Very solid Colombian Cafe. Not a lot of places you can find guanabana juice (my favorite), and several other juices that you could find at any restaurant in Colombia but are hard to find here. I think it's actually the only place in Denver with Huevos Pericos! It's a cute little storefont, and the employees are very nice. There's also naturally a lot of gluten free options because Colombian menus aren't as gluten heavy. (I'm not sure that it would be free of cross contaminates though). read more

Cute little coffee shop serving up delicious Colombian drinks and treats. I ordered a Pastel de Guava and a hot latte with cinnamon powder. The latte was a perfect blend of coffee and frothy milk, sprinkled with cinnamon powder. The pastel de guava paired well with my latte. The bread was warm and soft, and the center was filled with the slightly sweet guava. I stopped in for an afternoon coffee. With it being my first time in, I walked in about 10 minutes to close. I try not to do drop in so close to closing time so I asked if it was okay that I order. The staff were welcoming and friendly and I didn't feel rushed at all. The cafe has a nice selection of pasteles & breads, offering both savory and sweet options. It's a small cafe but a very cozy place to enjoy a coffee and a snack. With so many different choices, I cannot wait to go back. read more

Me and my wife got there 20 minutes after 2 pm and it was already closed (we didn't check the hours ‍), but the guy at the register saw us standing and came to open the door and let us in to buy a few things to go, that is what I call "great service", thanks a lot for letting us in. Just discovered the cutest Colombian Cafe in Broadway! @latintocafe opened in February of 2023 and it means "Black Coffee." Owned by the same guy who brought Denver @lachivacolombian the gracious Don Jorge. The cafe is just across the street from the restaurant and offers the most amazing breakfast dishes and warm service from Alexis and everyone. The traditional Colombian breakfast options were delicious, and the Caldo de Costilla with its clear broth, beef, and potatoes was a standout. The Denver Omelet and freshly baked bread were also fantastic! And I can't forget to mention the addictive bread in the basket and the perfect hot Aguapanela for a cold morning. The La Tinto specialty Latte was equally delicious and pretty. By 9 am, the place was already full, and it's no wonder - it's worth braving a snowstorm to visit! Featured: Coffee (Brewed coffee. Amazing Colombian cafe. My fiancé is Colombian and this is his favorite place. Before we started dating, I had never had Colombian food, and now I am a huge fan! This is a must try for all people!! They have a beautiful cafe with lots of seating. The bakery case when you walk in is so tempting with all different kinds of pastries. Even if you come to just grab some pastries to go, you will blown away. We usually start with a maracuja (passion fruit) juice made with water (but milk is even more of a treat). We split a tamal - amazing, lots of flavor, lots of chicken and not try at all! And we split caldo de costilla - tender beef rib, potatoes, cilantro & tons of flavor. My absolute favorite thing to have are the almojabanas. Theyre the best texture with a sweet and salty cheesy flavor. So good with coffee or hot chocolate. Very helpful & friendly staff. Easy street parking out front. Overall, this is a must visit!! Such a treat to experience authentic Colombian food in Denver. read more

La Tinto is the place for Colombian treats-- the cafe is cute with space to gather, and all their offerings are displayed in the front counter. The balance of sweet and savory is perfect--from guava & cheese pastries, the yucca-flour based chewy pan de bono or almojábanas, to the empanadas. I got some goodies to go but ordered the empanadas heated. These were a perfect lunch before finishing the rest of my errands for the day. A sister spot to La Chiva, this is a casual cafe-focused concept serving some great Colombian snacks and breakfast dishes. My Colombian husband was excited to check this place out upon hearing they opened last week. We made our way for breakfast today and had a solid experience! We ordered a bunch to share: tamal, beef empanadas, a tequeno, a pan de bono, lulo juice and orange juice. It all came out to about $40. Everything hit the spot! I think the pan de bono could've been a little lighter but besides that, everything was just like I would expect. I'd definitely love to come back and try more of the menu including the arepas and calentao. Don't expect a full blown coffeeshop menu when it comes to coffee itself, but they have your basic lattes and espresso, as well as hot chocolate which is a Colombian favorite. There's a good amount of seating both at the front and in the main dining area. As it's right on Broadway (across the street from La Chiva), you have to take your bets with street parking. All in all, happy we came and would definitely swing by for a snack or take some things to go! read more

Quaint place with a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of snacks to choose from with the options for a few breakfast meals. Service was quick and friendly and we got our food quickly. I really enjoyed the pandebono, veggie empanada, and mozzarella arepa. Everything was served hot and fresh and tasted divine. The empanadas are small so keep that in mind when deciding quantity. I also ordered a campesino coffee and it was quite delicious. It's a black coffee sweetened with sugarcane juice. Very tasty! Only complaints I have is that we were handed two differently formatted menus, which were both different from what showed on the online menu so that was a little confusing. And we ended up sitting for a long time after we were done waiting for our server for a check but then realized we could pay up front. Overall, we will be back! read more

As years-long enthusiastic patrons of La Chiva, we've been dying to try LaTinto. We thought lunch before the Copa America finals would be a great time, but boy were we wrong. The place was excruciatingly hot (with no fans or even warnings at the door) and the service was simply abysmal. Our server never smiled and didn't react to our many pleas for water, even though we had our child and I am very clearly *super* pregnant. I almost passed out in there and never once did anyone come to help or apologize or anything. My Mom and husband had to go and find water for me multiple times. Our food was delayed by about 45 min. No one ever came to our table to say anything. They could have offered us something from the bakery and made more money, but nothing. I was surprised that they didn't come to inquire if they could bring anything for our 2 yr old. I was dehydrated and overheated from the experience for the entire day after. I spoke with the manager who was apologetic, but who made excuses. I explained that we were paying customers and we shouldn't be fearing for our health while being ignored entirely by his staff. The only reason this is getting 2 stars as opposed to 1 is because the pandebono was delicious and gave us both major nostalgia to our Colombian upbringings. I'll go back to pick up pastries, but I'll never do sit down dining here again. read more

MUST come to this place if you're in Denver! My favorite cafe of all time! Best coffee, best baked goods! The lattes are absolutely incredible, I often find a lot of coffees to be too acidic or too sweet but they have the smoothest most miraculous blend. The best coffee I've ever had in my life! Best gluten free options in Denver for baked goods hands down. Naturally gf the Colombian cheese based doughs are amazing, from pandebono, to buñuelos, and empanadas, you can't go wrong with anything, but my favorite is the empanada de cambray (stuffed with guava and cheese). Service is amazing, super quick as well. Alex is especially wonderful and brightens my morning every time I visit! read more

¡Qué berraquera! The South Broadway space formerly occupied by La Chiva (which moved right across the street) is now home to another spot you and your "parche" will enjoy, from the same owners! So let's have some Colombian comfort food at LaTinto Café. Kick things off with a coffee ("Tinto" in fact is Colombian slang for a sweetened cup of black coffee) or refreshing fruit juice (available with or without milk and in options such as Mora (blackberry), Guanábana (soursop) or Lulo (naranjilla) while you have a peek at the delicious pastries on offer. On a very recent visit, I availed myself of quite a few of these latter items, as it turns out. One of my favorites, the humble Buñuelo, is a gorgeous globe of cheese and cassava flour especially popular at Christmas time. Meanwhile, Mogollas (sometimes termed Acemas) are puffy buns redolent with the unmistakable aroma and flavor of cane sugar (Panela). LaTinto's chicken puff pastry is a sturdy, meaty wonder capable of helping dull the fiercest hunger pangs. And those of you with a sweet tooth will enjoy one or more of their guava-and-cheese offerings (like the Empanada de Cambray, a particular specialty of Valle del Cauca in western Colombia). But that's not all you can find here of course - so let's dig a little deeper. Sure, their sister restaurant may be known for phenomenal lunch and dinner plates, but what about breakfast? Well, LaTinto is here to plug that gap - yes indeed! Changua is a hearty milk-based soup from central Colombia with an egg cooked into it and sprinkled with a generous helping of green onion (pro-tip - it's also known as a hangover cure [hic!]). If you're in a more carby, meaty frame of mind, the Calentao is sure to satisfy, with its ample portions of - for example - rice, beans, Arepa (corn cake) and chorizo sausage. Or, perhaps you'd prefer one of their sizable plantain-leaf-wrapped tamales, packed with pork, chicken, peas, potatoes, carrots, and the tomato/onion mixture called Hogao and steamed to perfection. If someone in your party is looking for something a bit more familiar, the eatery's take on a Denver omelet adds zucchini and mushrooms to the more common ham, cheese and peppers for a memorable twist on a classic item. Service was helpful and really kind but it did take a while to have someone check on us if we needed anything. We had to flag someone down for the check. Wowowow just moved to the area and checked out this cafe with a friend. We met up around 8:30am on a Wednesday and had the place to ourselves. The staff was super friendly and explained many of the dishes and pastries to us, it was my first time to a Colombian cafe! I don't usually drink normal coffee but really enjoyed the taste. My friend's special latte was super tasty too! She got a special empanada too with chicken, beef, and yuca! So moist and juicy with the yuca! I got Huevos Pericos, very tasty but a small portion for the price! The Bunuelo cheese ball was super tasty and cheesy and doughy. Overall I thought the drinks and the pastries were super hot, tasty, and very reasonably priced. I got a Roscon de Bocadillo (guava stuffed bread) which was huge and freshly baked for only $3.00! By 10:45 the place really filled up, lots of natural lighting and plants. Such a vibe! Will be back and tell all my friends about : ) read more

My husband and I are from Florida but love to travel to Columbia and have been there a few times. The thing we love most about Columbia is their food and boy did this place DELIVER! First off, this cafe is beautiful and charming inside. The campesino coffee was incredible, sweet but not too sweet. The food? Absolutely delicious. It was confusing on how to enter the place, but very pretty inside with wood floors and brick walls. Unfortunately, the blazing sun in the morning window made my experience sweltering. Definitely a euro vibe with super slow service so don't be in a hurry. Always a concern when there are 10 tables and nobody, absolutely nobody, had food on the table. Once the order came, though, the bread was very yummy. My eggs were delicious and so was the sausage. The morning wasn't that hot out, so I cannot imagine what the broadway location will be like once summer really sets in. Maybe install some fans and pass out ice water, so that your customers don't pass out. read more
