Spicy margarita by the pool.

So we just had service at the pool and only drinks. Drinks were awesome and service was excellent. Crowded but they have lots of attentive staff

We enjoyed great views and excellent service on this hot Tuesday afternoon. We ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken teriyaki and (Ramen) noodle salad. Both arrived promptly from our attentive waiter. I thought the salad was excellent, with a sesame vinaigrette that was flavorful without being heavy. The cheeseburger was tasty, cooked almost correctly (my dining companion wanted it medium (pinker in the middle - this was closer to medium well), but appropriately sized for the bun. The fires were tasty, but not as crispy as we like them. Overall, we thought the experience merited a solid four stars, as the views from our harbor side table were beautiful, and the breeze off the water was much appreciated on this 90 plus degree day.

Smoked Fish appetizer... It was a little sweet, but good!

They just opened for the season and have some bumps to iron out in seating and service. Ran out of oysters by mid lunch. Argh. Tables sat dirty for a while. Food was overall OK (but we were also starving). Maybe because the kitchen was running slow/behind, but people seemed to stay at tables for a long time. A family of 6 next to us were there for nearly 2 hours for lunch! So expect to wait for a table -- if you can pin down the soft-spoken host to scribble your name on a note pad. He seemed green, scattered, and unsure, which made us fret that he would give away our table while we waited down the dock for 30 min. I would go again but give yourself plenty of time and patience.

On our first night in town, we enjoyed an early dinner on the outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful view of the dock/harbor. I enjoyed the fish and chips and a pomegranate martini. We didn't have a reservation but there was an available table when we came over from the pool around 5pm. It was a great welcome to the area. Separately, we ordered drinks from the poolside bar a couple times. Both the mudslide and the piña colada were awesome and Lance was great! (visited 8/6/21)

Kathy Bate's yacht parked outside the patio. This was our view from where we sat.

My wife and I stayed at the Wentworth for 4 days. The hotel, due to COVID was ehh... I did not have high expectations for this restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. All of the staff were outstanding and very friendly. The food was also very good. The view was unbelievable. Our waiter and I apologize I don't remember his name made our night awesome. We had a sample of many things from the menu. The fish taco's and the fish dip was really fresh and tasted wonderful..

One of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. This adorable chic restaurant is located at Wentworth by the sea resort. Definitely sit outside on the patio on a nice day, the view is beautiful. The waitress was very sweet. The mimosa was good. The bread they bring out at the beginning is nicely herbed. My lobster roll was so light yet creamy. Huge bits of fresh lobster. The bread was toasted well and buttered nicely. I enjoyed that the filling was on top rather than put in the center. The Cole Slaw was very healthy and also light on the mayo which was perfect. The pickle was homemade and not from a jar. Tried the salad and the dressing was tangy and worked so well with the lobster. Overall very satisfied with the service, food and view of this restaurant.

During my last visit to the Portsmouth area, I got to experience a mighty cool dining spot called Latitudes. Try and visit during the early Summer to early Fall as that is when they have the outdoor seating open. Great views overlooking New Castle harbor. Food is prepared well, any appetizer is delish. Try the Cobb Salad with Lobster since they put a huge amount of Lobster on it. I found myself saying, "She's got huge...tracks of land..." when it arrived. (Compliments to anyone who gets the reference) A bit pricey, but well worth the indulgence.

WOW - this is the more casual dining experience at Wentworth by the Sea. Beautiful views, great service (thank you Maddie) and delicious food. The lobster roll was enormous and the scallops were divine.

Gorgeous setting. I suppose you're paying a bit for that. So be it. We had Sunday Bloody Marys (delicious & just right spicy). Then she had fish tacos and I had fish & chips. My F&C was perfect. Loved the crunch and super moist. Her tacos were generous to say the least. Both came with fries which are often just taking up room on a plate. These were fantastic!, seasoned and sprinkled w Parmesan. They were very good. Sadly our dessert was out of stock so we passed. My only criticism is the cost of a rather small Bloody Mary $13. It's way too much. I thought it was well made but I would not order again (or any cocktail) for that reason. Did not have it, but the lobster roll that went by looked worth every penny. Will try that next. Our server, Conrad, was terrific, attentive & pleasant. Did I mention how great that deck is?

Great restaurant with ocean views. Food is not fantastic, but you go there mainly for the fresh air and views.

They offer full service dine-in and takeout. This place is not to be confused with another Great Island Eatery in Maine. For breakfast, they serve breakfast sandwiches, acai bowls and coffee. For lunch/dinner, they serve up salads, sandwiches, fish tacos, crab cakes, lobster rolls, fried seafood plates, chicken tenders, hot dogs, shrimp cocktail, oysters, and cold drinks from the cooler. They also serve Memories Ice Cream, beer, wine, liquor, and mixed drinks. The prices are moderate high. The seating areas are open air (seat yourself) with covered table seating in the eatery, adjacent patio table seating, a canopy covered table seating section along the waterfront and adjacent picnic table seating. I stopped by Great Island Eatery (NH) for a quick dinner. I sat myself at a table in The Eatery since the waterfront seating was full. I was given a laminated menu and a plastic cup of cold water. I went with the Fish & Chips ($19 plus tax), which came out to me about 6 minutes later, served in a paper takeout box with plenty of crispy salted golden fries (small pieces), house slaw, a good sized piece of deep fried haddock and lemon wedge. The haddock was hot and had a very crispy oily light breading (panko), dipping into the provided tartar sauce. There was also a ketchup squeeze bottle at the table which I definitely needed for the salted fries. The shredded slaw had a vinegary taste and pretty decent. After I finished everything, the server arrived with a Square portable electronic payment block which you pay for your check by card electronically. The check total was $20.62 with tax and before tip. Overall, the fish & chips were pretty good and I had a great view of the waterfront, even from my seat in the Eatery. NOTE: The nearby gravel/paved parking lot configuration is very short-sighted and poorly thought out, by limiting parking for folks who only want to patronize the waterfront marina restaurant outside of a gated parking area for marina members with plenty of open spots. It was difficult trying to leave as folks waiting to park were blocking exiting vehicles.

I first heard of this location while looking for restaurants in the area on a bike ride recently…read more With such mixed reviews, I hesitated to give it try. So glad I did! Fantastic experience, all around. I met two college roommate friends for lunch on a summer Monday. It was a perfect place for a beautiful day on the water. Note: there is a members gate at the parking lot. Park in any designated restaurant parking spot and walk down a short distance to the restaurant. Restrooms are housed between the parking lot and restaurant. Seating is all outside, or indoors open to air (it looked like there were plastic sides that could be rolled down for inclement weather). The server told us to sit anywhere we wanted. If you want to order alcohol there are designated areas (state regulation or some such rules). Every seat has a great view of all the fancy boats docked in the marina. An easy way to feel like you're rich, even if you're not. :) Flower plantings were beautiful. The strawberry lemonade was outstanding: sweet, tart, and refreshing. My friends enjoyed overflowing mai tais. The fish tacos were excellent - hot and crispy fried fish, with delicious slaw, pickled onions, and sriracha aioli. A wonderful spot for old friends to catch up and spend a few hours on our beautiful seacoast! I will definitely return, and hopefully have more time to walk down the docks to check out all the amazing boats.

A great selection of seafood apps, and a variety of meat options in the entree section (steak, chicken, lamb, short rib, duck) and a couple of vegetarian items. Something for everyone. It was a Tuesday night and pouring rain. We arrived without a reservation. It was very busy. The bar and restaurant were full. There were two side bar seats available which we happily took while we waited for a table. We had a delicious cosmo and a glass of prosecco while we waited. The server let us know our table was ready, and we did not need to settle our bar tab before going to the table. I love that! I find it inconvenient when restaurants ask people to do that. The server even took our sopping umbrellas and put them in the umbrella stand by the door for us. So nice! We tried 2 appetizers, the Caribbean Curry Mussels and the Seared Ahi Tuna. I can't decide which one I loved more. Both were fantastic. The broth the mussels were in was so flavorful, rich, salty, not spicy, coconut deliciousness. I wanted to eat it all like a soup. There was no bread served with the mussels to soak up the broth...which I would have loved, but not having it did save me some carbs. The seared tuna was absolute perfection. Very slightly seared and served with a well dressed seaweed salad and two sauces (coulis style ) a charred jalapeño aioli and a mango coulis. For dinner we shared the arugula salad with strawberries and goat cheese (although there was very little goat cheese) in a delicious poppy seed vinaigrette, and the miso Marinaded seared salmon with sticky rice and mango salsa. The salmon was fantastic...perfectly cooked, very flavorful, the sticky rice was so delicious and chewy, and the mango salsa added sweetness. I love that they split the salad into two dishes for us. I love when restaurants do this. It's a nice touch to acknowledge the server was listening the we intend to share, and to make it easier for us to do so. And we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio. I will be back!

Make sure to book a reservation as this place is really busy and popular!…read more Items I ordered (as of 5/2026): - Lobster Mac and Cheese - $34 - This was really good. Fresh lobster with a great cheese combination. The crisp of the ritz crackers really brings the entire dish together. Good amount for the price. Would recommend. - Baked Artichoke Dip - $16 - Deliciously cheesy without everything feeling too heavy. Good amount of pita bread too! Would also order this again.

I wanted to love it here so badly. The reviews looked good, the views are incredible... but when…read moreyou're paying for a nice dinner, you expect the food to be as good as the view. It even says on the bottom of the menu "no substitutes. Our chefs make the menu for a specific purpose." Or something like that. But if that's the case, then I'd like to think the food would be good! Maybe our chef was out or something because it was bland and cooked improperly. First of all, it took forty five minutes just to get appetizers. And then our waitress took another 30 to take our food order. And then it took another hour for our food. We were there for three hours. Which is fine, but we were starving!!! The drinks were delicious but one was a bottle of wine, so that seems like the bare minimum. Beside service being slow (our waitress nice but very busy), let's get into the food which was the most disappointing thing... the flatbread was dry. The Brussel sprouts were good but the lardons were hard as a rock (clearly they cook things too long here). The salmon was good but portions seemed small. The soup was fine. The steak was supposed to come medium rare, but as you can see, it was closer to medium well (for $48 that is upsetting and embarrassing they couldn't cook a steak properly). My aunt got the chicken dish and she said it was the blandest thing she's ever had. But the biggest issue was the burger... It was my dad's birthday. So it was extremely frustrating when the burger, the thing he ordered, came out black. And there is a picture of it if you want to take a look. BLACK. Why bring it out? That is so bad on the restaurant! Our waitress immediately came over and said "we are making a new bun right now." So why bring it out? And the fries were cold. Same with my mom's haddock (everything was cold). He also asked for the burger to be medium rare and it was quite literally gray. I think when you go to a nice restaurant, you expect good food. And it was disrespectful to my father on his birthday. Thank goodness they took it off our bill (for that we are grateful), but clearly the kitchen needs some assistance because it ruins the experience when everyone is waiting to eat because one dish is done wrong. And clearly done wrong. It's expensive to go out nowadays. I'm not spending money on food that is mediocre at best. This was frustrating. Thank goodness for the nice view otherwise I feel like this restaurant wouldn't exist. sadly we won't be coming back and waiting weeks for this dinner was not worth it. Don't waste your money here. Or go for cocktails. That was at least good.
