The coffee is good, but my last experience was not pleasant due to the staff working at the Aspen location on Sunday, November 7, 2021. I introduced two family friends to the location only to have them accosted by the young man in the tie dyed shirt making coffee who accused them of cutting the line and tried to force them to the end of the line. I assure you my friends went in the correct door, as I followed behind them and a group of four got in between my friends and I so I patiently waited in line behind them and saw the whole thing. I tried to express how embarrassed I was to the staff for how my friends were treated, since I recommended the place when I paid for my coffee, but the other young man working refused to acknowledge that I was even speaking to him. Then the worker making coffee that embarrassed my friends walked over with my coffee and I tried to explain it to him and he just laughed and walked away. So my advice is that the coffee is good, but the workers are rude and obviously don't care about how the treat customers and won't apologize or acknowledge you when you bring it to their attention. I was visiting from Seattle and unsure about getting coffee out of state. I'm really picky when it comes to my daily single short americano and pretty much stick with drip when I leave the emerald city. My brother assured me that everything was going to be OK. So I ordered my americano and watched as they prepared it. Perfectly. I swear a small tear came to my eye! I knew by the look of the crema on top that this was going to be a great cup of coffee. I have stopped at this location several times over the last few years and the staff is always super friendly and the coffee is always made consistently perfect. It is the right temperature to start drinking right away without burning your taste buds off, and is neither too sweet nor too bitter. We have lived in Flagstaff for a few months now and live right down the street from this location. So with that said it's nice to stop on the way to work for a sandwich and coffee. The last time I was here I was told an additional charge of 48 cent would be added to my bill as a pass-thru charge for using my debit card? Stopped here for breakfast on our way to see the Grand Canyon. I ordered an everything bagel sandwich with egg, bacon, cheddar and "Special Sauce" for $4.50, awesome price. It was cooked to order and was very fresh. The atmosphere was friendly and the place was very clean. Even though the "Special Sauce" I'm guessing is ketchup and mayo, it totally worked, and It was a tasty breakfast overall. I will go back and visit next time I'm in Flagstaff. read more

I've given this coffee shop as many chances as possible. They are located in the hospital where I work, so when I need coffee, it is my best option. However, after today, I would rather drink the coffee from the cafeteria. My shift started at 6:30 this morning and I arrived at Late for the Train at 6:28. Since the coffee shop opens at 6:30 she would not pour my house coffee. When I said "You open in 2 min. You really won't help me?" Her reply was "I still have 2 min. Before I need to help you". L for the T, I used to love you and you used to love me, I think. In the past you gave me a discount for bringing my own mug, you gave me refills, you made me a sandwich and let me put it on my debit card and didn't make me feel bad about it. And now? Now you charge a lot more for a lot less. You took a bunch of drinks off the menu, raised the prices, no more sandwiches (I'm not counting the pre-made, overpriced items in the case), no more discounts and a $0.50 charge for using a debit card?! Seriously? Why? I guess you figure since you've got some kind of contract with the Pink Jeep Tours and they stop to unload tourists to buy your pricey (and admittedly tasty) coffee you can disregard the locals and all of our reasons for being (once) loyal customers. This location is really close to us so we were really excited for such a cool little coffee shop to be by us. Don't get me wrong, they have great coffee and they move fast and we will stop by every once in a while. The only reason for the 3 stars are as follows. They charge a .48 cent charge to run your debit card. Now while I understand fee's that's a bit steep and I feel that it should be absorbed in your prices. The other reason is I went in 5 min after they closed not knowing they closed so early. The door was unlocked and all I wanted to do was buy a can of coffee. I did not want a drink. They would not let me purchase because they said they were closed. I tried telling them that all I wanted was a can of coffee but they would not sell it to me. They have the best cold brew I have ever had! The shop is very nice and the baristas are super cool. I had a nice conversation with Taylor and she was very hospitable. I don't like flavored fancy pants drinks, and they make a great cup of pure joe. My friends prefer fancy pants, and they swear by Dark Skies. Our favorite coffee in Flagstaff. This location on Fort Valley Road is much nicer, in both appearance, openess, and service to the downtown one. We have become regulars on the way back from Snowbowl in the winter. Coffee is nice and strong, smooth and tasty, with extra flavor to distinguish it from the Starbucks coffee norm. The surprises are the hot chocolate and the mochas. Fantastic work with cocoa! The Mars Hill Mocha is my personal favorite in many , many years.
