I've held off writing this review since 2018, and recently I wanted to try Laseraway again for Botox. Did not really have a great Botox and experience in 2018. This woman in the front talked me into getting a different type of injections. She claimed they would last longer than Botox. That product she recommended didn't last more than 6 weeks. It was such a waste of money. So here we are 2021. Decided to give them another shot. I got someone who called for a "consultation". It wasn't a consultation. Let's be real, and call it for what it was. A sales pitch. The girl on the phone was super pleasant, which was nice. However, I made it explicitly clear to her, I will pay everything in full once I can make an appointment for myself (that did not conflict with my schedule). She wanted the payment right away, and wanted to schedule something on Tuesday. I have an on going doctor appointments on Tuesdays. So I would have to call, and see if I can get a rescheduled. I told her I would reach back out at the end of the weekend. She agreed. When I checked my email, surprise! I get an email saying I had to pay today. No. Absolutely not. That's just tacky, and desperate. A real consultation would, be asking questions like: What skin concerns do you have? What medication are you taking currently? Would you be able to come in for a skin analysis? So I think I'm going to go back to my mom and pop owned Botox place in SF. read more

I have made an appointment with Janet for filler at this location at 5 pm since long time ago. The store has confirmed with me three times and last time was yesterday. Today, a girl who I forgot the name called me at 3 pm to say an emergency happened and Janet is not able to see me! I can keep my appointment with Magen!!!! Can you believe how many times I was going through same situation for the last minute cancellation with this location and Los Gatos location since beginning of 2024? Do you know how many times they have been charged my appointment in another day from 12 to 2:30 then to 4:30 then canceled!!!! Do you really care about people's time? Do you have respect for customers? Do you know that people try to manage their time with work, family and... to make this appointment? It is unbelievable! As a loyal customer who sent you so many clients this situation made me so unhappy and unsatisfied. Why are all customers being threatened by text messages before appointments for late cancellation fees but there is no penalties for LaserAway towards customers for bad customer service, nurses with poor work quality and last minute cancellation call or message and so on... !!! With all laser away locations, I get greeted and helped quickly. They are strict for arrivals so don't come late as they will make you reschedule (which can be many weeks away if there no slots). You can cancel in advance without charge but up to 24 hrs before appointment. This location is in Santana row. You can park by the parking structure or the garage next to it. I'd imagine it's hectic trying to get to the appointment on weekends potentially, so I'd recommend scheduling it on weekdays or very early mornings if you can only do weekdays to avoid the rush of nearby shoppers. The receptionist was able to help me and informed me that there would be new laser away locations that would be closer to my home. Came here for laser hair removal services. Met with different nurses. They were all kind and professional. They ask me how I felt with the results so far. Some gave me ice to numb areas that are more painful to me. They offer steroid / aloe vera cream/ gel after for comfort as needed. I tell them to avoid my tattooed ombré brows and they sometime cover it up while Lasering. My sessions are only 15 mins to do Small areas like face and pits. It's great that it doesn't take long for me. If doing legs that would be considered a large area and can take much longer. Sessions get booked every 4-6 weeks depends on area I had really good results for my armpit hair removal. I used to have thick dark hair that would grow out fast every few days. I have light Asian skin so it happens to work well for lasering. It would be embarrassing and required frequent up keeping with shaving and epilating that I got tired of it. Now my hair is like 90% gone. I don't even shave really. If there's any here it's super thin now. TMI but I do kinda notice /can smell my BO more without the hair lol. I had a total of 8 sessions Now for the face, I wanted to get rid of my upper lip hair. I would say only 50-60% reduction by the end of my 10 sessions and thought I would have more gone. I still see hairs growing but it's thinner ( a big plus at least) and still need to shave/ micro plane off though. TBH a bit disappointed with results. Maybe my expectations were too high because the armpits had better results. They did say to me that facial hairs are more stubborn and you can't expect 100% hair to be eliminated. At this time, I am not included to do more facial services because it's pricey and not sure if another 1-2 session would make much of a difference (plus not sure if they will work around my lip blush). Tips If you're new to laser hair removal, make sure you understand the before and after care. First time I went I wasn't given the instructions to not pluck nor epilate them armpits for at least a few weeks/ month. You basically need hair root present for the laser to target. Also you need to plan around or avoid direct sunlight / sweating activities right before/ after laser. Also don't do a lip blush tattoo because they won't work within 1 inch of any tattoo ink so I had to wait until I finished all Laser sessions on face to finally get my lip blush In general I do want to comment that I dislike how LaserAway does not transparently show their prices for their services. They want a rep to call you and tell you the prices and then they'll tell you that they have a special deal or offer for you if you do a package. They say the more you add on the better the savings. I think it's annoying/ shady practice and you may find other laser places prices are much cheaper. However I chose LaserAway at the time because I saw good reviews online and noticed that it was a popular and reliable chain (and a friend said she went and has good experience with the brand). I believe i get grand fathered pricing for optional maintenance "package" for once a year or so lasering. I know it's their job to try to sell more services and packages. I would give the Milpitas location a zero star if I could. I had my appointment at 5.30pm today (Tuesday, they close at 6pm). I've been previously told that I'd have my appointment canceled for being 6-7 minutes late. The receptionist desk had two assistants Nadia and Nicole, who checked me in and made me wait 26 minutes to tell me that they're behind and could not accommodate me and to get me rescheduled. I insisted on having the appointment done so after some back forth they took me in. The nurse (Jasmine) took me and got me setup. She said she was using the same setting as always and started my treatment. She tested out 3 different settings on my right hand and it was too high so told me she was reducing the treatment settings, the first 3 attempts hurt a lot and left burn marks and she said it was nothing and would go away. 4th attempt at a reduced setting she continued through the rest of the Arm and I insisted the pain was getting worse. She then reduced it to a setting that felt as normal as always and continued till she finished the rest of the treatment (this session was for both full arms). Towards the end of treatment few minutes later, my right arm was hurting terribly and I was queasy. The nurse then accepted the marks were actual burns and proceeded to put aloe and lotion on it. The nurse agreed I need to visit a doctor but they couldn't take me. I was not okay to drive. As I walked out there was only Nicole at the front desk who visibly looked amused. They were closing at 6pm, it was around 6.20pm at the time they asked me to leave, see a doctor if needed and that my next appointment could be scheduled later. The nurse escorted me back to my car. I called the LaserAway number online 888-264-1525 and requested medical assistance and help to file a complaint. This was as I waited in the car for my husband to come take me to the doctor as I typed this message using my left hand. The person at the end of this line said, my director will call you back and disconnected. 45 minutes later, no call back from LaserAway and I'm waiting outside the location for my husband to take me to the doctor. This is the worst experience I've ever had. See burnt marks for reference. I will be escalating this further. read more

I was really disappointed after purchasing laser hair removal treatments again. I had service with them initially in 2015, now almost 10 years later you would expect them to have better or updated technology. This was one of the first things questions I asked before purchasing the package. I was assured they had new machines with the most updated technology. I had my first Clear and Brilliant treatment Saturday and today my face looks like this. I'm absolutely horrified. I followed all of the aftercare advice and my face is covered in bumps and I look absolutely horrendous. I called them this morning to speak with someone and they never called back. I'm just curious; is LA's motto "How can we provide the worst customer service for our clients?" Cause they've been killing it w that methodology for a while now. Been a customer since 2018 with close to $8k spent in this clinic to remove my hair. Not only the hair is not removed and I have to continue to spend money for my never ending "maintenance" treatments, I have to deal with their bad customer service too. Beware: Do not use for laser tattoo removal. This is an ill equipped laser removal company made to look competent by its pretty branding. I started tattoo removal with this company in June of 2020. I had a 2" x 2" red paw print tattoo that they could not remove in 11 sessions. I was left with scarring and hypopigmentation. I had sought removal of this tattoo because it was in a visible area, but now it is replaced with a much less desirable scar and discoloration that has forced me to wear long sleeve shirts or concealer on the area. They tell you in the beginning, specifically Miranda, that you're buying ten sessions. "It likely won't take that many sessions, whatever you don't use we will refund to you." And that "red is one of the easiest inks to erase" and that I should "have no issue removing this simple tattoo." The tune changes when you're unhappy. "Everyone reacts differently!" and "Red is one of the most difficult inks" and "You can pay for additional appointments." My favorite "We're going to send you to a different location, for your LAST session, they have a laser specifically for red ink!" Two years. 11 sessions. Left in a state worse than where I started. They have made no efforts to remedy the situation, other than comping me bleaching cream and inviting me in for "evaluation." I GOT BOTCHED AT THIS LASERAWAY. came in last year to get cool-sculpting on my stomach. walked in with my 25 inch waisted self and proceeded to get 2 places of cool-sculpting serviced. the lady who was doing the procedure told me that "i might not have enough fat" but decided in the end i would be "fine". the pain of the cool-sculpting was EXCRUCIATING for me. on the verge of tears the whole time. i asked the lady helping me if this was normal and she said that it was. decided not to proceed with my second follow up because it was such a horrible experience. fast forward about 6 months, i had developed two bulges where my cool sculpting took place. i also have a noticeable line of hardened fat that won't go away with extreme diet and exercise. grabbing my stomach in those areas feels harder, and some areas are STILL numb. this sent me into a spiral - feeling embarrassed for getting something done to my body in the first place, too scared to ask anyone about it. gained a bunch of weight and worsened my depression and self confidence. to this day i regret going to this place. bulges have gotten bigger, i've outgrown all of my clothes. recently did some research on it and my symptoms align with something called PAH. i wish the worker would have cared enough to tell me i didn't need it instead of trying to get my money and doing it anyway. i wasn't warned of the risks (verbally) and and that my body could react this way. one of the biggest regrets in my entire life. i just want my old body back. read more

I prefer this location over Los Gatos because it's convenient, newer, and I feel like they're more organized, and efficient. I really enjoy the staff here who are always so warm and welcoming. Miranda is so quick to help me with my appointments and is my go to person when I'm in need of services. My favorite nurse is Ruby because she goes above and beyond with helping me feel comfortable and she is very thorough in her work. I love LaserAway for my treatments because I can receive treatments at a fraction of a cost compared to other places. All the staff are wonderful, professional, and accommodating. I love how they have their system down where I'm in and out of my treatments a lot quicker. read more

I specifically want to review Jordan, to start. Exceptional customer service from the get-go. Jordan showed professionalism, expertise and guidance as I decided the best course for my tattoo removal journey. She has always been quick to respond, including via text and on weekends. Friendly, personable and hospitable. My experience with LaserAway has been directly influenced by my experience with Jordan, specifically. The facilities at both Santana Row and Los Gatos are clean and swanky. Tea service is a nice touch. The front desk personnel have been accommodating and kind. They help with applying numbing cream to my back, where I cannot adequately cover the the tattoo by myself. Free wifi at both locations is a perk. There's not much of a reason to review the laser process itself: it is too personalized, with regard to pain, etc. I can say that the clinic uses the gold standard laser technology (according to Jordan). The results are already showing after 4 treatments, which only makes me want to keep going. The nurses have all been friendly and appear to be well-trained. Yes, laser tattoo removal is excruciatingly painful, even for someone like myself who prides himself on high pain tolerance. I do not have enough words to describe the awesome customer service and friendliness of the staff at this location! When a representative has a question regarding your appointment, they call you as soon as they can and are very accommodating; I enjoy the ease of scheduling and the flexibility of their hours. I may have misheard her name, but Miranda was extremely helpful when giving me information about my appointment and you can tell how joyful and professional she is even over the phone. This location has great parking availability (I usually park on the lower level) and is easy to find as you just take a flight of stairs up and after a few steps forward, you end up at the door. The nurses are attentive and knowledgable. For my recent appointment, I was greeted by such a sweet employee. Ashley greeted me with a big smile and great conversation as she quickly got me checked in. To help me with the process, she offered to schedule some future appointments for me and this is something that I really saw as going above and beyond, since I did not know this was something I could do! LOVE this location. I have been to over 4 locations in the Bay Area and this location is by far my favorite! I get laser on my underarms (10 min. sessions), full legs (30-45ish min. session), and a brazilian (10 min. session). My appointment takes 1 hour to finish all 3 areas. I purchased a package that included all 3 areas (8 sessions). After completing my 8 sessions, I purchased a touch-up package of 3 more. The results are amazing! If I had to recommend just one area, definitely get the Brazilian or bikini package. Life changing! TIP: If you are sensitive or have a low-pain tolerance, you can ask the nurse for an ice pack so you can ice areas while they are lasering you. Makes the process more comfortable! If you are getting laser near/during your period, keep in mind your body will be more sensitive, so it could be more painful. My appointments are always on time and I have never had to wait. Every nurse has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. Rooms have always been clean and fully stocked with cleansing wipes, makeup wipes, lotions, and anything else needed.
