Colombian arepas (or at least the ones here) come with a sweet, corn tortilla and are more open faced: to be eaten with a fork. In the past, I've had flour tortillas that are designed more like a taco and eaten as a handheld. So despite the differences, I (and my friends) enjoyed our meal. Let the official record state, I ordered the arepas con queso with chorizo. We had plans to eat our way through Jackson Heights, but because a couple of the places we planned to visit were closed, we actually just mostly hung out here and enjoyed our arepas of the sweet and open-faced variety. My girlfriend and I shared the Bandeja Mario which was something of a sampler platter and had a little bit of everything on it.
