Great atmo, decent beer prices for LA. I'd come back here next time I visit the town.

So it's a dark and deep drinking spot with just a little bit of everything, but not too much. Some vintage Godzilla was playing this night. Dive bar but more for smarter folk, per Mr. bland!

It's attached to Canters Deli, so food is outstanding! Service adequate; ambiance is dive bar chic!

The drinks were made well and the staff were eager to help and responsive. I recommend getting upstairs and putting your name down early so you can have your chance to shine on the microphone! The only bummer was that this place was so poppin that my girl didn't get a chance to sing. There was also a fight downstairs while I was here, so that was fun to watch! Will definitely be coming back

There's no food there tho, so plan accordingly! Loved that there was a dance floor in the back. They were playing Britney Spears when we were there. There's also a Photo Booth. It ended up being the perfect venue for a night of live local talent--intimate, moody, and full of character. The back room where the artists play? I was obsessed. The paint peeling from the burgundy ceiling and deep red walls in that perfectly imperfect way that tells you this place has history. Wallpaper panels edging the ceiling, cozy café tables mixed with booth-style benches and chaise lounge seating--it felt like an artsy little hideaway where musicians can actually breathe and audiences can really listen. Warm lighting, sexy shadows, and even a tiny bar tucked in back for busy nights. I loved the whole atmosphere. Up front, the full bar is its own vibe--neighborhood-bar energy but with cocktails that taste elevated. I had a Moscow Mule and a Cucumber Gimlet, and both were excellent. The fact that they only use fresh, organic fruit and juice really comes through. Crisp, bright, clean flavors. My bartender was super chill and spot-on with recommendations, which I always appreciate--I love when I can lean on someone's expertise and they absolutely nail it. Even the person checking me in for the performance was great--friendly, helpful, happy I was excited to support local artists. The whole staff just made the night feel easy. I genuinely hope I have another friend perform here, but honestly I'd come back regardless. I love high-end venues as much as anyone, but there is something so special about places like this--spaces with a little wear, a little history, a lot of soul, and a strong commitment to the artists who pass through. This is the kind of spot that keeps the LA creative scene alive.

The decor is retro and glitzy and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time into a world of neon. There was a decent amount of people there for a Thursday afternoon, but the noise level wasn't too loud. We could have conversations at a normal volume and not have to yell over each other. The bartender was very personable and able to keep up with everyone and didn't leave anyone waiting to get a drink. The jukebox is loaded with most every song you could want and we played our favorites in preparation for the concert.

This is a dive bar with a solid drinks selection. My wife ordered a Coke since she wasn't in the mood for anything alcoholic. There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head. It was a funny interaction in a room full of characters, like something out of "A Confederacy of Dunces." The bouncer checking IDs outside, sporting a Santa hat, noticed my wife's upcoming birthday and wished her a happy birthday. It was a really nice touch! We will definitely be back for drinks and to people-watch the interesting characters!
