Sadly, I won't be going to Lavish anymore. I hate to be this person, but here we are. I went in for a gel manicure instead of SNS, specifically because I didn't want to have to go back to get SNS off. The nail tech did SNS anyway and I didn't realize until halfway through. She then tried to charge me for SNS, even though I had asked for gel. After speaking with her about it, she switched it back. A month later, I tried to take the SNS off myself, but without success. I called the salon and asked if they would take it off for free since I never asked for it in the first place (I was happy to tip though!). The person who answered the phone spoke to Jimmy, one of the owners, and Jimmy agreed that I could get it off for free, so I made an appointment. I got a pedicure and I got the SNS taken off. I spoke to the person at the front and told her that Jimmy had said I wouldn't be charged for the SNS removal. The person asked the other owner, Jimmy's wife, Katie, and Katie refused to honor it. She said it was a "miscommunication." Again, hate to be a complainer, but I thought it was important to share. I won't be going back. read more

I made an appointment for Sunday morning. Despite having an appointment I was told that both my services could not be performed. Definitely a lack of integrity! As a first time customer I decided to try this nail salon due to high reviews, when asked the fees for service I was told $30 for a pedicure and $45 for SNS + an extra $5 for tips. Whenever I went to checked out there was an additional $20 in service charges, I asked about the additional charges I was told that there was additional fees for shape and ombré (never mentioned) whenever I said that should have been disclosed beforehand I was told sorry that's the cost! Gel polish was thin hated it. Feet itches after service wouldn't recommend stay away

I chose this place because it was the closest to my home. I showed up at 6:30pm for a soak off and regular gel manicure. I would have given them 5 stars because my nails look great. I'm giving them 3 stars because I was greeted very well upon entry and assisted with gel colors. However, the nail tech Susan was not very welcoming. I tried to make light conversation hoping that would help, it did not. It was as if was a chore to do my nails. When it was time to pay, I handed her my card. She then slammed the card and receipt on the counter and said ,"Sign". I signed my receipt and even left a tip because I knew it would be my first and last visit to this nail salon. I would much rather drive a little further from my home and pay more to be treated as if I'm welcomed. read more

Went to this place at 12pm to get my toes done on my birthday. I'm a African American girl and was told that they had no availability for the entire day. My friend was told this a few times as well when she came. She's also African American as well. So this place does not cater to black people. They just opened. Firstly, the whole atmosphere was relaxed with soft music and really comfortable chairs. The salon is very spacious and clean. The foot and leg massage was perfect, and I could have stayed all day. My nail turned out how I wanted it. I left with not only pretty toes but a complete sense of wellbeing. I first tried Lavish in October of 2021. They were great! Everyone was friendly and the salon is very clean. I got a gel manicue and pedicure and was very happy with the results. I went again around Christmas and again I was happy with the results. After having the polish removed in January I didn't go again for a while. I then tried to go and just get my toenails trimmed before my hip surgery. I made an appointment. However, I waited almost 30 minutes and no service. So I got up to leave and was told I was next and the tech was almost done with the other client. I left. My time is just as valuable as theirs. What good is an appointment if walk-ins come first? Their FB page says appointments come first but they didn't that day. I didn't go back again until the first part of December. Everything went great. Then I came in to get the gel removed. It was going fine for a while then Jimmy said something to the lady doing the removal. Since I don't know Korean, I can only guess what was said. I do know she rushed after that to get me out of there. It's a really nice salon but I get the feeling if you don't come on a regular basis, which I don't, you don't get treated the same. This is sad because I can give referrals and when I come it's usually around $75+. Not sure where I will go next time. read more

No gloves or hand sanitizer or washing hands from my nail technician. She touched the phone, other people's nails, etc. and then would touch my nails and put her finger nail on my cuticles and under my nails to break the glue that made my nails stick to my fingers.
