We absolutely loved working with Laugh Loud Smile Big for our wedding at the Samoset! Kayla and Vicki were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and easy to work with from start to finish. They brought our wedding cake vision to life - the design was perfectly "us", and the macarons were so delicious we still dream about them. I even stopped by the bakery on our way home just to take a box with us! Highly recommend them to any couple looking for beautiful and unforgettable desserts.

Legit the best cupcakes ever. That I've ever hadddd. whenever I come to Maine now this is always a stop. The chocolate cake is the best I've ever had. So happy this is in Camden now!

Once again we found ourselves on the doorsteps of this specialized bakery though the doorsteps have moved from the original location in Rockport to the center of Camden. Not a problem because our orders have not changed, a pair of lemon curd cupcakes and a single salted caramel. The salted caramel barely survived the short drive to our room before being consumed by the pair of us. The first lemon curd lasted only until shortly after dinner while the remaining one served as dessert the following night. All 3 were fresh and delicious though if I had to choose just one and only one that one would be the lemon curd.

This is also called the Cupcakery. The name on the outside of the building is The Cupcakery but the business name is Laugh Loud Smile Big. Its a bit confusing. Now that we are past that, you have to visit this place. THE CUPCAKES ARE DELICIOUS. Seriously delicious. Best I've had in a long time and I eat a lot of desserts. We tried the reindeer cake pop (yum), the white wedding (white wedding cake, creamy vanilla frosting), the chocolate peppermint (fudgey moist chocolate cake and peppermint frosting), and the lemon curd (vanilla cake, lemon filling). Each one was better than the next. Worth a stop if you are in the area. And the place is adorable and the employees are friendly and welcoming. Hang out with girlfriends, bring the kids, go buy yourself and order 6, just go.

    My favorites!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The people, the atmosphere and of course the cupcakes! I recommend the lemon, salted caramel, raspberry....who am I kidding I recommend all of them!! I live an hour away and will drive to their shop for any occasion that I can bring cupcakes to! The cherry on top is they are a huge supporter of local charities so when I spend my money I know it will be put back into the local economy

What a great place we found to send special treats for our son and his family. We live in California - so having a dependable - delicious company to make our loved ones really feel the love when we can't be there.

Such a great addition to our community! Every day the cupcake flavors change so it's nice to cycle through some favorite choices. The current location is walkable from the high school so our high school girls sometimes plan a trip there with friends. I like to order half a dozen or so at a time as a dinner dessert option. I also appreciate the ability to order ahead (by at least one day) if you want specific types or to pick up for a party. The flavors are tasty and varied. My son likes the Boston Cream, my daughter like raspberry and lemon filled and my husband likes the chocolate peanut butter. You can get most flavors in a choice of chocolate or vanilla cupcake. They have nice boxes that protect your cupcakes when you take them home. My favorite way to eat my cupcake is to pull back the wrapper and pour 1-2Tb of milk or tea to get soaked up by the cupcake from the bottom. :-)

    Dozen to go

Located in an odd locale but once found there is plenty of parking. The cupcakes are not cheap but tasty and savory. I was first introduced to them at a wedding and I was sold. If you need something for a special occasion or just a mouth water treat, this is a great stop!

We decided to get one on our way out of town and I'm so incredibly glad we did. Another review says these are the best pies on earth. They're not exaggerating. At all. That blueberry pie was the best pie on earth. I don't need to describe every detail. It's absolute perfection. Seriously, this pie is so good you might have to admit it's better than your grandmother's. The location is tucked away on the main road in and out of Bar Harbor. It's so cute! One sister runs the bakery while the other runs the Bed & Breakfast (which looks absolutely adorable). I'd go back and stay at their b&b just to eat pie all day everyday.

Mount Desserts Pie Company had thousands of positive reviews, so we decided that's where we had to go. When you arrive, there is a handmade sign on the side of the highway for the shop and the driveway to pull in is a little tricky and takes a minute to figure it out. We pulled up right in front of the doors. Tip: turning right after you enter the driveway says "exit" only, so you have to pull straight ahead, even if it seems like you're not supposed to park there. We headed inside and were greeted by a friendly woman named Brit who had a ton of pie boxes ready to go! We got our blueberry pie and ate half of it in the car after we drove away. The pie was exactly what we wanted: fresh, local, great texture, and buttery crust. It was perfection! Another tip: it's cash or Venmo only and you can call ahead. $35 per pie. It's whole pies only, they don't sell by the slice.

I don't know what to talk about first. The cheesecake. Their business model. Trust. Faith…read more Okay, the cheesecake. FRICKEN' AMAZING and DELICIOUS. Every single flavor that we tried...... and we had a really difficult time deciding which flavors to try of their 60 +/- flavors AT ALL TIMES. We didn't want to be pigs about it... well, actually, we DID want to be pigs, but we didn't let ourselves, and it was darn difficult to limit how many flavors to try out of 60. Every piece was fresh, perfectly made cheesecake, and every flavor was well represented. Being in Maine, we HAD to try blueberry cheesecake. We also tried strawberry, lemon blueberry, cannoli, apple crisp, and s'mores. Sad to say, we never finished them, but we tried them all, and they lasted a good long while. All were perfect and delicious. Now, for their business model. Imagine a business open 24/7... the doors are always open, and NOBODY is working in the storefront with the exception of people (the owners, I'm assuming) loading in more cheesecake flavors when they run out. The business is run COMPLETELY on the honor system. If memory serves, there are 3 ways to pay, but I only recall with specificity the Venmo way to pay cuz that's what I used. I think they accepted checks and one more way to pay, but I don't really recall. Let me be clear, though... it is up to each individual to be on their honor system and pay for what they want to take. Where else on this earth do you know of any retail type shop where people are left to their honor to pay for goods? I have never heard of nor seen any such thing like this before. I could have just as easily walked right out with my cheesecake slices and not paid for any of them. Nobody would have known. They don't check. They don't ask. I'm so impressed by this business model and the fact that it works !!!! I witnessed it. Everyone was paying. It truly is a testament about faith and trust, and it still works. This is just brilliant. Momo's also sells gargantuan pieces of carrot cake, which we did not try, as well as whoopie pies, which we also didn't try. If they sell other items besides the above, I just didn't see them, but I think they have quite enough already. Sixty + flavors of cheesecake alone should keep people happy. The only downside to Momo's is that we live nowhere near it, but I'm truly glad for the experience we had.

Such a fun experience to go in and make some tough decisions - or don't and just get one of each! I didn't realize I needed a grab and go cheesecake experience in my life until my friend sent a reel about this place!! I got the lemon blueberry, it was amazing. So much flavor, well balanced combo of lemon and blueberry coming through! My friend got the Cherry Garcia and I tried a bite, it was good, nice cherry and chocolate pairing! Apologies to the those facing lactose challenges, this place is going to feel like torture! I did get some baklava, which as also delicious! There are some other cake options as well.
