It is located between Fort Lauderdale & Pompano Beach, it features 2.5 miles of uncrowded beaches, a vibrant coral reef just 100 yards offshore, and a quaint, mid-century modern downtown anchored by Anglin's Pier which was destroyed years ago by a hurricane. There are many Safe metered parking lot nearby with several restaurants offering valet. Today there were planes & helicopters flying over head. The water was to warm, not refreshing. There are Adirondack chairs, shade, lifeguards, showers and chairs & umbrellas for rent.

Right across from the beach, the main strip along Commercial Blvd has a bunch of restaurants, bars, ice cream spots, and small local shops. It's very walkable and has that classic laid-back Florida beach town vibe. We loved just strolling around after the beach, grabbing food, and enjoying the atmosphere. If you want a quieter, charming beach area with plenty to do but without the chaos, this is definitely worth visiting.

It's just across the Ritz Carlton at the intersection of A1A and Sebastian. It's a beach open to all, but mostly frequented by the LGBT+ community. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent. Almost always there's someone with nice music, so you have the option to be close to the sounds of music or take a quieter place a few feet away. The beach has some nice shower heads, so you can rinse off as you come in or leave the beach. Close to public transportation, shared rides or public parking lots, it's easy and convenient to most people who live in east of Federal and between Las Olas and Commercial. Check it out.

The water & shoreline has continued to uphold its beauty. I love coming here when I'm feeling the itch to get out by the water. The biggest change (for the worse) is there's now a parking fee. I preferred back when it was free but since I haven't been in a while I'm not sure how long it's been like this. The fee isn't terrible, which is somewhat a positive at least. The parking lot itself is massive so I've never had an issue finding a spot even on busy days. I noticed there's a lot more trash cans along the beach, which was great to see. There's some picnic tables, a fishing pier, multiple showers to rinse off at & plenty of space to lounge. There's a smaller public restroom which is definitely a smart new addition (since I'd last been). The scattered trees provide some shade but don't expect to find much else unless you're by the pier/restaurant. As far as this coast goes, I really enjoy coming to Dania compared to others. Most of the time I can take a short walk in either direction & find myself relatively alone which is my favorite thing to do outdoors. P.S. Utilize those trash cans! Pick up after YOURSELF & OTHERS. Whatever you bring with you, take it back. Just because you didn't bring the trash doesn't mean you can't pick it up. Let's work together to keep our beaches clean.

While visiting the beach you could check out the wooden pier for $2.00. The Johnson State Park is just north of the main parking lot which is now a flat $5.00 per hour. Fun fact: In the 1970's Dania Beach had a secluded nude beach called Whiskey Creek Hideout only accessible by boat.

The beach itself is wide, clean, and perfect for a relaxing stroll or simply sitting back and taking in the ocean views. During our visit the water was surprisingly cold, and there was quite a bit of seaweed along with lots of jellyfish, so swimming wasn't really in the cards for us. That said, the scenery alone makes it worth the visit. The sound of the waves, the ocean breeze, and the gorgeous shoreline create a peaceful place to unwind. There is a Walgreens and a convenience store across the street to load up on supplies and snacks. If you're just walking the sand or enjoying the view, Fort Lauderdale Beach is a lovely spot to spend some time and appreciate the beauty of the Atlantic.

Absolutely love Ft Lauderdale beach.The white sand and beautiful sunsets are a must…read more Over the summer took some family there.It was hard to pull EM and Justin out of the ocean.They were in for 2 hours enjoying body surfing and throwing footballs. The coolest part was walking in the morning and seeing the endangered sea turtles protection areas everywhere. I even saw a turtle early in the morning making it's way back into the ocean.Pretty cool!! We were fortunate enough to have a private beach due to hotel stayed at so was not busy with locals. Yoga class on the beach was spiritual and made for a Zen start of day.Stand up paddling was a must although it was very choppy that day.My old surfing skills luckily came in handy so only a few falls off board. Cannot wait for a return visit!!

This beach does not allow dogs, as it is east of A1A. It's flanked on each side by nice beachfront property, either tall condo buildings or stately single family homes. There's a nice shower right before the sandy beach. You can catch public transportation if you take BCT buses 55 or 11, depending from where you are coming from.
