I had the Truffled pizza. Let me tell you about the flavor country I visited while enjoying this pie. The lemon garlic cream sauce made a lovely foundation for the mozzarella, provolone, thin strips of crispy bacon, mushrooms, and white truffle drizzle. The gluten-free crust was light and bubbly, though a bit on the well-done side, which I didn't mind. Overall, yes, yes, and yaaas! The roast beef and swiss sandwich on the gluten-free baguette was generous, rustic, and delicious. Caramelized onions, mushrooms, horseradish, stacked layers of roast beef and melty swiss were super satisfying. And let's not forget the sweets. We had 2 different cupcakes. Hello. I ordered a birthday cake for my Mom this past weekend. Lemon (sponge or lighter than normal cake batter) with lemon curd, with fresh blackberries and lemon icing. What a hit with all. I love trying to support small business owners and Lavender Jones Macarons are a hit! I stopped by after going on a research visit and was pleasantly surprised by their options! I got to meet one of the owners who told me how they have hundreds of flavors and they rotate! The owner told me they had such a great demand that they decided to create a store. I tried their pumpkin spice biscotti which was delicious and I got 2 packs of macarons one for my friend and one from me. Plenty of parking Clean. Cute decor. Wide assortment of Macarons. I am not very well versed in Macarons and they were prime examples ( I looked it up on my smarty phone). I am very glad my first macaron were from here!! The entire bakery is gluten free. I tried the cheesecake. The base consisted of almond flour. It was the most amazing! Delicious, 100% dedicated gluten free bakery!! Stopped in today and got cheesecake with rivals the best I've had- light, tangy and so creamy!! My non gf family member vouches it's the best. Also, e got pistachio olive oil cake, chocolate peanut butter cupcakes, biscotti, vegan carrot cake & chocolate mint cookies. I shared these items with people who do not eat gluten free and everyone enjoyed them throughly. Wonderful bakery. Cannot wait to go back soon and try the delicious macaron. I LOVE this place. Seriously, I'm obsessed with it. Everything in it is gluten free, which is such a rare find. I've had a bunch of different things; their cupcakes, their cinnamon rolls, some different scones and strudels, lemon bars....but their macarons are my absolute favorite. They have so many amazing flavors, they are so fresh tasting. My favorite are the bomb pop, the blueberry cheesecake, lemonchello, snickerdoodle...hell, I love them all honestly. I've never had a bad one. The owner is so nice and is so passionate about what she does. I haven't had their pizzas that they've added to the menu yet, but I will soon enough. I ordered two cakes for my mom's birthday (the chocolate and cassata) and WOW, were they beautifully decorated, rich and delicious. I came from out of town, and the staff allowed me to pick up the cakes on a day they're not normally open, which I appreciate. Also, it's just so hard to find delicious gluten-free cake, but most of our family had no idea they were gluten-free. One small slice was very filling and yummy. And I couldn't believe how lovely they were. Next time I'm in Painesville I'll find a reason to order from them again! read more

It was a JOY to find this bakery! I visited Lavender Jones for the first time earlier this week, and it did not disappoint. I sampled a macaron there, and ended up leaving with a half dozen different flavors, plus a piece of olive oil cake, and ordered some gluten-free goodies for Thanksgiving. When I heads that there was a new place where Cora's used to be I was super excited to try it out and see what was there. The aesthetic inside is really nice and bright. They have a very good spread of different flavors for their macarons. For my birthday I got a assortment of them and they were delicious. I recommend trying the cookies and cream flavor or birthday cake if they have it. Only thing is the cost but I understand that they do take quite awhile to make and you have to make money some how. Being a fan of both Macarons and any floral foods, been awaiting my trip to Lavender Jones. First and foremost, they have an array of flavors to choose from. I was like a kid in a candy store, and opted for what I came for-- Lavender and Rose. I know that while she packed up in a lovely box, I had no choice than to try a Maple Bacon macaron. When I visit Ohio, I usually go pick a maple bacon donut but now, don't even need that. I got my Fall Flavor in such a fresh wonderful delight. For you Macaron queens out there, this is a must go to. Fresh, smooth, fluffy delicate creams, flavors satisfy the palate, slight crunch what we love. I cannot believe that she had STICKY PUDDING!!! It was as good as any I've had in London I may add. I am ecstatic that I found this awesome macaron bakery (and other great offerings). I highly recommend and will be back before trip is over. BTW, it is vegan friendly too. Props to LJ!!!! read more
