If I could put 0 as a review I would. I called ahead of time to ask what time did they close and I was told they close at 9, but services end at 7:30. I stated I'd be there by 7:30 and she told me it was fine. I ended up not being able to make it by the time given so I chose to come the next day. I drove 40 minutes to come to this location being they did my original piercing and I loved the customer service. I arrive PRIOR to 7:30 just to be told they're done for the day. I explained what was told to me and all I wanted was a jewelry swap, no piercing, and she stated she would ask the piercer. 15 minutes goes by and the piercer walks to the customers ahead of me and said "I'll help you pick your jewelry, you'll be my last customer for the night " as I'm still waiting in the waiting area. The piercer then walks up to me and states they are the last customer and she is booked for the night. Meanwhile the front desk representative then puts a sign on the door. I am now slightly frustrated being I drove a far distance to be told 7:30 is subject to change. That was not told to me over the phone whatsoever and the sign was placed AFTER I walked in and sat down. Then the piercer goes to try to meet me half way and attempt to service me? Why would I want your service after telling me sorry you are booked & I wasn't going to be helped today. It was extremely unprofessional and I will no longer come to this location! I have always had a great experience at the Upland location and I was recommended everyone to make the drive there being they treat their customers amazing! read more

I dislike writing negative reviews, but I felt the need to do so to avoid others from having a similar experience that my friend did. Piercer named hope was so unprofessional and rude when piercing my friend. After my friend kindly suggested to move the position of the dot, the piercer insisted that it was placed correctly (very odd). And after the piercing was done it looked obviously uneven/disproportionate (considering the placement of this piercing is important to get as symmetrical as possible). Even the piercer admitted it didn't look right when she was told BEFORE putting the needle through. My friend left the shop with a coupon to get it pierced again but after the service there's no way she wants to go back. Not sure if maybe she's a young new piercer but she needs the experience and learn how to take the clients words as it's a service to someone's body! read more

Got my piercing here (which was way expensive compared to other places) and I came back a few weeks later because I need to switch out my screw which was so damn tight. Got in, they helped me take out ONE screw, which didn't even last ten seconds, and I have the surprise of my life as I get out the room. "Will that be cash or card?". You guys are charging me for a single screw? Whatever, I paid those ten dollars and i am now not recommending this place to anyone anymore (fyi I go to UCR). wouldnt recommend.. its not wallet friendly at all. I went in to get my piercing downsized and because i didnt get it pierced there, they charged me excessive amount of fees . I paid $45+ for them to simply change the jewlery to a smaller one (eyebrow) . Considering the fact that to just simply get one there is $35 is insane. Not only this, but the lady at the front desk was very rude. I got no greeting, which is fine ok but the fact that she was on her phone and i had to wait for her to finish so she could charge me is so annoying. I also heard from a friend that they charge you more if you want to get the piercing done by the actual piercer or they charge u less if u want to get it done by the desk lady/ cashier. Girls, do NOT get a piercing from the male piercer here. As this dude was looking at me, I noticed that he had a bridge piercing that had either a swastika or a manji symbol on it. However this man is white, so take from that what you will. The piercing goes fine, but then afterwards he starts to explain the "male" and "female" components of a piercing and rather than beginning in a normal way, starts by saying "imagine both of us naked" and continues the metaphor from there. I don't want to elaborate more because it disgusts me to even type it. There was no one else in the room, just me and this 50 year old dude, so I was freaking out somewhat. Luckily he didn't try anything but the experience overall was absolutely horrendous and I would never recommend anyone to get a piercing from that dude, at least not alone. Bring a friend or something. I'm never getting a piercing alone again. read more

Absolutely terrible. There's a million other places in Riverside with better customer service,better management, and an overall general comfortable VIBE. We bought a piercing for my child in Jr. high....TOLD THE MANAGER she was a 7th grader. No problem...they took our money with a smile and that was that. Was told to bring the appropriate paperwork on piercing day. Came the day after Xmas...after Hope flat out told us she wasn't going to do it I asked her to call the manager. She then decided to call the manager..but muffled the phone in front of us and took the conversation to a back room. Then told us she wouldn't pierce. Then told us we couldn't get our money back until a 'manager was on site'...which was the end of the week. The transparency wasn't there OR what a terrible job by the manager for not clarifying absolutely ANYTHING. Honestly Hopes attitude was the worst..the way she treated my honor roll daughter (in there as a reward for straight As and smiling ear to ear)..was absolutely appalling. It was the WORST customer service, the worst ran place I've been to in a long time (as Hope proceeded to tell us we needed to know exactly what date and time we bought the certificate because she wasn't gonna have to 'look' for it). Go elsewhere. I could suggest a few. This place will be gone soon I guarantee. Just don't make the bad decision. Go elsewhere...if you want the zen experience while getting pierced...this is ABSOLUTELY NOT the place to go read more

DO NOT COME HERE. There's BETTER piercing shops in riverside to go to. Everyone was super friendly and kind, but they're not very informative. I was charged $130 for a belly piercing but paid $145 with tip & solution. $130 is super expensive for a navel piercing. I was charged for the service and gem which i understand but dang that's expensive. Usually they cost $75-$80 with service included. On the wall it is listed as $40. I also asked how much it would be & I was told $70. Which is a lie because my piercing ring alone was $75 not including the service. I wish I was told how pricey that ring was before they pierced me. Anyways, my other bad experience was when I had an emergency! My piercing (not from here) had swelled up & my skin was beginning to cover my piercing. I needed it out asap and I saw they closed at 9. I called at 7:55pm which I know was late. I explained my situation to the girl on the phone. She told me they stopped service at 8:30 but to go in asap because I needed help. I showed up, the man took a look at my piercing & it was bad ! I was about to be taken to the back but then they asked for id. I had gotten my piercing done here before & they took a photo copy of my id. But when asked for my id, I didn't have it. Mainly because I was In a rush to get my piercing removed but also, I wasn't told on the phone I needed one. Not sure why they took a copy of my id if they dont keep a file but i guess ? I was then refused service. I asked if my boyfriend's id was ok, they said no. Which doesn't make sense if minors need parental consent, it would essentially be the same thing. So I told the girl I needed to run home & get it. She told me it was okay. I returned back at 8:30 which they refused me again because they already started cleaning their equipment in the back ! I found this super rude especially how much of an emergency I was in. My cheek was swollen & my piercing at this point was almost completely covered by my skin. I wasn't asking for a new pericing I asked for help. The Laughing Buddha employees couldn't have cared less. I work too, i understand the feeling of wanting to go home but as professionals, they let me stay in pain. I luckily found a tattoo shop in Colton which thank god ! But they popped it out within a min. They took my situation very seriously and acted quickly. I didn't need to show Id and wasn't charged because they knew how serious it was. Definitely don't recommend this place. As cute & clean as it looks, not worth getting pierced or getting help here. The pericings are cool and nice but long story short is, find somewhere because this place is not it ! read more

I would give 2 stars, just because the woman at the front desk was really nice. The piercer was pretty horrible. Dave may be skilled, but he has no business working with children. We arrived 10 minutes early so we had time to settle in, as my 6 year old daughter was both excited and nervous. We waited about 15 minutes past our scheduled time (we were done with paperwork quickly). We had heard from other parents that the piercers walked kids through every step, allowed for nerves, were kind and reassuring, and played kid videos for distraction. None of that happened. He seemed annoyed from the beginning. He didn't explain what he was doing, so my daughter got more nervous, so I had to explain what each step was, and again, he would then agree with what I told her, but seemed very annoyed. After the first ear was done, she got more nervous and cried quietly, and Dave told us how he had 27 years experience, then told my 6 year old, that he had more than 4 times her age in years of experience. Good grief. I asked for a moment for her, and he threw up his hands and said, " I don't do this!", then said if she couldn't get it together quickly he was done. That is absolutely unacceptable behavior! He walked out, I calmed her, then called him back. He quickly did the 2nd ear, said he was done, and walked out. I was seething. What a horrible experience. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to upset my daughter. But, please, don't let him work with young children. read more
