I was told about Marisa from my best friend. Her studio is very cute and has good sound and ventilation. She was welcoming and friendly. I know it can be frustrating trying to do a fill on someone else's work. My lashes were sad looking that's to put it nicely. She did a hybrid fill and it was more than I expected! I was overly impressed with her work. She listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. For a hybrid fill I was charged $70 and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend! I wanted to love Marissa's work as much as others seemed to. Unfortunately the lashes she applied started falling out almost immediately. I did not get them wet and I sleep on satin pillowcases, so I don't know what went wrong. Within a week, 50% of my lashes are gone. I gave her 2 stars because initially they looked gorgeous. It just didn't last. While she may feel that she gave me a deal, it isn't really a deal if the lashes all fall out. As you can see, there is no lash attached to the extensions that fell off. That isn't normal lash shedding, the glue just didn't hold. Removal of old lashes has nothing to do with how well the new ones hold. read more

What can I say? I had a problem with lashes I had from elsewhere; Marissa listened, assessed, and fixed them. She is a professional, she is pleasant, she is funny; anything a girl wants and needs in a lash tech. I have had my lashes consistently done for approx 5 years, after relocating I was realizing finding a new pro was harder then my state-to-state move. My only regret was not finding her sooner! Marissa is amazing! I found her via Instagram. She had a contest going on as a Mother's day special, enter to win a free microblading session. I had been flirting with the idea of it, so I figured why not. To my surprise I won. The day of the appt, I was amazed! Truthfully while i wanted to try microblading I was also scared of how the final product would be. I've never been a fan of a super heavy or overly drawn on brow. Marissa eased my mind, explaining everything she was going to to as well as explaining what my brows would look like the next day, two days later, and eventually when they settled. The session was around 3 hours, but it seemed way less. Marissa was super easy to talk to, she made me feel like I was in the company of a friend, also the procedure was absolutely painless. I was THRILLED with the final results. I went from having sparse looking brows to actually looking like I have a full brow. My brows were done almost a year ago, and this day I still get compliments on my shape and how well of a job Marissa did. I needed a fill, was searching asking girlfriends, made a few calls based on my search on yelp, found one that was flaky on her response, didn't want me to book an appt with her but told me to go on a website but her yelp review said she would not show for her appointment (scary), spoke to another gal in Camarillo that sounded super snobby. I'm glad because once I texted Marissa, she responded quickly and was so sweet, her prices are super reasonable. She got me in the following night Tuesday evening at 730, made it easy for me. She's got an amazing positive energy, sweet, and gentle with her hands. I love my lashes. Her cozy cute boutique is inside a Salon next to CVS. Plus! She does microblading too, I'm going back for lashes for sure in 3 weeks and will be considering doing my brow with her.
