We LOVE Dr. Hackett! I don't believe the negative reviews about her as they sound made up - as she has never pushed an agenda on me or my kiddos. She always listens to my concerns and asks my kids questions about their health. We've been seeing her for about 5 years now and I couldn't recommend her more! There have been times where she's really spent time with us talking through how mental health like emotional well being is just as important as physical well being. My kids definitely like her and feel comfortable around her. She's always given great advice but has always made it clear that it's our choice. BEST DOCTOR EVER!!! We've been seeing Dr. Lauren Hackett as our pediatrician for the past four years and have always been very impressed with her knowledge and standard of care. She has always listen to our concerns and given great advice. I'm so sad to see the other reviews who seem to not really know her at all and are upset not really with her, but with hospital policies. AVOID THIS DOCTOR!!! My wife took our baby in for a well visit, we recently switched insurances to a PPO and chose to visit Dr. Lauren Hackett. Her bio read that her main focus was on supporting parent's decisions to raise their kids how they choose, and to be a medical support in offering advice, but ultimately leaving the parenting to the parents. This was appealing to read about because this is how it should be when working with doctors. This was our first visit with Lauren Hackett and will be our last. She was rude, overstepped her boundaries with us as a first time patient - she knows nothing about our baby or medical history or background and then proceeds to throw a fit and belittle my wife for not being a good mom because she disagreed with Lauren's medical opinions. Lauren then proceeded to threaten us that if we do not adhere to her advice she will no longer see us, nor will any other major network doctor - even though we are insured to see any major network doctor we want. She displayed a very shallow mindset today as a "doctor" and was very unprofessional. I'm very disappointed and she should not be working with children. The medical board should be aware that they have a doctor who is wanting to play God and decide which patient they help and don't help based on if they agree with everything they say, and then threaten us that no doctor will see us. We pay a hefty price for a PPO insurance and the day that is refused because of some doctor's ego - sounds like a massive law suit to me. I've been going to Dr. Hackett for all of my three kids since they were born. They are tweens now and she has been taking so much care to discuss their emotional well-being, screen time, all things beyond just physical health. She is amazing! She takes more time and care than any doctor Ive ever seen-- she even called me at home to check up on my kid who was sick. She goes above and beyond! We followed her from her san clemente practice to irvine. I've noticed reviews upset about vaccine schedules-- sounds like new parents who don't understand that pediatricians have to adhere to their practice's standards, it's not in the doctor's control. read more

Dr. Hackett was overbearing and rude in our appointment when I wanted to delay a vaccine for my baby due to family vaccine injuries. She told me she supports parental medical freedom over their child but only to a point. read more

Hate to do this, but I am hoping this negative review would motivate Dr Hackett to respond to my appeal. I am a physician. My nephew was charged nearly $3000 for routine immunizations for his kids, and was misled by Dr Hackett's office that the charges would be fully covered by his traveler's insurance. They weren't, and he is now being sent to collection. The office has been unresponsive to my nephew's appeal. I reached out to Dr Hackett on his behalf, but so far she has been unresponsive. Dr Hacket is amazing. She has a wonderful, caring approach to her patients and takes time to really understand them. When she moved from a practice in San Clemente several years ago we continued to take our child to see her in Irvine despite the extra 30 minute drive. She is THAT good. We love seeing Dr Hackett. She is extremely thorough, caring and appropriately concerned about any issues my kids have. We've never felt rushed and as my kids are teens, she takes the time to speak to them about their issues even if they seem minor. She's easy to get a hold of via My Chart. The only issue I've had is Memorial Care's phone system is tedious to get a live person on but that's an admin issue not Dr Hackett's purview. read more

We have been seeing Dr Hackett for over a year now for our two kids. She is polite, attentive, great bedside manners. She makes pediatric visits feel like you're talking to another mom for some advice. When there is a problem, she calls and follows up and makes sure that your child is doing well. read more

Dr Hackett is the best! She's been awesome since our daughter was 3 days old. Anytime we message her on the app she always gets back to us super quick. She's been super helpful with everything as our daughter has very sensitive skin and milk intolerant. So glad we chose her to be our pediatrician! read more

I had a really disappointing experience with this doctor. Not only did they charge me for asking how's my child doing in general during a child WellCare appointment but they seemed irritated and rushed throughout the entire visit. I expected better patient care and consideration. The front desk even told me that I'm not suppose to ask any questions during the entire visit. It's unfortunate that they prioritize charging for simple inquiries over providing quality medical attention. I won't be returning to this practice. read more
