If I could give them less than one star I would. This business if you can call if that is the worst if ever felt with. They are pushy and 10x over priced. They only do virtual consultations, the first time I waiting on zoom for 15 mins and no One ever joined. Then I tried again and had to wait 10 mins before an employee joined the call. They then quoted me 4700 for treatment. They were extremely pushy on the phone, it felt like a used car salesman. I ended up going someone else and it only cost me $650 to treat the same area with the same equipment. Then us gets better, I bought a Groupon for laser tattoo removal and went back and forth for two weeks before they then told me that they no longer accept Groupon and to cancel. My services have always been great. I think this place is pretty good, the nurses are great and relatively friendly. The desk staff is ok. BUT the thing I hate the most about Laseraway in general is I feel they are SUPER pushy about packages/services. They obviously get a commission (and I presume a pretty hefty one), so if you make any sort of hint of purchasing something they are on you like crazy and keep trying to upsell you. It honestly makes me feel super uncomfortable. If the location wasn't so convenient, I probably wouldn't go anymore. They don't offer as many services as SkinSpirit, like Cooltone or Venus. Certain treatments inherently are designed in multiple appointments yet some like I have, clear and brilliant are 45 min or less appointments, which can also be designed in a plan for ongoing maintenance. I have had services done at this location over 20 times so here goes: I absolutely love coming here and always enjoy my experience from start to finish. On one of my recent visits, Jonathan went above and beyond to answer my questions on treatments and additional laser services. Although they were busy and he had to check people in and out as he was helping me, he never made me feel like I was bothering him or that he was too busy to help me. Had my second tattoo removal appointment today and it was great. The ladies at the front desk are super friendly and kind. The facility is clean and well located in the heart of the Cow Hollow with plenty of parking. My appointment was right on time. Started with 30min numbing then the actual laser treatment. My nurse was friendly too and very knowledgeable. The actual treatment took less than 10 min and I felt very comfortable with it. At the end they loaded me up with bunch of after care product what's super useful because I don't have the time to run around to get them. Laser hair removal does not work. It's been three months since I've gotten my last treatment here and now it's back to pre treatment stage. Zero follicular loss. Apparently lowest setting is used but no one will tell you. Treatment quality varies from technician to technician but I guess who cares- it does not work any way at the end of the day. read more

Updated review, it's been about 3 months since my last treatment of the clear & brilliant. I had 6 treatments once a month in a 6 month period, using the deep laser treatment for skin texture only. My skin has changed drastically! Thanks so much to Anastasiiar for suggesting this treatment for the deep grooves and acne scars I've had for years. Some have gone and some have faded drastically!! The results look even better as my skin has relaxed from the constant month to month treatments over these past couple months. I will definitely be going in for a clear and brilliant session here and there. So glad I did the 6 series treatment to start. Bait and switch. I wish I had read the other reviews thoroughly before buying a Groupon for this place. Their consultation consisted of trying to sell you a bigger package. The Groupon was essentially worthless. When I expressed that only wanted to use the Groupon before buying a more extensive package, it became impossible to schedule a first appointment. The avoidance pattern was all too obvious- either "let us check with your consultant first," "we'll call you back," "dropped" call, or the last one- "Groupons are no longer accepted at this location." Thank goodness Groupon refunded me under this "exceptional" circumstance. Such a waste of time. After this experience, I'm hesitant to try out other med spas in SF. I'm willing to pay more for a better experience elsewhere. The caliber of laser removal facilities in New York City was so much higher. read more

Sadly I have to update my review to say that my results from all the services I purchased from Laser Away yielded less than optimal results. On the last treatment of my laser hair removal the girl performing it said 'Wow, this is your last treatment? You are at such a low setting!'. When I inquired about my slow results the front desk informed me that an additional hair removal package is usually needed to see results. I have since entrusted my laser hair removal to Serenity MedSpa and it is like night and day. Don't fall for the gimmicks and pricing. Pay more and have a professional attend to your laser needs. It may cost more up front but the results come quicker and last longer. Facials as well, my IPL results were so disappointing that I complained but these are new nurses without a Doctor in house to supervise. Low voltage, with very slow increases is how they go. Your care is not individualized and while it is safer because these lasers can burn you. It isn't ideal if you are looking for true results. Sadly, Laser Away was not worth my time or hard earned money. read more
