer to me as "he". When I first started here everything was great but it has just gotten worse and worse and worse to the point of going from 5 stars to 1 star. Not sure what happened but they need to get their act together over there. No longer a happy customer and I still have 3 sessions of one grouping and 4 sessions of another grouping to go... Sigh, can't wait to take my business elsewhere. read more

Customer service starting and ending from receptionist is horrible. I came to my appointment on Monday and the attitude and demeanor I received from the 2 ladies at the front desk especially the one that schedules appointments is unacceptable. Very aggressive and rude. I would never talk to a customer the way they do and will provide solution if there is a discrepancy instead of giving an attitude and aggressive voice and demeanor. I came in 10 minutes to my appointment due to traffic caused by accident but I had called in 1 hour before stating I'm in traffic and will be late, never did they say that if I come in late whether it's 5 minutes they would have to reschedule me. I called again 10 minutes before my time, still in. Little bit of traffic and had to ask if it's still ok to come in. I have 3 areas needed to be done that day they could at least say we can't do them all because your 5-10 minutes late but we can probably get to 1 area. Instead I was told I can only do consents and be rescheduled. I didn't drive over an hour and a half and called twice to be told I won't be seen today and next appointment available is 5 weeks out. Lastly walking out to schedule my next appointment I was told "it's not when you need to come in, it's when we're available" The truth is it does matter when you go back for sessions because you go by cycle of your hair growth and when last session was done so yes next spoon urgent date does matter. Please smile and have a more inviting personality and don't act like your ready to wrestle and fight somebody. You're sitting at the front desk, you're the first voice and face of the company. read more

The office is tiny but cute, the staff is disorganized and when it comes to checking you in, incompetent and aloof. Don't waste your money here, the prices (including their "best" specials) are ridiculous.. And I'm by no means cheap. There are so many MedSpas offering the same exact treatments and products for so much less. I'm sure the laser quotes vary, but just for reference, a 1ml syringe of Juvederm Ultra Plus is $650 here, lol. I get it for $440/syringe at a great MedSpa in SJ. Edited to adjust star rating after remembering that they also force you to come in for a "consult" to get pricing. Lol wtf is that? If you call any dermatologist, MedSpa, or plastic surgeon, they'll have no issues giving you pricing over the phone for fillers and laser treatments. read more

If you are debating getting any type of laser hair removal, Botox, coolsculpting or any of the other treatments the offer, go see Valerie!! She is amazing!! She listens to what you want and works with you to help achieve it. The rest of the staff are super friendly and all the nurses are professional and knowledgeable. This location of LaserAway is located in the brand new San Antonio residential/shopping center development near El Camino Real. As such, the offices look clean, modern, nice and new. It is fairly small, with a reception/waiting area in the front, 2 treatment rooms, 1 consultation room, and a restroom in the back. They accept all major credit cards but no personal checks. There are plenty of parking spaces in the large common lot in front of it, with the spaces directly in front of it reserved for max. 15 minute retail parking. I am not a newbie to laser hair removal, and I have to say that my experience here was better than average. A while back, I bought a Groupon that specified laser hair removal service at the San Francisco or Walnut Creek locations of LaserAway -- prior to the existence of the Mountain View (MV) location -- that had since expired before I could use the "Groupon value". Not knowing about this new location, I called the SF location and spoke with a woman who took the initiative to call the MV location for me after hearing I was down in Palo Alto. She also made sure with the MV manager that they would allow me to use the actual amount I paid for my expired Groupon there toward any service (not just laser hair removal). I am generally quite busy so when I get a manicure or some sort of service, it usually isn't for relaxation and lingering and I want to get in and out as fast as possible. This place feels more like a medical office than a spa, which I like. Service was fast, efficient, professional and courteous. The staff seemed competent, experienced and knowledgeable. Everything can be done paperlessly (yay, green). (Plus I type a lot faster than I write.) I had forgotten to fill out the new patient forms on the web prior to coming in, but they allowed me to quickly do it on their mobile netbook thing in their office prior to my appointment. That technically made me a few minutes late for my appointment but they were nice about it. No pushy sales and my follow-up appointment was booked prior to leaving. I was in and out extremely quickly. It might feel a little rushed for some, as it is obvious they are trying to get clients in and out of the treatment rooms as soon as possible. Jamie from corporate contacted me like he said below and did nothing to help. He transferred me to Christy from the Mountain View location. She spoke to me a month ago on a Monday and felt very sorry for what had happened. She promised she would have my money refunded ($698) by that Friday. I didn't hear from her for weeks. After being ignored multiple times by emails she says she missed the emails and can't get my refund to me and that she is escalating it. She then promised to call last Friday and I got no call no email. Same with Tuesday. I emailed her last night saying how disappointed I was and she finally got back to me today. She said she can't do anything and that she is sending me to Barbara from corporate. She said with Covid they changed policies and now won't give ppl their money back even though I was told when I signed up that it never expired. Even when I told the front desk people that I was moving out of state and would like a refund they assured me I could get it at any time. Extremely sad to see a company take advantage of people during covid when I've lost my job and can't utilize the package. Being lied to is the worst. I'm still hoping someone gets back to me so I can update this review with something positive but DO NOT GO HERE. The treatments didn't work and they will take your money. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE-- STAY AWAY!!! My first visit I got this nurse that didn't know what she was doing, i paid for a medium area and she refused to do it and would only do a very small area. I asked for a different nurse, and okay the second nurse was really good at laser hair removal. I've called trying to make an appointment with the nurse that was good and they refuse to schedule me with a specific nurse. Now I can't even GET an appointment because they keep telling me they will call me back and then they don't call me back?! Something about their internet going down like um call Corporate and get better internet service. This is not my first rodeo doing laser hair removal, it should not be this difficult to get an appointment with a good nurse. So I call back a 4th time and the nurse that was really good has transferred locations. I'm not sure why this wasn't originally told to me. It turns out that if they don't pick up their phone, the call gets transferred to the LaserAway in SF where they tell you they are booked for 2 months and don't know anything. Somehow I just called again and got an appointment this week. This is ridiculous how i've heard such different things from different people, they need to get their customer service together. Like there is only ONE girl at the front desk, HIRE MORE PEOPLE. Also train your nurses to not be so stingy about doing a certain area, if you've paid a ton of $$$ they should be more flexible about the area you want done. read more

I was recommended by a friend to be seen by Monika and was pleasantly surprised by her professional approach. This location is 100 times better than the San Jose location. I've gone into the San Jose location twice and both times it was a bad experience. The last time I went in for a consult at the San Jose location, the gal in the front made me wait 20 minutes for a 2 minute consultation. This location is clean and friendly. I love the nurse that does the treatments on me. She always makes me feel comfortable and asks if I'm doing okay through out the process.
