This was so fun! We had a chance to tour the museum then walk over with our picnic gear. Such a great time and they allow alcohol :)

Hopefully, LACMA can bring this wonderful and popular concert series back soon. Here's hoping for more "Latin Sounds" in the summer of 2021!

It is a great intimate venue with lots of history and great sound. We parked about a half mile away and a public lot by the West Hollywood library, parking was only 12 bucks and it was a nice short walk to the venue and no traffic getting g out when we left the show. The event was sold out, and we got there right when doors opened. The line out front was not too long and security kept everybody moving really quick. Full bar and food inside. The main room is tiny, so anywhere you stand you will have a great view of the performers. I definitely plan to come back to see another show here, wish I had caught shows here in the past... Especially since BTS had their first American performance at this venue years ago o was a fan girl just being here. I was next door and I needed to find an atm for cash and they have an atm inside of troubadour and since their event was over, they were kind enough to let me in to use their atm.

It's located in a really busy area of Hollywood on the Sunset Strip. I've only been to this venue twice that I can think of. Previously to watch a band I really enjoyed called Two Gallants. My most recent visit was for a comedy/ music night. It was during the Netflix is a joke festival entail. The concept of the show was comedians would go on and do a 10 to 15 minute set then they would either perform or perform an instrument for a song of their choosing. The show I went to had some heavy hitters! Including Bill Burr, Nikki Glaser, Brad Williams, and Jelly Roll among others. Bill Burr played on the drums for a Beastie Boys cover. Nikki Glaser did a Taylor Swift song and a duet with surprise guest Jason Mraz. Such a cool experience. If it wasn't so hard to get to this area of town for me or find parking in the area. I think I would come here more often. Otherwise, it's a bit of a pain.

I also like how it's a smaller venue so the show felt very intimate 10/10. The staff was so friendly and helpful there was no issues entering the venue. The bartenders were so attentive and quick i had my drink in less than five seconds which was nice bc there wasn't any long lines so I didn't waist time. I also like how they had parking in the back which was amazing no issues finding parking.

I ordered a pizza that night and I do recall, it was too salty. Went back a few weeks ago with the same cousin. We got there at opening time so we had the place to ourselves for a while. We both got Vinny's cheesesteak sandwich, which honestly wasn't anything special. The flavor just wasn't there for me. I was over it after a few bites and kind of forced myself to finish half. The fries, though, were pretty good (I shared them with her since she got a salad instead of fries). I love the history this place holds and the music, but the food itself just didn't do it for me.

What happened to my beloved Rainbow? My favorite place in LA that I've been coming to for 20 years?…read moreArguably the most iconic bar in the country? Apparently, sounds like new ownership. Had been a minute since I'd last been, but came last night w/ a group. Pizza took an hour to make it to the table even though the dining room was half empty. And it was not the same pizza I remember, crust was a kind of hard and burnt. It was fine, but not the amazing Rainbow pizza of the past. Have been back here a handful of times since Covid, but the upstairs, the reason we came, was closed yet again for a private event. This is like the 3rd of 4th time in a couple years, seems to be the norm now. A birthday party, decked out in pink decor blasting hip hop. What on earth. Why are you at Rainbow? Other patrons/regulars were pissed, as were we. It's just not a reliable bar to come to anymore. There's really no point. We hung out in the downstairs bar after dinner. My friend almost **** her pants when she ordered a Stella bottle and it was almost $15 pre tip. Are we at Soho House??? Was this bottle of Stella personally filled by Brad Pitt? This place was so affordable just a few years ago. At $13 for a beer I hope we're getting stock options in the restaurant. I guess they gotta pay for those Ron Jeremy lawsuits somehow. I'm sure I'll be back at some point in the distant future, but it won't be voluntarily and I won't be looking forward to it.

El Rey Theater was a total bust! Came to see Protoje a…read morereggae artist. I had high hopes for this venue as im usually into smaller more intimate places. Concert was supposed to start at 9 with entrance entry being at 8pm. Long wait time for security to check everyone. This was the most intense security check ever. Like going through the TSA lol. They had so many rules. One being no gum. I was like seriously so not cool as I had a bunch of packs in my purse. Just had hubby take my purse back to car as I didn't want to throw away anything. Also hated that they had no smoking area for ganja as other venues do when hosting reggae gigs. We finally make it in the venue. Decided to grab a few brews. For 2 tall modelo cans 18 bucks a pop. That's the most expensive beer I've ever paid for from a can. So 40.41 for 2 beers. Absolute freaking hwy robbery. Didn't go back as at that price I could buy a 24 pack at the store lol. Plus the dude working wasn't friendly at all. On to the inside of the venue. Concert was supposed to start at 9pm. They did have a DJ but he really didn't hype us up before the main event. Didn't like the setup not inviting at all. Small dance floor & it got way too cramped. Unfortunately the show didn't end up starting until 9:35 & was done around 11.20. Love Protoje and all the music was awesome but this was one of the worst concerts. Felt very ripped off. Most definitely won't be returning or recommending. Hard pass!
