This review is long overdue!!! If you are looking for an acupuncture, look no further! Laura is the real thing. She has helped both of my elderly parents and achieved results in a short period of time. I am forever thankful for her!!! She is super dedicated and amazing. My mom had a brain bleed and after a month in the hospital came home with no ability to use her right side. We saw Laura 3x time a week and after 3-4 weeks she had full mobility again. My mom's caregivers were so amazed they started going to her too. When my mom had a stroke 9 months later it results in loss of left side use of her arms and legs. Again we started treatment and she regained full usage. My father later got a bizarre bright red rash from his wrist to his elbow which was super itchy right before Thanksgiving. We first went to the GP who gave us a steroid which helped with the itch but not the redness. We went to a derm a month later who gave us a HUGE tub of steroid cream, so essentially useless. After one visit to the Laura on Xmas eve, the redness and itch literally dissipated within hours?! Wish I had taken pictures along the way. It sounds super crazy but the caregivers were again amazed! I am so happy that I found Laura Acupuncture Clinic on Yelp! I recently tweaked my back and my sciatica flared up. Massages, stretching, visiting the chiropractor, taking anti inflammatory meds...nothing worked. So I was determined to try something new. Dr Laura is the best! I came in with years of lower back pain/sciatica. I had become desperate but wanted to try alternative options as I was being offered medication (steroids) and a cortisone injection that is like an epidural. I am so amazed by Laura's healing skills that I feel the need to write another review. I have been seeing Laura for a few years now. In December, I got a sinus infection that I never fully healed from. I went to see an ENT specialist and my primary care physician. They could not figure out why I was having sinus problems and pressure pains. Even with a CT scan, they found nothing. I tried nasal rinse and Zyrtec twice a day for a couple of months which didn't help. My PCP decided to give me migraine medication instead. My symptoms got worse over time. I started to have migraines and had to sleep days away because my head was throbbing so much and the sinus pressure was too much. I couldn't sleep well. During my visit with Laura, she assured me that she can help me fix this. I have to admit, I was very inflamed and the needles going in were painful. Afterwards, I felt so much better! After 6 months of suffering and doctors not being able to help me, I finally feel hopeful and I am looking forward to more sessions with Laura. I am so grateful to have found Laura. She helped stop my suffering. I finally had a night of restful sleep. I should've gone to see Laura instead of my medical doctor - I just didn't realize acupuncture can help treat this too. Today I came back for my 3rd treatment for while body aches and headaches. I had two sessions of acupuncture. First was front body and second for my back. Front body is for headache, cure my eczema, and sinus pain. Back body acupuncture is for my migraines, head ache, and Lower body aches. When the needles were inserted, I can feel a tingling sensation. Dr Helen told me that my body is responding well to it. Channel's are being unblocked and I can slowly naturally recover. This is a holistic treatment, that's why i love it. It gives Your body the chance to use Your own strength and ability to cure itself. The needles just help with the direction for cure. I am so happy that I found Dr. Laura! She amazes me, and I am pretty sure she can help fix anything. I came to her this week with a lot of pain in my foot. Initially I went to urgent care because I was worried that there might be a stress fracture. They told me there wasn't (a relief!) but I wasn't really given any answers about what was causing the pain or how to treat it. They barely even looked at it! I was basically told just to rest it. Two hours later I went and saw Laura. She was kind enough to squeeze me in, thank goodness!! First of all, she spent a bit of time feeling around my foot, where the pain was and what was inflamed. She was able to determine that a tendon was the culprit. She gave me acupuncture treatment targeted at that tendon. I will admit I was a little scared at the prospect of needles in my foot. Well it turns out it wasn't bad at all, Laura really knows what she's doing! She also gave me some herbals to soak my foot in to help increase my circulation and speed up healing. So I went home and did that. The next morning, after 5 days of barely being able to walk, I felt significantly less pain!!! This was the first thing they actually worked for me!! I am a runner and I compete in long distance endurance races. Injuries are bound to happen here and there, and Dr Laura and her acupuncture techniques have helped to get me back to running faster than anything else. She really cares, she participates in competitions too (swim) so she knows how important it is to get back to my sport! I would encourage EVERYONE to go see Laura. The team is extremely professional. They offer online new patient form which I can fill out before I go to the office which I think is pretty neat. Other clinics should also do that to save time waiting outside the lobby. They are just really kind and the doctors and staffs are so kind. They know exactly how to treat patients and customers. I have had tendonitis in my dominant arm for over a year. I saw an orthopedic doctor and he sent me to physical therapy for five months. That helped considerably, but I was unable to play tennis, and it was painful to wash dishes or do any cleaning or activities that required use of my arm. My insurance wouldn't pay for any further physical therapy. I continued to do the exercises recommended by the physical therapist, but the situation stayed about the same for four more months. I had never even considered acupuncture or Chinese medicine before, but I decided that it was worth a try. I selected Dr. Laura based on other Yelp reviews, and the fact that she treated sports injuries. Dr. Laura and her staff were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything she was going to do and the reasoning behind it. The arm started feeling a little better after about three treatments. I got the flu while being treated for the arm, and Dr. Laura gave me some herbal remedies and additional acupuncture to help resolve that as well. I had about eight treatments in total. My arm isn't 100%, but it's much, much better than it was when I first saw Dr. Laura. She gave me some further exercises to do, and I'm hopeful I'll get some further improvement.
