they went above and beyond for us. We were heading out of state and a deer jumped in front of us totaling our truck. The insurance company wouldn't call us a tow truck-even though we have roadside assistance. Brittany came in after hours to rent us a car. She helped us when our insurance company was falling very short. The insurance company wouldn't acknowledge our car rental even though it showed on our insurance declaration. They helped us get in touch with our person at the insurance company and their supervisor to get the rental car approved before the holiday (Thanksgiving). So I absolutely SMOKED a 4 point Buck (deer) which was very rudely just chillin on the highway. I had previously driven by Lassen Auto Body and noticed they seemed to have newer vehicles in their lot which made me feel comfortable leaving my newer 2018 model Tacoma in their care, and I and went in blind. This shop could not have done more to impress. Any expectations were not only met but quickly surpassed by the awesome staff at this place. First off, the "Front desk" girl, Brittany, is not just a receptionist. Despite working up 'front' she was multitasking and doing the work of 3 people. She provided some of the best customer service I've received anywhere, shop or not. Between dealing with insurance, answering my questions/calls, clearly communicating expected deadlines, reaching out if anything changed, even quickly getting me into a rental when I needed one. She even broke down costs and took the time to research different parts options! I received a call with a whole damn list of grille options to choose from, ensuring they ordered parts and painted things in a way I'd be happy with. This is an uncommon level of customer service and I wish more places had people like this working there. The owner, Ray, seems experienced, chill, friendly, and when I had questions about a small cosmetic issue, he didn't pass me off to other staff, he came out and looked at it with me, displaying not just a willingness but an eagerness to correct anything that could be an issue. Extremely high level of care. And while I didn't really meet any folks in the back, that's obviously where the magic happened and I couldn't be happier with the fit, finish, prep, paint, and reassembly of a very sick lil Tacoma. We were towing our 5th wheel trailer from San Diego to Washington state via the 395. About 45 minutes south of Susanville, our rear window on our truck shattered (long story). I found Lassen Auto Body online. I called ahead and learned they did not have windows in stock, but offered to tape up the window for us. We pulled in, they went to work immediately, and we were back on the road in about 5 minutes. Everyone we spoke with was super helpful, friendly, and competent. Treated minorities poorly. Slow and costly to fix my bumper, which hit by deer. They charged you extra by ordering parts and picking up from dealership. Brittany, the lady, with no customer service, blaming me on hitting animal when I simply complained they don't get things done on promised time, delayed multiple time and wasted more money on rental car. read more
