My husband and I dined here on 2/14. We had a reservation for 6 and we were seated at 6:15. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Valentine's Day. I forgot our server's name, but she provided wonderful service. She let us know that the kitchen was busy, but our food would be out as soon as possible. We started with the calamari and cream of crab soup. The calamari was the best I've ever had. The cream of crab soup was good, but it had a bit too much sherry. Food and service leave a lot to be desired with the view being the restaurant's best attribute. Immediately upon being sat we noticed the menu had shrunk in size since our last visit (just over a year prior) which in theory, would be great for fast and efficient service. It took a while for our server to greet us even though he appeared to only take orders, deliver drinks, and deliver the check while food delivery were handled by a dedicated food runner. Our starter, the crab avocado stack was beautifully plated. The sweet remoulade overpowered the naturally sweet blue crab and the crispy wontons were tasty but were very oily. The beet salad had an excessive amount of raw white onions on top, but the mixed greens and beets tasted fresh. The middle of the flatbread was undercooked which was more soggy than crisp with what tasted like an unseasoned can red sauce. The Mahi Mahi Rachel was unique spin on a standard Rachel sandwich. The blackened Mahi was just okay and oddly enough, the mouth feel of the Mahi was indiscernible from the slaw. I was a bit taken back that the slaw on the Mahi Mahi Rachel contained golden raisins and what looked like cranberries - neither of which were called out on the menu. We decided to take a day trip up to Annapolis out the city. We saw a sign stating this place was open and decided to try it out. It's further down the harbor a bit further from the other restaurants and the door is hidden a bit behind the construction but it's worth the find. We got the crab cakes and crab dip. It had a lot of lump crab and barely any filler, which is always a plus. They also had key lime pie, which is one of our favorites and the size was massive! Highly recommend. read more

I've known this location since it served as the temporary restaurant for the AYC (post-fire). The off-water location continues to make it less attractive than other downtown options. At the time of this review, there is also major construction at the front of the property (as Annapolis builds a new waterfront park) ... So, we visited for happy hour pricing, rather than waterfront views. Still, the restaurant fell short :-( Happy Hour menu has been whittled down to non-premium beers (no IPA) though there are rail drinks and limited wines (no Rose). The upside is it's not that busy! The food options are okay -- the Tuna Stack was excellent, but the large Oysters Rockefeller were (tasty, but) served like warm and the crab dip was more dip than crab. Happy Hour prices are good, but not enough to keep me coming back for more. Maybe we'll be back post construction to see Annapolis' new waterfront park. read more

We went on a beautiful Friday night and were seated quickly in the area that has the open windows, it was really nice because you could see the water from our table. Our waiter Hayes was awesome, he checked on us frequently and gave good recommendations. The crispy calamari we ordered for an appetizer was very good. My family and I went there to celebrate Mothers Day for my wife. We had a party of 6 and did the brunch buffet. I had gotten emails with comments like downtown Annapolis, our scenic waterfront setting is the perfect place to treat Mom. I'm sorry that this was the worst experience my family had in any annapolis restaurant. My wife slipped on a rug that was hanging over the step but to make it worse, the 4 or 5 staff that were standing there didn't offer to help her up or ask how she was. The food was on the bottom floor shoved in the corner. The plates looked dirty. The service was terrible, our person complained about the rest of the staff. Other patrons there were as unhappy as we were. At the price point it was no where close to being a place I would recommend or go to. If I could go lower than a 1 star I would. read more

Here's how it went: 1. Atmosphere: The interior felt more like a banquet hall or ballroom than a cozy dining spot. Service: * Our waitress seemed either very new or poorly trained she couldn't answer basic questions about the menu. * I ordered a blueberry lemon drop, and she came back saying the bartender was confused and thought I wanted two drinks. That was strange any experienced bartender should know what a blueberry lemon drop is. 3. Food: * Crab Dip: Fluffy texture, but tasted mostly like cream cheese with barely any crab flavor. * Fish Tacos: Underwhelming. The fish tasted undercooked and lacked seasoning. * Onion Rings: I received two completely different types of onion rings. The food was good, I really enjoyed it. I feel like the service was really good. Especially for the gentlemen that had us, because we we had a larger group. We all ended up having to sit upstairs because it was a lot of us. The drinks were not my favorite part as I couldn't get andonal Palmer, because something was going on with the tea. So I ended up having to get something else. But he worked with me to find something that I would like. I had a caesar salad and some bang bang shrimp. My wife and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. We both ordered the bottomless mimosas to drink. $12 for bottomless mimosas is an absolute steal! We ordered the Bang Shrimp as a starter and it was absolutely delicious! It was also the perfect size to share for 2 people. For entrees I ordered the crab and lobster omelette and my wife ordered the Maryland Benedict. Both of our entrees were absolutely amazing! The food was very good. Given that I am from Baltimore, home of the Atlas Restaurant Group, I was expecting so much more from this Annapolis Atlas Restaurant Group establishment. I feel that in Baltimore the Atlas restaurants are held to an extremely high caliber, but Latitude 38 missed the mark and was nowhere near the level of its Baltimore sister restaurants. The first place the establishment fell short, was no AC on a 90° plus day. Therefore, only one portion of the huge restaurant was open and that was the main dining room area. The hallways HOT, the bathroom HOT, it was a scorcher in there. The place wasn't packed at all and there were a lot of staff just standing around. Our server was inattentive, he only took our order and then came back to check on us but by that time we needed the check. He spent a lot of time having casual conversation with a neighboring table-unprofessional. He also forgot about a drink we ordered and the food runner actually ended up serving us the drink. I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo which was more of a Cajun chicken Alfredo. You'll be able to tell by my pic that the chicken definitely wasn't blackened. I'd suggest updating the description to Cajun not blackened. There was also way more chicken in the dish than pasta and only about 4 broccoli florets in the dish. The garlic bread which accompanied the dish was tasty. All in all, based on this experience, I don't see myself going back. Cheers to a great time! read more

We wanted a really nice night out and this seamed like the place, right on the water, great menu, nice ambience. What really made it stand out was the staff. I asked if we could have a birthday desert for my best friend and he said that they didn't do them anymore like they used to. But then he asked his manager and she said she would do it! It made her so happy!!! And I really appreciate that they both went above and beyond just to make our night special. The host also made our party size work last minute which was great of him. I will say, I was not blown away by the food. Not the best place on the square food wise BUT the best vibe wise. The Easter Brunch was absolutely horrible! The food was pretty much disgusting. The deviled eggs had shell fragments on them, the chicken tenders were frozen and just heated up, the lamb chops were pretty much all bone with a slither of meat, the beef tenderloin at the one carving station was so tough if was like jerky. My best friends, their kids and I came to the Waterfront looking for some good foods! The hostess' were super nice and seated us as we all arrived after fighting for parking. We were seated upstairs. Our waiter was pretty good. Foods took a bit to get to us. He was working the larger tables so we didn't see him as often as we would like. Child 1- apple juice(so glad they had this) with hot dog and fries; ate the hot dog and the bread was too hard for her to eat; maybe a brief toasting would be better; fries were pretty good Child 2- sprite; regular bacon cheese burger with fries; said it was ok Child 3- Shirley temple with cream of crab and a crab cake sandwich; cream of crab was missing something but it also came out warm; crab cake sandwich came out hard a rock; as it was inedible she reordered the grilled chicken smokehouse burger which was delicious Bestie 1- oyster Rockefeller and grilled chicken smokehouse burger with fries; both were delicious; the oysters were cooked perfectly; thoroughly enjoyed her burger with bbq sauce Bestie 2- spicy margarita with salt rim was perfection; mussels were not good and came out warm-just wish there was more flavor and cans came out hot ME- I ordered the lobster roll with hot, burn your mouth fries. Lobster roll was smaller than I imagined but ok; and the fries were... WARM. I was so disappointed. I prefer hot food when I eat. My biggest problem was receiving warm food. We had a little day date at Latitude 38 Waterfront and had a really nice time! Not only was the food great, the music playlist had me groovin' in my seat the entire time! I made reservations for an early Sunday dinner on Memorial Day weekend and since it was a holiday weekend, it was a task trying to find parking in the restaurant parking lot. Luckily after several circles around, we landed a spot. We were promptly seated as we approached the hostess stand. To be honest, the ambiance is less than desired. Pretty glum, if you ask me. We must be missing a floor, because the website had pictures of tables with white table cloths and looked pretty fancy, this was nothing like that. While sitting, I noticed the servers constantly dragged chairs and tables around the floor to accommodate the various parties to be seated (which was highly annoying). No one ever thought to actually pick up the chairs and tables, but whatever. The restaurant has a open and airy flow, so we were seated inside, but it was almost like we were outside. We were also overlooking the parking lot. Kind of a weird view. We ordered the crab balls for an appetizer and I ordered the seafood pasta. Both were phenomenal! I'd order both in a heartbeat! My pasta had giant shrimp, crab, and lobster in it. I also ordered mojitos, a strawberry and lime one. They were also pretty darn good. Luckily, it was an overcast day and not hot, nor humid. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to sit where we were seated, since it was such an open area. Service was solid and the price point was pretty standard for this area. Not impressed at all with this place. Went to eat on a Monday at lunch should've known by the fact that maybe one or two couples were actually eating in the place that this was probably a bad decision on my behalf. We were a table of eight seated all the way away from everyone else Upstairs. Let's start off with a drink order. Drinks were taken including alcoholic beverages, 15 minutes later the alcoholic beverages showed up and shortly behind that the drink showed up. It's not like the place was busy and our server just happened to have someone following her around, not really doing anything at all. Next came the orders, the menu has a great variety of dishes, including seafood, steaks, and even chicken. We placed our orders and patiently waited for what seem like forever for our food to show up. Again the place was completely empty yet our french fries were cold, including 90% of the entrées. The food tasted stale and the service at this point was ridiculous. Not even seeing the waitress once since the drink orders were placed we had to request additional beverages rather than them just refilling them as they were supposed to the food was disgusting flavorless and cold I'm not sure how this place is going to stay in business with this type of attitude towards their customers. I saw servers standing around doing nothing or lollygagging in the back near the bar. The manager really should take charge of his people and ensure that quality service is being given to their customers. The people of Annapolis are only gonna take this crap a few times before the business is shut down due to lack of customers. read more

I took my mom here to celebrate her birthday. We came for Sunday brunch. It was very tasty. The service, food, and ambiance was perfect. My mom was very happy (good daughter rooting for me ) I got the shrimp and grits, it was so good, I ate ALL of it! Does have a Cajun spice to it , which I love but be aware of. 10/10 My son (5) got the kids French toast m, that comes with bacon or sausage, and we ordered a side of eggs. He ate it all as well, with a little help from me 10/10 My mom got the shrimp and crabmeat omelette. The crabmeat was a little lacking and she wasn't a fan of the type of cheese that was in it (goat cheese I think) but it came with potatoes and toast. A great dinner can be had at Latitude 38 in Annapolis, MD. Recently I had the privilege to try a few of their dishes including a Limeade Crush and a Orange Crush drink. Dinner included appetizers of Calamari and Peel & Eat Shrimp which was simply divine. A Cream of Crab soup was an excellent choice for the warm up. The main course was a superb crab cake sandwich, and Blackened Seafood Alfredo. The only complaint was that lobster in the seafood alfredo was slightly rubbery. Our server Ryan was very attentive as he did an absolutely awesome job. The dining experience was excellent. The overall rating is a 4.2 out of 5. I definitely recommend this spot. read more

This was perhaps the worst experience at a restaurant that I have had in twenty years. We waited over 90 minutes to get our food and when it started to come, the plates came in ten-minute increments. The drinks took thirty minutes to arrive, were overly sweet and couldn't have the ice amount adjusted in them. The prices were absolutely illogical: my salad was $20 with no protein. To add grilled chicken on any salad was $15 and to add broiled crab was $25, while a buffalo chicken sandwich that came with fries cost $22. Several of the dishes had to be sent back because they were inedible (note: they did comp us for them). Part of what made my salad so awful was that they decided to pile a large mound of fried dough (aka caramelized onions) on it even though it was not part of the description. They also drowned it in dressing. Another person in my party got the chicken piccata, and the sauce was completely congealed, the roasted garlic mashed potatoes were sweet and the asparagus was unseasoned. The coconut rice was a pile of white rice with coconut piled on top. The scallops were overcooked. The ambiance was stark, almost as unique as a college cafeteria. On a positive note, the bread wasn't stale because there was none. read more

My wife and I travel to Annapolis every few months for fun and food. This visit we decided to try a different restaurant to eat at. We were very happy with our visit to Latitude 38. The service and our waitress Nylah was excellent! We very much enjoyed the ambiance and decor of the place overlooking the water. Our Food for the most part, drinks, appetizers, entries looked beautiful and tasted very good. I ordered the lobster roll, it was the only thing that was not as excellent as everything else. After careful thought I was able to determine that some of the lobster was overcooked. Half was perfect, looked right, tasted right, but the other half was tough, (like fake lobster) just not very good. I am getting old have have eaten lots of lobster in my life, but when overcooked it can disappoint the entire dish. For a top-notch seafood restaurant at a town known for great seafood I was more shocked then anything else. Nylah offered to take the dish back and get me something else, but I said no because I was getting full from all the other excellent food. My wife and I agreed that we would return again to Latitude 38 and a future date, just not order that dish. read more

The Bad_ in reference to the manager._ _ We arrived at 5pm and reserved booked__ for the Ego Room. Granted it was busy. We said at reception we were reserved book for this special 4th dinner. Sadly awaiting, while others who had not booked were getting in first. Finally after a little prompt we were taken to the first level, but __not to the "Ego Room" as reserved. Instead placed at a tight seated table on the first floor and then the staff forgot us for 1 hour! It was hot and no water on the table! I decided to prompt attention, from a second try to attract staff! We were apologized too. Finally we were assigned 'Huck' five minutes later. He was good natured and left him a 30% tip, but that did not excuse the 'poor service' at start, and excluded us from the Ego Room! 'Not happy' is the message to the manager of Latitude 38. We went there for Thanksgiving because we wanted to try the Thanksgiving buffet and seafood buffet. The food was just okay, and there were stations on each floor which was great, but if you wanted any carved meat, there was only one station, and you had to go all the way down to the first floor (we were seated in the third floor). Our waiter was very nice, but the service was not that great. A few times we had to track down our server to even get water because he never came back after he said he would bring us waters. He was at the next table getting ready to get the check for that table, and my daughter had to stand by him to get his attention so we wouldn't lose him again. Maybe this place would be good for just a regular dining day, but it was not a place I would recommend right now. read more

Decided to eat here on a whim during a day trip to Annapolis, and it did not disappoint! Great atmosphere on shaded open air porch with ceiling fans, looking out at the yachts coming in and out. I ordered the Fish Wrap, it was stuffed full as could be and was a delicious melange of flavors. My son got the Fish n Chips platter and said it was one of the best Fish n Chips he has had. The crabs were alright. Not particularly big or seasoned well, kind of dried out actually. Service was very good and attentive. We stopped in this evening for a bite and a drink before we went on the sunset cruise. We were seated quickly, but no wait staff came over to greet us. After about 10 minutes, I asked a server who was in charge of our table, and she said she would find our waiter but was happy to get us water to start. She returned and said she could not find our waiter and was happy to take our drink order. Sydney, our server was wonderful!! She jumped in and took our order, and checked in on us several times. I had the beet salad - which was more like a side salad with some beets in it - nothing special. My husband had the fish tacos with a cucumber side salad. He said both his tacos and salad were delicious. Drinks were ok. My dirty martini was good, the old fashion was meh.
