Prices have increased and are not transparent. I was shocked at a cost of last treatment.

Consistently great manicures and pedicures! Very relaxing environment too. Recommend as great nail…read morespot in Ballard.

I came in last Friday for a builder gel fill with a French manicure and paid over $100. I only needed extensions on a couple of nails, not a full set. Within seven days, more than half of my nails had chipped, cracked, or broken. For a builder gel service at this price point, I don't think that level of wear after one week is reasonable. That said, things happen. I wasn't coming in looking to complain or expecting a confrontation -- I simply wanted them fixed. At my previous appointment, I had specifically been told that if anything happened to my nails within 10 days, they were happy to repair them. I came back exactly one week later based on what their own employee had told me. Unfortunately, the way I was treated when I came in made an already disappointing quality issue significantly worse. When I explained why I was there, Nancy at the front desk barely acknowledged me before calling other employees/technicians over. They were discussing and whispering amongst themselves about my nails while I stood there rather than simply communicating with me directly. It immediately made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a problem for asking them to fix something I had specifically been told they would fix. They asked me to return an hour later, which was completely fine with me. I had no problem accommodating their schedule. But when I returned, that same feeling continued. The technician who initially started repairing my nails got up midway through the service and another technician took over without anyone explaining what was happening. And after all of that, the repair itself still wasn't done properly. The photos attached to this review were taken TODAY, AFTER they took an hour to repair my nails. These aren't photos showing why I originally came back -- this is how my nails looked when I left the salon after the repair. Both middle nails are noticeably shorter than the others, the lengths don't match, and there is still visible chipping/damage. The interaction when I was leaving was probably the most frustrating part. Nancy told me they "wouldn't charge me this time," but that going forward I needed to be more careful with my nails because it isn't their fault if they break. I explained that I am careful with my nails and that I had just spent over $100 on this manicure seven days ago. I specifically asked whether this amount of chipping and breakage in such a short period could instead be an issue with the quality of the service, and that concern was dismissed while the responsibility was essentially put back on me. That's what bothered me most. If something goes wrong with a service, fine -- give the business an opportunity to make it right. That's exactly what I tried to do. But don't tell a client that you're happy to repair issues within 10 days and then make them feel like a burden when they actually come back within that window. I also manage a business here in the neighborhood with a large local community, so supporting other Ballard businesses genuinely matters a lot to me. Part of the reason I wanted Aimée to work so badly is because they're right here in the neighborhood, they're incredibly convenient for me, and I would much rather continue spending my money with businesses in the community around me. I've continued giving them opportunities for exactly that reason. Unfortunately, after multiple visits, the inconsistency in both the quality of my nails and the level of customer service is starting to feel like a pattern rather than a one-off experience. Today was ultimately the point where I left feeling genuinely uncomfortable and embarrassed for having raised a completely reasonable concern. For $100+, I expect builder gel to hold up better than this after one week. And if there is an issue, I expect the repair to be done properly and to be treated respectfully while it's being addressed. Unfortunately, I didn't get either of those things here. I really wanted Aimée to become my regular neighborhood nail salon, but between the inconsistent quality and how I was made to feel today, I unfortunately can't justify continuing to spend this much money here.
