It's recommended to make an appointment with MJ ahead of time. If you're looking for a specific style, I also suggest you message her first with pictures of what you would like, so she can prepare and work with you. I appreciate that she's honest with me about what will work and what she may have to change to help suit my face and needs. MJ's studio is small, clean, and cozy. She'll do her best to try to make sure you're comfortable during the appointment. She'll also give suggestions on how to take care of and style your hair if you got any chemical treatments done. And the reason I didn't communicate with her earlier is she was on the phone with her friend for 10 mins in the beginning while cutting my hair and didn't talk with me, then she told me to relax. Honestly I'm not picky with my short haircut but didn't expect her to be so rude with her responses. I have been a nice and friendly client over the couple of years and she rushed me out. This is it. Won't second guess maybe she is busy and tired, Maybe she has a bad day? I don't like conflicts but this is definitely not nice.
