Coffee was great, pasties were delicious and the service was wonderful! Perfect quiet little coffee shop for a snack and a pick me up. The variety of pastries was perfect!

I've tried a couple other coffee shops went visiting Flagstaff and decided to venture out a little bit further from the downtown neighborhood and found Cedar House! I was instantly drawn to their seasonal menu. Raegan was so sweet and helpful and willing to answer all of our questions and customize our drink so it turned out Perfect for us. We tried the pumpkin butter latte and the speculoos latte both half sweet with unsweet almond milk. Typically at other coffee shops, if I order a flavored latte half sweet, I have to compromise on the flavor and usually cannot taste it. But at Cedar House, the flavor was still strong despite not being very sweet which was exactly how I hoped it would turn out! I definitely recommend Cedar House to locals and visitors and will definitely come back next time I'm in town!

I was so happy to discover this coffee shop with such a short stay in Flagstaff. They are known to have the best pastries in town and WOW, this was no lie. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful in deciding best drink choices. They were both incredibly kind and prompt in making the drinks. I loved the atmosphere of this location- so many items to shop from and it felt like a home away from home. I decided to go with the Wicked latte and the ube did not disappoint. It was a phenomenal mix with the coconut latte. The pumpkin spice chai was unbelievable and I am going home to try and find something similar. This is a must stop location if you're ever in Flagstaff!

This is a refreshing stop for coffee. In a quaint town in Flagstaff Arizona , the place is so soothing to relax. Love the simplicity and airy space inside. The decor is mixed of modern and Parisian style. Ordered Cafe Aui Lait , Salted caramel latte , Hazelnut with vanilla cream , sausage roll is good. Overall , it is a relief to just sit and enjoy your coffee. The music selection is great. Self service. They are great .

Pastries were best ever - seriously! Perfectly flaky! Pumpkin loaf was delicious as well. My husband said his chai latte was amazing! I tried the orange biscotti latte and it was incredible! This place is so cute inside. Lots of seating. Parking lot was full, but we found street parking.

I love stopping by this coffee shop whenever I'm passing through Flagstaff! They have the best spinach and feta pastry, and their baked goods never disappoint! I tried their blondie one time and their coffee cake the next. Both were delicious! And I always opt to get their special drink! This time around it was the wicked ube with non fat milk. Never disappointed when I stop by, and I will definitely be back!

Such a cute electric shop! Phone did not eat first but my husband and I shared the sausage roll and the double chocolate muffin. The sausage roll was incredible--a big juicy sausage wrapped in a crispy, flaky, buttery croissant. I ordered my go-to sugar free vanilla latte. The espresso was very smooth and the milk was steamed perfectly. Plenty of seating indoor and out to enjoy your coffee or pastry.

Coffee was Amazing!! Ordered two lattes. The view is incredible The staff was friendly Service was quick. Peaceful coffee shop.

This is a very cute, quaint place. Be warned that I did not see a bathroom, however. Lol When you walk in there are beautiful backdrops that are very Instagram worthy to document your adventure. The staff were all very friendly and upbeat. The pastry selection was heavenly - so hard to choose just one! We ordered the sausage roll (sausage in a croissant crust) - that was tasty. The croissant was flaky and soft. Perfect texture. We also ordered the cromuffin (croissant muffin). That was a work of art. It was filled with cream in every bite and drool worthy. This place is a must if visiting Arizona.

This really cute cafe has amazing coffee and pastries! I got a pistachio latte and a spinach and cheese and a peach puff pastry. Everything was fresh and delicious! The ladies working there are very nice. Overall great coffee and pastries in the area!

If you're in Flagstaff and love supporting local coffee spots, Cedar House Coffee is a must-visit hidden gem. Tucked away with serious cozy vibes and the friendliest service, this place quickly became a new favorite. I visited during their seasonal menu drop and tried the orange biscotti latte--it was so good, I came back the next day. The flavor was smooth, bright, and comforting all at once, with that little citrusy twist that made it feel special without being overpowering. The vibe inside is super cute and welcoming--vintage frames, mirrors, and that perfect warm ambiance that makes you want to linger with your drink and just soak it all in. Everything feels intentional, from the decor to the drinks. And let's talk about the service--so warm and genuine. You can tell the people here care about what they're doing, and it shows in the energy and the quality. Whether you're local or just passing through Flagstaff, Cedar House is one of those places you're glad you found. Can't wait to go back and try whatever seasonal drink they come up with next!

What options do they have that are gluten free?

I had a gluten free pumpkin little bunt cake. This is a great place.

I am so excited that Cedar House re-opened. Since their re-opening, do they now have a bathroom for customers to use? 🚽

They have a pretty extensive menu, with everything from breakfast items to lunch options, smoothies, and plenty in between. There's definitely something for everyone. I ordered from their 2 for $14 section, which included a smoothie and half a salad. I chose the Two 88 Shake, which does have a $1 surcharge, but honestly, I didn't mind one bit because this smoothie was SO GOOD! Since they're closed on Sundays, I actually ordered one to go for breakfast the next morning! That's how much I liked it. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I asked if they could swap the espresso for matcha, and they were totally cool with it. Love a place that's flexible and accommodating! For my salad, I went with the Harvest Salad and added an order of Beyond breakfast sausage for some extra protein. The "half" salad was actually a pretty generous portion, and combined with the full-size smoothie, the $14 combo was a really good amount of food. I was pleasantly surprised by how filling it was! My boyfriend ordered the Golden State Wrap, and he loved it too. He said it was delicious! The staff were all so nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. You order at the counter, and they bring your food out to you, simple and easy. Honestly, if I lived in Flagstaff, I'd probably come here every day. It's exactly the kind of casual spot I love, good food, plenty of choices, reasonable prices, friendly people, and portions that actually satisfy you. If you're ever in Flagstaff, MAKE A STOP HERE. You'll thank me! I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!

The selection is impressive, the vibe is relaxed, and the people behind the counter clearly care about what they're doing. There's a real enthusiasm here for the craft of tea, and that kind of passion is always fun to see. That said, my one issue was a pretty important one on a cold Flagstaff day... My tea showed up lukewarm. Now normally I'm a pretty forgiving person... but when it's 40 degrees outside and tea is the entire business model, this feels like a pretty big detail. When tea is the whole menu, temperature isn't a detail... it's the headliner. I like the concept. I respect the passion. It's just a bit limiting for my taste, and the execution missed slightly on the most important note. Three stars. A cool idea... that just needed to be a little hotter.

We were greeted right away and seated inside, there is an outside patio. Our server was friendly, introduced himself, asked if we had any questions, took our beverage order and allowed us time to look over the menu. I ordered their endless coffee, my wife ordered a bottled coke that came with a glass and ice. As it was just after 10 AM, We decided to order breakfast. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy with bacon. This is served with two biscuits smothered in gravy with bacon crumbles sprinkled on the gravy and fried county potatoes. There is no strips of bacon, just a lot of bacon crumbles. The county potatoes are small (just about large cherry tomato size) potatoes that are cut in half and fried. The outside is crispy, the inside is soft and well seasoned. Perfect with the gravy. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with sausage that comes either in links or patties. I chose the patties and the addition of two eggs over-easy. The biscuits were crispy on the outside, soft and crumbly on the inside. A very well baked biscuit. The white gravy was seasoned well and delicious. One of the better tasting gravy we have had in a while, although I prefer a sausage gravy. The two sausage patties were properly cooked and definitely added to the overall flavor of the gravy and eggs (cooked properly). To me the county potatoes were the best addition to the plate as I used them to soak up the gravy and egg yolk after the biscuits were gone. I would have liked to see a larger portion of gravy and potatoes on my plate, as my wife's plate had more of both. Likely had to do with the two eggs that occupied real estate on my plate. The endless coffee stayed true to its name, I never ran out of coffee and there was both packaged sugar, sugar substitutes, three types of coffee creamer (half and half, French vanilla and Hazel nut?) Overall the service was attentive, friendly and the food was good and arrived in a reasonable time frame. I would definitely return to the Toasted Owl again.

I was visiting family in Flagstaff for the first time in many years. My stepmother and I love eating out. We had great food and great experiences the week I was there. Towards the end of my trip, we were looking for a place to have a late breakfast early lunch, also known as a brunch. We narrowed it down to two different places. The Toasted Owl was the one that we picked. I wish I could say, that we were able to eat what I heard was great food there. The hostess was nice. The on duty manager even apologized for the wait. She told me they're cleaning our table. Once we got to the table, my stepmom and I noticed, this was the wettest table ever. The menus were sticking to the table. No big deal, just a dry towel, and problem solves. I asked this young man as he was going by if he could get a dry towel because the table was obviously very wet. He said okay, came back, dropped a stack of napkins on the table. My stepmom and I both rolled our eyes and looked at each other. When he was coming back, I asked him what are the napkins for? He said they are for you to wipe down the table, and then he left. I looked at my stepmom as we both rolled our eyes again, and I said we are not eating here. I explained to the on duty manager why we were not eating there. She did offer to be our waiter, but I said politely of course, no thank you. We were both kind and polite right out of the gate. I'm wondering what was it about this young bus boy, who apparently just got promoted to waiter/server, he would have such an attitude towards us? I have my thoughts. But I'm not going to share them here. It's indicative in my opinion with what's going on with the problems in this country. People judge you for the way you look, or what you wear. But I wonder what it was, that this young man thought about us that he had to treat us the way he did? Maybe this restaurant caters to a certain type or class of people. Maybe we don't fit in that class? But who cares? I come from the school where everybody gets treated the same, with kindness and respect, regardless of sexual orientation, race, religion, political affiliation, and the list goes on. Perhaps, this young man can tell the owner of this restaurant, why he treated us the way he did? By the way, I'm being gratuitous by assuming the food is five stars, as that's what I gave it. I'm just calling the balls and strikes as I see it, one-star service from this one individual.

The biggest winner is the ambiance, decor, vibes. It is so cozy feeling and the bronze touches are beautiful. We went for breakfast. Service was fast considering there was a large gathering upstairs for the flagstaff film festival. This is not a sit and order place. You get in line and order. The line ran at a decent pace. The front has the pastries and drinks (coffee, alcohol et). We got the sweet potato bread from the front. Let me tell you! Amaaaazing. It was so soft and flavorful. It was just what I needed to pair with my coffee later at single speed coffee roasters. That is another thing I liked about this place, is they carried the local beans. Single speed is a legit good place and if you carry their beans your coffee has a great start/base. As we go to sear ourselves it's pretty full at 8:30 ish am but there was still seating. Like I mentioned earlier very impressed with service, speed considering how full it was. As we find our seating, I see the cures gelato station. I take a peek outside and it has very relaxing vibes for seating and their pizza oven is outside. We sat inside. Then went to grab water. Loved the self serve water tap because it offered sparkling . I've never seen that (I'm sure it's not unheard of), but I like the ability to just pour sparkling water if I want it. Then we had the breakfast. I had the down under with bacon. I had been craving a classic breakfast for sometime. Eggs were moist and scrambled the way I like and seasoned well. Potatoes were tasty. Toast was simple with butter but reminded me of home/childhood. Bacon was cooked perfect, not too well done or undercooked. I almost skipped out on the black beans but glad I didn't. I don't usually have beans with my breakfast but glad I did. It's a perfect small serving (maybe 2 tablespoons) that is packed with yummy flavor. I'm always afraid to be disappointed with underwhelming flavor of beans but it was really surprisingly good. I was happy with my meal Then my boyfriend had the breakfast burrito . It comes with egg, potato, green chili and cheddar with a side of hot sauce. I didn't taste his but based on the appearance and his opinion could use a little improvement. The ratio of potatoes to eggs was not proportional. It had wayyyyy too much potatoes. It's hard to eat a breakfast burrito with too much potatoes . He said the flavor was there and the tortilla was nice but unfortunately too much potato. The hot sauce was not needed. Reminded us of some type of Taco Bell sauce. Overall experience was great. It has great vibes! I would come again and do breakfast and try their dinner service in the future.
